As the two gradually arrived at the foot of the mountain, Wei Mo began searching for medicinal herbs.
Even the smallest ant leg is still meat! Every little bit helps. Lately, we've only been relying on gold recycling, and we can only recycle three times a week, so we've wasted many opportunities.
Li Xiuxiu stayed close to Wei Mo, observing their surroundings from time to time.
The two of them gradually walked into the mountains. Along the way, they caught a pheasant and put it in Li Xiuxiu's basket.
There was a silly roe deer eating tree branches and leaves in front of Wei Mo. Wei Mo quietly walked up to Li Xiuxiu, tugged at her clothes, and whispered something.
"Aunt Xiuxiu, look over there, keep your voice down."
Li Xiuxiu looked in the direction Wei Mo was pointing and saw the silly roe deer eating leaves. She took the gun out of her basket and began to aim.
But before the shot could be fired, there was a loud "boom," and the roe deer, startled, quickly fled.
Not far away, a wild boar was seen running away frantically. Upon noticing this, Li Xiuxiu immediately picked up Wei Mo, raised her gun with her other hand, and prepared to retreat.
But for some reason, the wild boar went berserk and was running towards her.
Wei Mo quickly spoke up,
"Aunt Xiuxiu, be careful, climb the tree quickly."
However, the wild boar was getting faster and faster, and Li Xiuxiu couldn't care less anymore. She threw Wei Mo aside, raised her gun, and fired the bullets.
A gunshot rang out, hitting the wild boar squarely in the front leg, but the boar's movement was not significantly affected.
The wild boar let out a few "Oink! Oink!" cries, then continued charging towards the two people.
It was clearly much angrier than before.
When Wei Mo saw Li Xiuxiu fire the gun, he immediately shouted,
"Aunt Xiuxiu, hurry up and climb the tree."
But Wei Mo was still behind, and Li Xiuxiu was unwilling to climb the tree herself. So what would happen to Wei Mo?
So she could only quickly reload her bullets, preparing to continue firing at the wild boar. The wild boar was getting closer and closer to the two of them, and before Li Xiuxiu could even reload, the wild boar had already charged over.
Wei Mo quickly pulled Li Xiuxiu away, separating the wild boar from Li Xiuxiu. Wei Mo pulled Li Xiuxiu, and the two fell to the ground. Just as they got up, the wild boar charged at them again.
The gun had already fallen to the ground. Li Xiuxiu looked at the charging wild boar and pushed Wei Mo aside.
Wei Mo's eyes reddened. If he were hit by this wild boar, he would either die or be seriously injured. However, he had already fallen and was too slow to stop it. Li Xiuxiu dodged away.
However, one of her legs was still hit by the wild boar. Li Xiuxiu cried out "Ah!" and was knocked to the ground, clutching her leg tightly.
The wild boar's eyes had turned red, and it turned around and charged at Li Xiuxiu again. Wei Mo had already gotten up and didn't care about anything else.
He bought two axes directly from the trading market and threw them at the wild boar with all his might. One of the axes hit the wild boar squarely.
The wild boar also began to howl, "Ouch!" It abandoned Li Xiuxiu in front of it and ran towards Wei Mo, throwing two axes. Wei Mo could only quickly continue buying things in the store.
With two axes in hand, Wei Mo used all his strength to shovel them out, while running backward.
However, he was too slow to run and could only continue to buy axes while running. One of the two axes hit the wild boar on the head, but the wild boar's tenacious vitality still made it run towards Wei Mo.
Li Xiuxiu watched this scene in horror, only to see Wei Mo throw out two more axes.
He hurled the axe at the wild boar, which drew ever closer. Wei Mo circled the tree, continuing to hurl the axe at the boar as it sustained more and more wounds.
In the end, it fell down unwillingly, and Wei Mo threw out as many as sixty or seventy axes.
Li Xiuxiu, standing to the side, was completely taken aback. Seeing that Xiao Weimo was handling the wild boar with ease, she was stunned, but still slowly moved towards that direction.
Her leg was completely broken, making it very inconvenient for her to move. She could only use one leg to touch the ground and then hop towards Wei Mo on one leg.
Before she even reached Wei Mo, the wild boar had already collapsed. Upon seeing the boar fall, Wei Mo quickly ran towards Li Xiuxiu.
"Aunt Xiuxiu, are you alright? It's all my fault."
Li Xiuxiu's leg was bent at the knee, and blood kept gushing out from it.
Wei Mo no longer cared about the wild boars and quickly helped Li Xiuxiu to sit down on the ground.
Li Xiuxiu looked at the little kid in front of her. Maybe this was his so-called secret, but she didn't want to know.
Wei Mo looked at Li Xiuxiu's bleeding thigh and comforted her.
"Aunt Xiuxiu, don't worry, I'll go find you some branches, let's hurry down the mountain."
Li Xiuxiu nodded blankly.
Wei Mo is actually very grateful to Li Xiuxiu now. If Li Xiuxiu hadn't pushed him away, he would have been the one bumped into by the wild boar.
With my current small stature, if I were hit by a wild boar, I would surely die.
Wei Mo quickly found a thick tree branch nearby and handed it to Li Xiuxiu, while simultaneously examining the injury on Li Xiuxiu's right leg.
Blood was flowing down his thigh, but this was not the main wound; the fractured lower leg required immediate treatment.
Wei Mo had no choice but to search around the area, but he couldn't find anything useful there. Then he remembered that there was a shopping mall that he could use.
They quickly bought two wooden planks and strips of cloth from the mall. They had to fix Li Xiuxiu's legs in place first, otherwise she wouldn't be able to walk at all.
Wei Mo didn't care about being exposed at all. After all, Li Xiuxiu had saved his life, and going up the mountain was his own idea. He couldn't let Li Xiuxiu take the blame for everything.
Before descending the mountain, the wild boar was stored in Wei Mo's spatial storage and disappeared right before Li Xiuxiu's eyes. Li Xiuxiu's eyes widened in disbelief.
She was somewhat incredulous, but Wei Mo said...
"Aunt Xiuxiu, let's go down the mountain first. I'll treat your leg first."
We have quite a few Chinese herbal medicines at home, but that probably isn't enough. We still need to go to the town hospital for a checkup.
In Wei Mo's opinion, he just needs to rest for a while and take some herbal decoctions and plasters, and he should be fine. After all, Wei Mo's traditional Chinese medicine skills are top-notch.
As they approached the foot of the mountain, Li Xiuxiu's forehead was covered in pain, and sweat poured down her face despite the agony. Wei Mo helped Li Xiuxiu to the side and said...
“Aunt Xiuxiu, wait here. I’ll go find my grandpa to bring the oxcart over and take you back.”
Li Xiuxiu nodded, and then saw Wei Mo run off like a shot.
Wei Mo didn't care about anything else at the moment and ran home as fast as he could.
After running into the yard, he saw the old village chief and quickly called out,
"Grandpa, Grandpa, come quick! Aunt Xiuxiu is injured!"
