By noon, Lu Fangfang and Xiuxiu had finished planting all the potatoes, filling seven or eight rows.
After working for a few days, she was quite tired and decided not to work anymore in the afternoon, wanting to rest for the afternoon.
After lunch, Lu Fangfang went to the breeding farm.
Inside the shed, Wang Meijun was holding a small notebook and following closely behind Sister Shufen.
Lu Fangfang leaned over to take a look and found that it contained the requirements for breeding, which she was quite satisfied with.
The work at the farm is quite simple; as long as you learn properly, you can get the hang of it in a few days.
Judging from Sister-in-law Meijun's learning attitude, she will soon be familiar with the inside and outside of the farm. It seems that the team leader did not make a mistake in hiring her.
"Sister Shufen, all the land at my house has been plowed, and the wooden plow and the little wild donkey are just sitting idle. If you need to use them, just give the little wild donkey a bowl of good food, and it will plow very quickly."
"Alright, then don't feed it tomorrow. I'll get it some duck eggs as a treat and let it help me plow the fields for a day."
Wang Shufen smiled and nodded; she understood the little wild donkey's temperament.
Wang Meijun, standing nearby, looked on with envy.
She hesitated for a moment, but still felt too embarrassed to speak.
"Sister-in-law Meijun, are you settling in well at the farm?"
"It's a habit, Xiao Lu. To be honest, I love keeping pets the most."
Lu Fangfang smiled and didn't say anything more.
She went to the incubator and took a look. The brooder boxes were full of baby quails. She examined them one by one and, seeing that there was nothing wrong, went to the yard.
Looking up at the birch tree, she could vaguely see Little White in the birdhouse; the chubby little chick was incubating its eggs.
"Giggle~"
"Oh...ah..."
"Um?"
Hearing the calls coming from the meadow outside the courtyard, Lu Fangfang was startled, then curiously went outside.
On the grassland, the little wild donkey wagged its tail and looked around.
The big white goose followed closely behind it, walking with its tail turned out.
As if it had made a discovery, the little wild donkey quickly turned around and nudged the big white goose, then gestured towards the grassland ahead.
"Huh?"
The big white goose also saw what was in front of it.
Its eyes lit up, and then, with its pigeon-toed gait, it charged forward like a fighting goose.
"Squeak~"
The pika, having survived the winter, stared blankly at the large white goose.
In its memory, there were no natural enemies that were entirely white.
As the large white goose drew closer, it suddenly turned and ran away.
When it reached the cave, it had barely run half its body inside when it saw a yellow goose beak sticking out.
"Squeak~"
"Giggle~"
The white goose grabbed the pika by the tail and pulled it out.
It swung it around forcefully, and soon the pika, which had survived the winter, was dead, leaving only a happy goose and a donkey.
"Oh...ah..."
The little wild donkey brayed excitedly and then ran forward.
far away.
Lu Fangfang: "..."
She was completely dumbfounded by the way the donkey and goose were working together.
Her big white goose can... can catch pikas now?
Geese are omnivorous and can catch and eat pikas and rabbits, which is really strange.
She rubbed her eyes, still somewhat incredulous.
"Oh...ah..."
"Giggle~"
Meanwhile, on the distant grassland, a donkey and a goose were at each other's throats again.
The big white goose held the pika tightly in its mouth, flapping its wings and watching the little wild donkey warily.
It wanted to eat the prey in its mouth, but the pika was too big, and it tried several times but couldn't swallow it.
"Oh...ah..."
Beside him, the little wild donkey grew anxious.
It raised its head and neighed, then looked for an opportunity to peek its donkey head in front of the big white goose.
It was practically drooling as it looked at the pika in the big white goose's beak.
Just as the two little ones were about to start fighting, Lu Fangfang finally came over.
She glanced at the big white goose, then at the greedy donkey, and finally came to her senses.
"You two are really something. You were getting along so well just a moment ago, and now you've turned on each other."
"Oh...ah..."
The little wild donkey was very aggrieved.
It walked up to Lu Fangfang, nudged her, and then gestured to the pika in the white goose's beak.
It was a big, tall man, too conspicuous, and kept failing to catch mice and rabbits, which is why it called for the big white goose.
But who knew that after the white goose caught the pika, it would turn its back on people... and not recognize the donkey anymore!
That's so disloyal!
"Look at the way you are."
Lu Fangfang petted it, unable to imagine what it looked like when it was tearing apart the jackal.
The little wild donkey now looks like a wronged donkey wife.
"Alright, big white goose, spit out the pika, and I'll divide it between you two. We can't let a pika ruin our relationship."
Ahead, a large white goose tilted its head back, still trying to swallow a pika.
Seeing Lu Fangfang pull out a gleaming knife from her waist, the big white goose tucked its tail between its legs, immediately walked forward with a pigeon-toed gait, and released the pika from its mouth.
"Giggle~"
The big white goose flapped its wings and glanced at the little wild donkey.
"Oh...ah..."
The little wild donkey was not afraid at all; it immediately opened its mouth and brayed angrily.
Both of them were stubborn, so Lu Fangfang didn't dare to delay. She took one last look at Shushu, sighed, and then brandished her dagger, cutting Shushu in half.
"Giggle~"
"Oh...ah..."
The big white goose and the little wild donkey immediately rushed forward and licked the food into their mouths.
Half a pika was still a bit too big for the white goose. It tilted its head back and struggled for a long time before finally swallowing it.
Lu Fangfang could see the pika sliding down its long neck.
