"Ooh~"
"Ooh~"
The train slowly pulled up and stopped in front of the platform.
"I don't want to go back, I don't want to go back..."
Zhao Lanying didn't care what Zhang Honghua said; she grabbed her and boarded the train.
Xiuxiu carried the luggage and followed closely behind the two.
Inside the carriage, Zhao Lanying found a seat and immediately pushed Zhang Honghua down.
"Xiuxiu, give me her luggage."
"Sister-in-law, here you go."
Taking the luggage from Xiuxiu, Zhao Lanying placed it directly into Zhang Honghua's arms. "This is your luggage, and your ticket. Take good care of it. If you lose it and can't get home, don't blame others."
"Here are some pancakes, Xiao Lu gave them to you. Take them with you to eat on the way. There is hot water on the train, so you can get some to drink."
"Zhang Honghua, you should have a conscience. Xiao Lu has been kind enough to you."
Zhang Honghua's face showed hatred. She silently shed tears and made no other reaction.
Benevolence and righteousness?
Renyi wouldn't send her back! Zhang Honghua held a grudge against him!
"Hopeless!"
Zhao Lanying shook her head, then pulled Xiuxiu and walked outside.
When she reached the end of the carriage, she found the train attendant, pointed to Zhang Honghua, and hoped that she could take better care of her.
"Comrade, this girl ran away from home. We've sent her back this time. Please take a look at her when you have time."
The train conductor glanced at it and agreed.
After getting off the train, Zhao Lanying and Xiuxiu didn't rush to leave. The two waited on the platform for the train to depart.
"Sister-in-law, why did you ask the train conductor to look after her?"
Xiuxiu clung to Zhao Lanying's arm, somewhat puzzled.
She gets angry whenever she sees Zhang Honghua, as if everyone owes her something.
“That girl is too troublesome. I’m afraid she’ll cause trouble on the way, so I’ve asked the train attendant to keep a close eye on her.”
Hearing this, Xiuxiu nodded in agreement; Zhang Honghua was indeed capable.
"Ooh~"
"Ooh~"
The train made two noises and slowly started moving.
On the train, Zhang Honghua peered out the window, glaring hatefully at the three people on the platform.
Once she leaves, she may never have the chance to come back again for the rest of her life.
Reflecting on her experiences over the past two days, she suddenly realized that apart from visiting a few animals on the grassland, she had spent the rest of her time confined to the guesthouse.
Thinking about this made her even more heartbroken.
"Zhang Honghua, never come back."
Outside the car window, Xiuxiu waved happily.
"Pooh!"
In this era, train windows could be opened.
Zhang Honghua pushed open the car window, poked her head out, and shouted at the platform behind her, "Lu Xiuxiu, I'm waiting for you to come back from our hometown. You just wait!"
Xiuxiu was startled, and she instinctively tightened her grip on Zhao Lanying's hand.
Zhang Honghua's current state is so insane; she's genuinely a little scared.
“It’s okay, Xiuxiu, we won’t go back. In a few years, I’ll have your sister find you a good young man in the troupe, and let Zhang Honghua be envious.”
"Sister-in-law, I...I don't want to."
Xiuxiu blushed and left with Lanying's sister-in-law.
She remembered her sister's instructions and didn't go straight back.
After taking the two to a state-run restaurant for a full meal, they boarded a jeep bound for the regiment.
...
A breeding farm.
After finishing her work at the shed, Lu Fangfang walked into the yard and looked up.
The wind that had been blowing for several days finally stopped. The sky was heavily overcast, and a few light snowflakes were drifting down.
"Little stubborn donkey, is it snowing?"
"Oh...ah..."
The little wild donkey looked up and then shook its body.
Walking up to Lu Fangfang, it stretched out its donkey head and nudged her.
"It really has snowed."
Lu Fangfang touched the little wild donkey and saw that her hands were wet.
She wondered why she wasn't cold anymore; it turned out it was going to snow.
She pushed open the door of the breeding shed and called the little wild donkey into the house.
"You stay put and don't wander off."
"Oh...ah..."
The little wild donkey walked to the stove on its own and lay down.
There was still some residual heat on the furnace wall, and it felt very comfortable to sit on it.
Lu Fangfang went to work in the shed for a while, then went out to take another look.
The snowflakes falling from the sky grew larger and faster, and in no time, a thick layer covered the ground.
"Should Xiuxiu and the others be back soon?"
Lu Fangfang was very worried, as the snow on the road would make it difficult to travel.
She put on a long gown and went to the main road to the north.
Looking eastward, the road was already covered in snow, and the withered grassland had become a white world.
"Awoo~"
"Huh? Little Flower and Little Yellow Dog are back?"
Lu Fangfang turned her head to look northeast and saw Xiao Hua and the little Tibetan fox running towards her.
These two little ones ran out early in the morning. She was puzzled at first, but when she saw the snow chicken in Xiaohua's mouth, she understood.
These two little guys must have gone to find Big Fatty again.
She quickened her pace and took the snow chicken from Xiao Hua's mouth.
"Little Flower, did Big Fatty catch this again? Well, now we owe him six snow chickens."
"Meow~"
Little Flower shook off the snowflakes, still somewhat excited.
Lu Fangfang took a look at the snow chicken. This snow chicken was different from the last one; its feathers were more vibrant, and it looked like it was a male.
Overjoyed, she bent down and ruffled Xiaohua's hair before turning and hurrying home.
The snow chicken had been carried so far by Xiaohua that it was practically rolling its eyes back in its head. She had to hurry and take it back before it died.
