Chapter 220 Slapping the palm, doing a handstand against the wall

Wei Mo's lips twitched slightly after hearing Grandma Sun's words. He felt a little embarrassed. Grandma Sun was right; the children were so mischievous because of his parenting.

But we're all just kids, and all we do every day is play happily. Even though we're in school, we still have to play.

However, Wei Mo's words reminded the grandparents that they should not indulge their children's education.

After Grandma Sun finished speaking, she continued speaking to Wei Mo:

"We understand, don't worry, we'll be careful."

Wei Mo nodded, and then ran into the classroom, which was still noisy.

When Grandma Sun entered the classroom, the situation remained unchanged. Suddenly, Grandma Sun's kind face changed, and she picked up a book and slammed it hard on the table.

The children were startled by Grandma Sun's sudden change, and they all stopped talking and looked at Grandma Sun standing on the podium.

Grandma Sun, seeing the two still chatting, called Shan Zhenjiang and another person, Wang Baoyu, to the stage:

"Shan Zhenjiang and Wang Baoyu, you two come up here."

Seeing the stern-faced Grandma Sun, Shan Zhenjiang and Wang Baoyu were somewhat frightened, but they still lowered their heads and looked rather dejected. Standing before the podium, Wang Baoyu said in a meek voice:

"Grandma Sun, Grandma Sun, we were wrong. I won't talk next time."

Grandma Sun saw that Wang Baoyu was behaving very well, but she still didn't let him off the hook. She picked up a pointer from the side and said to the two of them:

"Stretch out your hands, everyone will get five slaps on the palm. If you talk or disobey the rules, you will get a slap on the palm."

Wang Baoyu and Shan Zhenjiang held out their palms somewhat fearfully. Grandma Sun used a little force, but didn't hit them too hard.

However, it frightened the two children so much that they cried loudly. Grandma Sun felt particularly sorry for them and, resisting the urge to comfort them, said to them:

"Alright, listen to the rules from now on. If you don't listen again, I'll spank you next time. Go home now."

With tears in their eyes, Shan Zhenjiang and Wang Baoyu returned to their seats, sitting up straight, afraid of being slapped on the hand again.

After this incident, the noise in the classroom decreased significantly. Grandma Sun nodded in satisfaction and then began her lesson.

In this day and age, what's a slap on the hand? It's common to take off your shoes and spank your bottom with the soles of your shoes, and parents don't even need to hire anyone; they're even grateful!

Being a teacher is much easier than her previous job, and Grandma Sun and the others even have two days off every week, which is quite rare.

And every Saturday and Sunday during their rest time, all the children would go to find Wei Mo.

Wei Mo had gotten used to it, and had even forgotten that he had the soul of an adult. He enjoyed playing with these children every day.

Saturday arrived again. After Wei Mo woke up, he heard a lot of chatter outside his yard. He wondered how these children could be so energetic. Shouldn't they get some rest on Saturday and Sunday?

During regular classes, some students often arrive late, looking sleepy, but on weekends, they're all like they've been injected with adrenaline.

After Wei Mo got up, Li Xiuxiu helped him get dressed, and then said to Wei Mo:

"Go have fun, everyone's waiting for you."

Wei Mo felt a little embarrassed. He was a married man, yet he spent all his time hanging out with a bunch of kids.

He nodded to Li Xiuxiu, then went to the kitchen, saw that today's breakfast was steamed buns, grabbed two buns and ran out quickly.

Meanwhile, the children were already playing in Wei Mo's yard, where Wei Xiaomin and Wei Xiaohui were leading them in somersaults.

That wasn't all. After they finished their somersaults, they leaned against the corner of Wei Mo's house and started doing handstands against the wall.

A row of children almost surrounded Wei Mo's house, competing to see who could stand upside down the longest. Wei Mo was speechless and didn't join in. Mainly, this game was too old-fashioned.

When the children saw Wei Mo, they came over and started chattering excitedly at him:

"Brother Wei Mo, you're awake! Come and play!"

"Good morning, Brother Wei Mo."

"Little brother, come on over too!"

Hearing the shouts, Wei Mo shook his head, thought for a moment, and then ran back to his room.

Back in his room, he found Grandma Yu. Grandma Yu, somewhat bewildered, looked at Wei Mo and asked, "Why isn't my eldest grandson playing outside? He's inside!"

"What's wrong, Xiao Weimo? What's the matter?"

Wei Mo smiled sweetly at Grandma Yu, and then said to her:

"Grandma, can you make me a pocket? I want to play pocket-making with my sisters."

Grandma Yu was taken aback at first, then continued to ask:

What kind of pocket is it?

After Grandma Yu finished asking, Wei Mo told his maternal grandmother what the pocket looked like. Then Grandma Yu took out a piece of cloth from the side without feeling bad about it.

Then he picked up a needle and thread and started sewing. When there was only a small opening left, Wei Mo found some rice husks on the outside and put them into the pocket.

In this way, a pocket is made, and it is relatively light, so it won't hurt much if it hits someone.

After Grandma Yu finished sewing up the last small hole, she handed the bag to Wei Mo, who happily thanked her.

"Thank you, Grandma. I'm going out to play now."

Then Wei Mo ran out of the yard, and Grandma Yu laughed as she watched her eldest grandson's happy figure.

After Wei Mo ran outside the courtyard, everyone was still standing there in a row doing handstands. Wei Mo shouted to all the children:

"Come here quickly, I have some fun things here, I'll teach you how to play."

The children's eyes lit up immediately upon hearing this, including Wei Xiaomin and Wei Xiaohui.

You should know that Wei Mo has a lot of toys and often comes up with many good ideas.

So everyone stopped doing handstands and ran to Wei Mo's side. Wei Xiaomin, who was standing nearby, asked Wei Mo directly:

"Little brother, what did you prepare? Is it that cloth you're holding? How do you play with it? Tell me quickly!"

Wei Mo looked at his anxious second sister and chuckled. Then, after all the children had gathered, there were about ten of them, and that was still a small number.

I expect more people will come later, since many families haven't finished eating breakfast yet. Now, children of similar age from all over the village will come to play.

Because of the school, Wei Mo has become more familiar with these children. He picked up the bag and explained to them:

"Two people will be responsible for dropping the bag, and the others will stand in the middle. If they catch the bag, they will gain an extra life, while the person who gets hit will lose a life."

"Everyone only has one life. Once you're knocked down, you're out. Let's see who can last until the end, and also see if the person who lost the pocket can knock everyone off the stage."
