Chapter 487 Two Lively Treasures

In the blink of an eye, another week has passed.

Lu Fangfang, along with Xiuxiu, planted crops on most of the land along the riverbank.

There's still a small plot of land left. She plans to plant some vegetables when the temperature rises a bit more, so there's no rush now.

After resting for two days, and seeing that there was nothing else to do, she decided to take a stroll on the grassland and go see Big Fatty.

She hadn't traveled far since the New Year and was almost going crazy from being cooped up. Now that the temperature was high, it was a good time to go out and get some fresh air.

I can't go to see Fatty empty-handed.

There happened to be some goose eggs at home, so Lu Fangfang got up early in the morning and boiled three goose eggs, four duck eggs, and more than twenty quail eggs.

After cooking, she let it cool, packed it into her bag, and called Xiuxiu to hitch up the donkey cart and set off.

Little Flower and Little Tibetan Fox walked behind the donkey cart, following closely behind them.

"Sis, now that the weather's getting warmer, shouldn't that group of groundhogs be awake by now?"

Xiuxiu was very excited as she drove the donkey cart.

"They should be awake by now. The grass is almost green, so they should be coming out soon. Let's go take a look later."

Xiuxiu reminded her, and Lu Fangfang thought about going over to take a look.

In winter, a mother Tibetan fox risked her life to venture into a marmot's burrow and hunted a baby marmot.

Now that winter is over, I wonder how they are doing.

The donkey cart swayed and wobbled as it left the residential compound and reached the main road.

Several women carrying hoes were heading towards the fields on the riverbank.

"Xiao Lu, going on a long trip?"

Ye Cuifen, carrying a hoe, saw the donkey cart approaching, followed by Xiao Hua and the little Tibetan fox. She asked curiously.

"Let's take a stroll on the grassland."

Lu Fangfang replied with a smile.

I turned my head and glanced over. There were many women busy clearing land in the wasteland on the riverbank.

She could vaguely spot Zhu Haiming in the crowd.

After looking closely, she was quite surprised, "Sister Cuifen, is that Zhu Haiming? Is she also working on land reclamation?"

"That's right, I think this capitalist's daughter has been reformed and knows how to work now."

Ye Cuifen became interested and continued, "I think it's no good if she doesn't work. If she doesn't grow some food to supplement the family income, Li Dajun's salary alone won't be enough."

"Too."

Lu Fangfang glanced at it again, then lost interest.

After chatting with Sister Cuifen for a bit, she left in her donkey cart.

After crossing the stream, just as the donkey cart reached the grassland to the north, she heard a "caw caw" sound.

Looking back, the big white goose that was swimming in the river just moments before was now running this way with its gait swaying.

Lu Fangfang watched it intently as it chased after the donkey cart.

"Giggle~"

The big white goose looked up and then flapped its wings. One step, two steps, and with a powerful leap, it jumped directly onto the donkey cart.

Seeing Lu Fangfang staring blankly at it, it clucked twice more.

"No, what are you doing up here? Do you even know where we're going?"

Lu Fangfang was dumbfounded.

Ever since this big white goose started laying eggs, it seems to have nothing to fear. It has become more and more familiar with the little wild donkey and the little Tibetan fox, and even dares to approach Xiao Hua.

Now he's even jumped right in front of her, practically ignoring her completely.

"Giggle~"

The big white goose found a comfortable spot and sat down on the donkey cart, preening its feathers.

"Fine, I'll take you with me."

Lu Fangfang glanced at it a few more times and decided to broaden the horizons of this lively little thing.

After all, it has laid quite a few goose eggs these days, so it has done a good job.

"Meow~"

"Awoo~"

On both sides of the donkey cart, Little Flower and Little Tibetan Fox ran around happily, looking very joyful.

After walking for a while, Lu Fangfang spotted a pika peeking out from a pile of weeds in the distance.

She took out a slingshot from her pocket, pinched a pebble, pulled it back, and then let go.

Whoosh!

Snap!

"Little yellow dog, hurry up."

"Awoo~"

The little Tibetan fox immediately ran forward, picked up the dead pika, and then ran back.

"You can eat it yourself. I lent you one before, consider this a way of returning it. I'll get you another one later."

As soon as Lu Fangfang finished speaking, she saw the donkey cart tilt to one side, so she reached out and slapped the donkey's rump.

"Oh...ah..."

Seeing that the pika had been eaten by the little Tibetan fox, the little wild donkey reluctantly continued walking northeast.

As spring temperatures rise, even the pikas on the grasslands seem to have increased in number.

After the little wild donkey led the group for more than ten minutes, Lu Fangfang spotted another pika.

She gripped the slingshot and fired.

*Smack!*

"Giggle~"

Before Lu Fangfang could even call out to the little Tibetan fox, she saw the big white goose next to her leap off the donkey cart, flapping its wings and flying towards the pika.

Soon, the big white goose fell to the ground because it was too heavy.

It wriggled its tail, hurriedly ran a few more steps, then bent down, picked up the pika, and excitedly ran back to the donkey cart.

Lu Fangfang: "..."

"Sis, why does it look like a dog to me? What did I just buy?"

On the donkey cart, Xiuxiu stared blankly at it.

"Giggle~"

The white goose stood guard in front of the pika and called out to Lu Fangfang.

Seeing the donkey's head sticking out, it immediately flapped its wings and pecked at it.

The little wild donkey was startled and quickly withdrew its head.

These days it has learned how fierce the white goose is; pecking at the donkey really hurts.

Wagging its little tail, it dared not go any further and turned back to look at Lu Fangfang.

"This is for the little yellow dog, there's no for you two. Little yellow dog, you eat."

"Awoo~"

The little Tibetan fox excitedly ran forward and started eating right in front of them.

The big white goose and the little wild donkey looked at each other and immediately wilted.

The little wild donkey, with its ears drooping, slowly pulled the cart, continuing northeastward.

The big white goose had lost its initial swagger. It walked with its gait swaying, its short, chubby white tail wiggling, alongside the little wild donkey.

A donkey and a goose, one white and one reddish-brown.

Looking at the two dejected guys, Lu Fangfang couldn't help but burst out laughing.

These two are such a joke, they're hilarious!
