Chapter 226 Arrest, Shooting

When Li Dazhuang saw that Grandpa Yu had spoken, he immediately nodded and then ran towards the village.

He needed to join forces with the militia and bring weapons, while Grandpa Yu followed behind Li Dazhuang, preparing to go to Wang Hao's house together to take down the hideout.

Wei Mo also wanted to go over, but Grandpa Yu could see through Wei Mo's thoughts. He was afraid that if the other party really had a weapon and hurt Wei Mo, then it would be too late for him to regret it.

So before leaving, Old Master Yu spoke directly to Wei Mo:

"Wei Mo, don't go. Go home right away and don't get involved in this."

The old man's expression was very serious. Wei Mo ran to the old man's side, grabbed the old man's hand, and started to act coquettishly.

But it was no use. Seeing that he couldn't reach an agreement, Wei Mo sighed helplessly and was then pulled back home by Li Xiuxiu.

Li Dazhuang then began to find Shan Yong and other militiamen, and soon more than a dozen militiamen were organized.

Some of these people had been involved in gambling, so when Li Dazhuang gathered them, he didn't say what they were going to do.

As more and more people gathered, more than ten people came together around Li Dazhuang. When Li Dazhuang saw the old man coming over, he quickly moved towards the old man.

Then the old man gave an order and addressed the crowd:

“We’re going to Wang Hao’s house right now to shut down his gambling den, arrest them all, and send them to the police station for trial.”

Some of the militiamen were taken aback when they heard this, but seeing the old man's serious expression, they didn't dare to ask any questions.

A group of more than ten people arrived at Wang Hao's house, and Wang Hao's house seemed to be very lively.

More than ten people heard a series of sounds coming from the yard while they were on the road. It must have been someone rolling dice to bet on whether to play big or small.

Upon hearing this, the old man's face turned cold, and he and the others surrounded Wang Hao's house.

The old man told Li Dazhuang to guard the window, while he led more than ten people into the house.

Inside the house, there were men and women, all villagers, except for three unfamiliar men.

The people were startled when they heard the door open and then saw so many armed militiamen rushing into the house.

The three strangers were about to flee when Old Master Yu shouted:

"Don't move, or I'll have them shoot."

Upon hearing what Grandpa Yu said, the militiamen beside him all raised their guns and aimed at the three strangers.

Upon hearing the old man speak, the villagers remained motionless, while the other three glanced at Wang Hao and then at the numerous acts of domestic violence before them, and hurriedly tried to jump out of the window to escape.

Just as the three were about to escape through the window, they saw a gun pointed at the window.

If they jumped out now, they would be walking right into the line of fire. The three of them panicked; if they got caught, they would be finished.

They exchanged glances, then immediately attacked Wang Hao, who was closest to them, pulling out daggers and attempting to pin him down.

Seeing the three acting suspiciously, the old man picked up a gun from a militiaman nearby, aimed it at the one who was about to make a move, and with a snap, the bullet flew away.

Then came the shout of the person being targeted, which startled the other two, who hadn't expected the other person to actually fire.

But now they were about to be arrested, and it was time to fight to the death. The old man was carrying a Type 38 rifle and had to reload it.

This gave the two men time. They quickly ran to Wang Hao's side, placed the dagger against his neck, and shouted:

"Everyone back off, or I'll kill him."

Wang Hao looked extremely flustered and said to the people behind him:

"No, no, no, Brother Li, we're in this together, please don't do this."

But when he said that, he was beaten by the man next to him, who punched him hard in the stomach.

The dagger was pressed tightly against his neck, leaving a bloody mark, and a trickle of blood began to flow down.

Knowing that they would suffer a terrible fate if caught, both of them struggled desperately, hoping to escape.

The villagers were stunned by the commotion. They hadn't expected the old man to be so decisive and actually dare to fire a gun. They all huddled together, pressed against the wall, and stood by.

Seeing this, the old man did not panic, but instead addressed the villagers in the house:

"You all get out of here first. I'll settle accounts with you later. No one is allowed to leave, or I'll skin you alive."

Upon hearing the old man's stern words, the villagers all lowered their heads and walked out of the house. Once outside, not one of them dared to flee, for they knew how formidable the old man was.

Only the three gamblers and Wang Hao remained in the room, and the four of them were tightly surrounded by the militiamen and Old Master Yu.

One of the gamblers who had been shot slowly stood up, wincing in pain. Old Master Yu had just shot him in the arm, and it was now bleeding profusely.

The three men huddled together, and Wang Hao was in their hands. Wang Hao was their only bargaining chip; only with Wang Hao in their possession could they escape.

After thinking about this, the gambler said to Old Master Yu:

"You all step back. I don't want to kill anyone. Let us go."

Old Master Yu sneered upon seeing this, then addressed the three gamblers in front of him:

"Isn't Wang Hao one of your own? You want to kill him? Then go ahead and kill him. I'll wait until you kill him, then I'll have a good reason to execute all three of you."

"You bunch of scoundrels, you deserve to be shot. If it were just gambling, you wouldn't deserve to be shot. Hurry up and kill Wang Hao, then I'll have a reason to kill you all."

The three gamblers who ran the casino were startled by the old man's words, thinking he was just bluffing.

A gambler nearby also made up his mind, knowing that this old man was not someone to be trifled with and that he clearly wanted to teach them a lesson.

He pulled out a dagger and stabbed it into Wang Hao's thigh. With a scream of "Ah!" from Wang Hao, the dagger was completely embedded in Wang Hao's leg.

The old man watched coldly from the sidelines. They wanted to use Wang Hao as a threat, but people like Wang Hao, who were involved with them, were a threat to the villagers.

The old man never intended to let Wang Hao go; they even wanted to take Wang Hao hostage.

After the gambler pulled out the dagger, a stream of blood gushed from Wang Hao's thigh. Wang Hao, clutching his wound, pleaded for mercy from the three thugs beside him.

"Brother Li, Brother Li, I was wrong, please don't hit me."

He begged the three thugs to let him go, but their eyes grew even fiercer. They had originally intended to threaten the old man, but when they saw that he remained unmoved, they realized he was unaffected.

The three people were immediately flustered, but just then the old man continued to speak:

"Don't stab his thigh, just stab him in the neck and that'll be the end of it. This guy isn't from our village either. Hurry up, I'm waiting to go home for dinner."

The old man spoke in a particularly calm tone.
