Chapter 206 Do you find me attractive?

The teachers were used to it.

It's not a big problem; all kids this age experience this on their first day of school.

Kindergarten teachers who are very used to taking care of young children have their own methods for coaxing children. Before long, Zhou Yang and Zhou Miao were taken to play games with the other children.

Zhou Yang and Zhou Miao, who were still crying, stopped crying when they saw the children playing together.

With tears still glistening in her eyes, Zhou Yang asked Zhou Miao in a sobbing voice, "Miao Miao, do you think Mommy and Daddy will come to pick us up?"

Zhou Miao's big eyes were also red. She sniffed and said, "Yes, Mom said that we are like Aunt Yu's house in kindergarten. When it's time, Mom and Dad will come to pick us up."

Zhou Yang wiped away her tears, her eyes glued to the children playing games. "Then...then let's go play too."

Being twins, and with close friends by her side, Zhou Miao quickly mustered the courage to nod.

The two little ones, hand in hand, ran off to play.

At first, they didn't dare to talk to other unfamiliar children directly, so they huddled together and played together.

Later, when other children came to play with them, they gradually integrated into the group.

Standing outside the kindergarten, Zhou Mingli and Jiang Ci watched as the two children went from being bewildered to anxiously looking for them, then bursting into tears before calmly playing again. They couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

When Zhou Yang and Zhou Miao were in Shanding Brigade, the two children didn't have to go to school. There were plenty of places to play everywhere, and Dazhu and Erzhu would take them around. They got used to running wild and didn't cling to adults much.

Leaving a familiar place and coming to this unfamiliar environment, even the most outgoing three- or four-year-old child will still cling to adults. Jiang Ci and Zhou Mingli were worried that they would not adapt well to the unfamiliar environment and would keep crying.

Fortunately, Zhou Yang and Zhou Miao are not particularly introverted children, and they can play with the new children.

Jiang Ci and Zhou Mingli exchanged a glance and left the kindergarten with peace of mind.

Sending the children to school meant Jiang Ci and Zhou Mingli no longer had to think about them, and for a while, they were quite unaccustomed to it.

Sitting at home, Jiang Ci couldn't help but sigh, "It's so quiet, I'm actually a little unaccustomed to it."

Zhou Mingli felt the same way. "Yangyang and Miaomiao spend a lot of time at home and have always been with us. You and I are used to it."

Jiang Ci pinched the bridge of her nose. "It must be because we're not busy enough!"

Jiang Ci can't sit still when she thinks about where she lives now.

She stood up and went to the bedroom. "I'll finish translating the paper Cheng Yehan gave me and send it to him tomorrow."

Zhou Mingli followed behind her, watching her find a pencil and paper, and sit down at the long table by the window to get to work. He leaned over and asked, "Aren't you sleepy?"

Jiang Ci's lips twitched. She glanced at him and said quite calmly, "Why would I be sleepy? I'm not sleepy at all."

Zhou Mingli raised his eyebrows slightly, remained silent, and stared at her waist with a meaningful expression.

"If you're tired, why don't you go take a nap?" Jiang Ci said slowly, focusing her attention on the paper on the table, but her words were sharp. "I've heard that men's energy declines after they turn thirty."

Zhou Mingli was both annoyed and amused. "Even before I transmigrated into the book, I was only twenty-eight years old."

Jiangci, "only two years."

Zhou Mingli pulled her attention away from her thesis, picked her up and lifted her high in the air. Jiang Ci gasped and sat on the desk.

Zhou Mingli was prepared to demonstrate his current energy level to her through his own actions.

There was a sudden knock on the door.

The two people, who were in a chaotic mess, stopped moving at the same time and turned to look at the doorway.

Zhou Mingli tugged at Jiang Ci's slightly disheveled clothes and went to open the door himself.

The person who arrived was a woman I had never seen before.

Wearing faded clothes, she looked to be in her early thirties.

The woman's eyes lit up when she saw Zhou Mingli.

Zhou Mingli is tall, with a cold and stern look, and his features are also very handsome.

She smiled gently at Zhou Mingli and introduced herself, "Hello comrade, my surname is Bai, you can call me Bai Hua."

A faint smile played on Bai Hua's lips as she glanced inside and saw Jiang Ci. Her smile remained unchanged. "You just moved in, right? My mother-in-law received the gifts you sent yesterday. We're poor and don't have much to repay you with, so we came here in person to express our gratitude."

Several elderly women came with Aunt Yan yesterday morning, but Zhou Mingli had no idea which one she was referring to.

He nodded and said, "You're welcome."

Baihua: Why don't you invite me in for a seat?

Zhou Mingli stood at the door, showing no intention of inviting Bai Hua in to sit down.

Bai Hua's smile was a little stiff, but she quickly changed the subject, "By the way, you don't know who lives across the hall from you, do you?"

Bai Hua spoke slowly and deliberately, with a touch of southern softness, as if singing, "How about I introduce myself to you?"

Jiang Ci raised her eyebrows, found a chair and sat down. She didn't go out, but listened to Bai Hua talking outside the door.

Let's see how Zhou Mingli responds.

Zhou Mingli was stubborn and wouldn't listen to either soft or hard approaches. Hearing Bai Hua's words, he was still quite polite, "Thank you for your kindness. We've known each other since we've been neighbors for a long time. Is there anything else? We're a bit busy at home."

This means I don't need your introduction. I can see for myself what the neighbors are like. You should go do what you need to do and stop standing around in my house!

This is an order to expel you.

Bai Hua, however, seemed to have misinterpreted Zhou Mingli's order to leave as something else entirely.
