Chapter 528 Breeding Branch Farm, the Little Tibetan Fox Gets a Wife

The first step in building a breeding branch is to determine the site.

After choosing a day, Lu Fangfang took Sister Shufen and Sister-in-law Lanying to the city.

The 19th Army's garrison was located near the city's train station, which was in the northeast of the city, some distance from the city center.

However, this is a good place to build a breeding farm.

She especially liked the large wetland to the west of the military region.

With the cooperation of the division, the location of the breeding farm was quickly determined, on a high ground near the wetland.

She felt that the farm could try raising a batch of ducks in the future, otherwise it would be a waste of such a good environment.

After determining the location of the breeding farm, Lu Fangfang took the blueprints and directed the soldiers to begin construction.

She didn't have time to go home for the time being, so she stayed at the military region's guesthouse.

After working for half a month, the farm was completed, and she brought over a batch of quails from the troupe, and started raising them.

Just then, Xiao Aiguo's appointment order came down, and the family moved to the military compound. After a few days of work, Wang Shufen took over the new breeding farm.

Seeing that everything was normal, Lu Fangfang was relieved.

She chose a day and asked Zhuang Mingcheng to bring gifts to visit Sister Shufen's house.

Sister Shufen's new home is in a three-story tenement building.

Lu Fangfang looked around curiously.

The kitchen and toilet in the tenement building were communal, with only one on each floor, located in a room outside the corridor. It wasn't as convenient as it is in later times.

However, compared to the single-story houses in Qilian, the tenement buildings still have advantages, at least they have running water.

A few days later, seeing that there was nothing else to do, Lu Fangfang took a large bus back to the breeding farm in Qilian.

As for Zhuang Mingcheng, he will have to stay in the military region for a few more days.

We can only return to Qilian after the situation at the front has completely calmed down.

...

"Mommy, Mommy, Qingqing misses you so much."

"Mommy, Mommy, Egg wants to too."

Dandan and Qingqing hadn't seen their mother for over half a month, and they clung to Lu Fangfang, refusing to let go.

"I also miss Dandan and Qingqing."

Lu Fangfang smiled, picked up the two children, and kissed them both.

She's been in the city for most of the past two weeks, busy with the farm, so the two children have to be taken care of by Xiuxiu.

During her time in the city, all she missed were her two children.

"Mommy, Mommy, there's another little yellow dog on the meadow."

Egg suddenly thought of something.

He excitedly tugged at his mother's sleeve, wanting to go to the meadow outside.

"Another little yellow dog?"

Lu Fangfang was taken aback, filled with curiosity.

She was pulled by the two children out of the farm and onto the pasture to the south.

More than a month later, the pasture outside the farm had turned green, and many small yellow, pink and purple flowers were in full bloom, making it look vibrant.

In the distance, a young wild donkey is nibbling on small yellow flowers.

Its two long ears twitched, as if it had heard something.

Looking back, the little wild donkey saw Lu Fangfang return and excitedly ran to her, snorting.

"Oh...ah..."

The little wild donkey's reaction was even greater than that of the two children.

It whimpered and kept snuggling into Lu Fangfang's arms. For the past two weeks, it had missed Lu Fangfang terribly.

Xiuxiu is absent-minded all day long. The food she mixes doesn't taste good, and she doesn't hunt pikas for it. It's almost dying of hunger.

"Oh, it's done, it's done."

Lu Fangfang hugged the donkey's head, leaned in and gave it a big kiss. Then she took out a handful of candies from her pocket, tore them open one by one, and stuffed them into the little wild donkey's mouth.

"Little stubborn donkey, do you still remember how to eat candy? You have to wait for it to melt slowly."

"Oh...ah..."

The little wild donkey snorted, as if to indicate that it understood.

"Mommy, Mommy, I want one too."

"Mommy, Mommy, Egg wants to eat candy too."

The two children looked at the little wild donkey and immediately became unwilling.

"Alright, alright, you guys get some too."

Lu Fangfang smiled and peeled open two candies, giving one to each of the two children.

She looked out over the grassland, but couldn't spot the little Tibetan fox.

Remembering what Egg had said about having another little yellow dog, she led the little guys curiously toward the hillside.

When she got closer, she bent down and looked into the cave.

This is the same cave she and her husband dug last year; it's quite deep inside.

"A little yellow dog? A little yellow dog?"

"Oh...ah..."

The little wild donkey also approached the entrance of the cave and brayed loudly.

Before long, a commotion came from inside the cave, and a yellow head excitedly popped out of the cave.

"Awoo~"

It leaped up and jumped into Lu Fangfang's arms.

Lu Fangfang quickly hugged it.

Stroking the little Tibetan fox's head, she asked curiously, "Little yellow dog, I heard from Egg that there's another little Tibetan fox on our grassland? Is it related to you?"

"Awoo~"

"Awoo~"

The little Tibetan fox tilted its head, looked at Lu Fangfang, and kept whimpering.

After a while, it seemed to suddenly remember something.

It jumped down from Lu Fangfang's arms, slowly walked to the cave entrance, and started barking into the cave.

Under the curious gazes of Lu Fangfang, Dandan, and Qingqing, a Tibetan fox, slightly smaller than the little yellow dog, nervously poked its head out.

Seeing several people gathered around the cave entrance, it was startled and immediately retreated.

"Awoo~"

"Awoo~"

The little yellow dog barked a few more times, but the Tibetan fox inside the cave still wouldn't come out.

After a while, it listlessly looked up at Lu Fangfang.

"Ha ha."

Lu Fangfang was overjoyed and finally felt relieved.

She bent down and picked up the little Tibetan fox again. "Little yellow dog, you're pretty amazing. You actually found a wife."

"Awoo~"

The little Tibetan fox grinned, as if it were also happy.

Lu Fangfang stroked it a few times, then decided she couldn't just let it go.

Since it was her first time meeting her daughter-in-law, she had to give her a gift.

After thinking for a moment, she let Dandan and Qingqing play on the grassland first, while she rode her little stubborn donkey and sped back to the family compound.

She went inside and tore off a strip of military green cloth. She went out into the yard, picked out a plump snow chicken, and then rode her little wild donkey back to the pasture.

She drew her dagger and deftly slit the snow chicken's neck, then fanned the smell of blood into the cave.

"Little yellow dog, call your dog out quickly, there's something good to eat."

"Awoo~"

"Awoo~"

The little Tibetan fox looked at the snow chicken in Lu Fangfang's hand, then excitedly called out into the cave.

It had eaten it before and knew how delicious snow chicken was.

After a while, the head of a Tibetan fox appeared at the entrance of the cave.

No matter how much the little yellow dog barked, it wouldn't come out.
