Chapter 425 Rescuing the Tibetan Fox

After leaving Team Six, the little wild donkey pulled the sled all the way north and soon arrived at the territory of the female Pallas's rabbit.

The terrain here is low-lying, and the snow is thicker, making it difficult for the little wild donkey to walk.

Lu Fangfang held up her binoculars and looked around, only to find that the surroundings were all snow and there was no sign of the Pallas's cat.

"Little Flower, Little Yellow Dog, can you two see if you can find the mother Pallas's rabbit?"

"Meow~"

Little Flower stepped into the snow and looked around in confusion.

Beside it, the little Tibetan fox had the same expression. It lowered its head and sniffed, but couldn't smell anything.

The snow-covered meadow stumped the two little ones.

Seeing this, Lu Fangfang could only let the little wild donkey wander around the area.

"Sis, has that big cat not come out yet?"

Xiuxiu craned her neck and looked for a long time but found nothing. In fact, her eyes were almost blurry from looking.

"Maybe so. Once they've eaten their fill, they can go for days without eating."

Lu Fangfang also thought that the female Pallas's rabbit should still be sleeping in the burrow.

In this freezing weather, only the two of them were foolish enough to come out.

After looking around again with her binoculars, she couldn't find any trace of the mother Pallas's rabbit, so she drove the little wild donkey away.

After a while, they arrived at the Tuboling area again.

A family of seven Tibetan foxes, including five cubs, will have a greater need for food and may hunt at this time.

"Awoo~"

"Sis, look!"

Sure enough, they had only been there a short while when they spotted a large Tibetan fox searching for something on the snow in the distance.

"Sister, is that the male Tibetan fox?"

"Um."

Lu Fangfang looked through the binoculars and found that the male Tibetan fox had become much more haggard, with several of its black whiskers broken off.

A haggard male Tibetan fox

Looking at its appearance, Lu Fangfang couldn't help but laugh.

It seems being a stay-at-home dad is really tough; five kids are too much of a hassle.

"Awoo~"

The male Tibetan fox in the distance spotted them, gave them a warning call, and then busied itself again.

Its ears twitched, and it took a few steps forward, then stuck its nose into the thick snow, sniffing continuously.

The snow here was so thick that the two people on the sled saw its entire head submerged in the snow.

"Sis, is it looking for a pika?"

Xiuxiu lowered her voice and asked curiously.

Lu Fangfang nodded silently, then waved to Xiaohua and the little Tibetan fox, signaling them to study hard.

Even without her saying so, Little Flower and Little Tibetan Fox were watching intently.

Little Flower even imitated it, sticking its head into the snow and sniffing.

Hmm...

After a while, Xiaohua tilted her head back and gasped for breath.

It gained nothing but a head full of snowflakes.

In the distance, the male Tibetan fox sniffed several places, but to no avail. It turned its head and headed towards the grassland to the north.

Lu Fangfang patted the little wild donkey, urging it to hurry up and catch up.

The further north you go, the thicker the snow gets.

After a while, the male Tibetan fox stuck its head into the snow and sniffed, as if it had discovered something.

"Squeak~"

bass!

The male Tibetan fox leaped up and buried its head straight into the snow, leaving only its two short legs sticking out.

On the sled, the two men instinctively stood up, waiting for the moment when the male Tibetan fox would catch its prey.

After a while, Xiuxiu scratched her head and asked in confusion, "Sister, why isn't it getting up yet? Does hunting take this long?"

Hmm...

"Maybe...we should? Let's wait a bit longer."

Lu Fangfang didn't seem very confident in her statement.

The male Tibetan fox has always lived in this area, so it must have its own hunting experience.

"Sis, why are its hind legs kicking around like that?"

"broken!"

Lu Fangfang realized something was wrong, so she quickly told Xiuxiu to sit down and drove the little wild donkey over.

Zhuang Mingcheng said he hadn't seen such heavy snow in years, so the male Tibetan fox must be too. It has no experience hunting in deep snow, so it must be trapped by the snow now.

"Awoo~"

"Awoo~"

The male Tibetan fox stood upright in the snow, its hind legs kicking wildly, and a whimpering sound could be heard from within the snow.

Lu Fangfang quickly got off the sled, stepped through the thick snow, and arrived in front of the male Tibetan fox.

"Xiuxiu, you pull the left leg, and I'll pull the right leg, and we'll pull it out of the snow."

"Why."

"By the way, once you pull it out, throw it south. It's wild, be careful it doesn't bite."

Lu Fangfang was still worried, so she gave him another word of advice.

After saying that, she grabbed the male Tibetan fox's right leg, and Xiuxiu pulled on its left leg. With a combined effort, they pulled its entire body out of the snow.

Without delay, the two threw it directly into the snow to the south.

"Bang!"

"Awoo~"

The male Tibetan fox fell straight into the snow, whimpering as it quickly got up.

It was really frightened just now. It shook the snow off its head and saw that the two people were right in front of it, so it quickly took a few steps back.

"Awoo~"

"Awoo~"

The little yellow dog strode forward, barked at the male Tibetan fox, and started barking.

The male Tibetan fox ignored it.

It looked up at Lu Fangfang and Xiuxiu, then turned and ran away.

"Be careful when you hunt again. The snow is thick now, so don't get yourself stuck."

Lu Fangfang shouted at it.

He turned to look at Xiuxiu, who was laughing uncontrollably.

This male Tibetan fox is really funny. If they hadn't found it early, who knows when it would have been able to escape.

"Sis, with snow this thick, it dares to jump in with its face?"

Xiuxiu was also laughing; it had been absolutely hilarious.

"Sigh, there's nothing we can do, it still has to raise its babies."

After laughing, Lu Fangfang sighed.

Five children are hard to raise, let alone Tibetan foxes.

Still feeling a bit curious, she called to Xiuxiu and dug open the spot where the Tibetan fox was trapped to take a look.

Beneath the snow layer, there was a depression with a deep burrow inside, likely dug by a pika.

The snow was already thick in this area, and with that added depression, it's no wonder the male Tibetan fox got stuck.

Little Flower and Little Tibetan Fox walked closer and looked at it, then each sniffed the entrance of the cave, as if they understood something.

Seeing this, Lu Fangfang patted the two little ones and then called Xiuxiu to sit on the sled.

Following the male Tibetan fox's footprints, the two chased after it.

Soon, Lu Fangfang saw the male Tibetan fox again.

It kept plunging its head into the deep snow, sniffing intently, trying to catch its prey, but without success.

Finally, the male Tibetan fox returned home dejectedly.

The mother Tibetan fox sat in front of the cave entrance, waiting for it.
