Chapter 134 Meat Pie



Jiang Ci smiled shyly, put on the hood of her raincoat, and left the cowshed.

The rain that had been falling for almost a whole day finally subsided, and it started to drizzle.

When Jiang Ci came out of the cowshed, she saw a person waiting not far away with a bicycle.

Jiang Ci could tell at a glance that the bicycle belonged to her family.

Was that person Zhou Mingli?

Jiang Ci's heart stirred, and he quickened his pace to approach.

She quietly walked around behind the man and patted him on the shoulder.

He quickly turned his head, and upon seeing his cold and stern face, Jiang Ci knew she hadn't guessed wrong. She asked in surprise, "Why did you come at this time?"

Zhou Mingli said, "Seeing that it was getting late, I guessed you should get dinner for Mr. Cheng."

Jiang Ci nodded. "That's right. After I bring him dinner, I can go home."

Zhou Mingli grunted in agreement, turned the bicycle around, positioned it properly, and then let Jiang Ci sit on the back seat.

Jiang Ci sat down. "Let's go."

Zhou Mingli didn't leave immediately; instead, he rummaged around under his raincoat for a long time.

He took out something wrapped in oil paper and handed it to Jiang Ci, saying, "It's been made for a while, so it might be a little cold. You haven't eaten much all day, so have a pancake to tide you over."

Jiang Ci took it; the oil paper package was still warm to the touch. She opened it and took a look.

The flatbread, made of white flour, is filled with chopped meat, making it bulge out of shape. The aroma of meat and green peppers blend together, and the fragrance quickly fills Jiang Ci's nostrils when the flatbread is opened.

Smells so good.

Jiang Ci hadn't felt anything at first, but now her stomach was rumbling.

She swallowed hard and asked, "Did you do this after you got home?"
