The neighbors exchanged glances, all knowing what was going on. Old Mrs. Shen was always trying to take advantage of others, and bullying Lin Wanqiu was a common occurrence. Today, it was probably another instance of Old Mrs. Shen trying to snatch something from Lin Wanqiu, only to be rebuffed by Lin Wanqiu.

“Yes, Wanqiu, if anyone bullies you again, just tell us and we’ll help you get justice,” another older woman chimed in.

Lin Wanqiu smiled, walked over, picked up her son, and kissed him on the forehead: "Of course, Mom will protect Niannian. From now on, no matter who bullies us, Mom will chase them away."
