Jiang Ci rode her bicycle, fully equipped and braving the cold wind, to the front of the family building, where she saw three children running around happily.

Two of them were her children, and the other one looked somewhat familiar, but because his back was to her, Jiang Ci couldn't tell who he was.
It seems... she saw this figure from behind this morning on her way to work.
Jiang Ci looked around but didn't see the father of the two children.
She took a breath and called out, "Zhou Yang! Zhou Miao!"
The two kids are truly twins; they turned their heads together.
Upon seeing Jiang Ci, she exclaimed, "Mommy!"
They all ran towards Jiang Ci.
The child was dressed in thick clothes, and when he ran, he looked like a penguin, waddling around.
The people playing with them also turned their heads.
His face was bruised and swollen.
Jiang Ci hissed, "Huang Zheyue?"
Huang Zheyue slowly walked up to Jiang Ci.
"Are you playing with my son and daughter?"
Huang Zheyue scratched his face, his nose was a little red from the cold, and nodded shyly.
Zhou Yang looked up and shouted, "Dad said that Brother Zheyue can stay at home for dinner!"
Jiangci: Okay.
She had no objection, nodded, and said, "How long have you been playing? Shouldn't we go home?"
Huang Zheyue immediately said, "We've played for a long time, we can go back now."

Jiang Ci removed her gloves, hat, scarf, outer cotton-padded coat, and thick cotton-padded shoes.
"Go to the restroom and wash your faces and hands," Jiang Ci said to the three children.
Huang Zheyue had visited the Zhou family several times. Outside, he was a troublemaker, but at the Zhou family, he was as docile as a lamb. As soon as Jiang Ci spoke, he silently took the two children and went there.
Zhou Mingli bent down to pick up the things at her feet, then stood up and kissed her on the lips, pulling away immediately.
How was your first day at work?
"It's alright." Jiang Ci stood on tiptoe, tilted her head back, stared at his lips, and lazily pouted.
Zhou Mingli smiled, and with his other free hand he cupped the back of her head and kissed her deeply.
A short but deep kiss.
Jiang Ci's mood improved somewhat.
"This bag contains work uniforms issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one thick and one thin, as well as two pairs of shoes," Jiang Ci said, slowly pulling a wad of bills from her pocket.
“The administrative staff are allotted four ounces of tea, cigarettes and alcohol each month. I go to collect them and they give them to me.”
Jiang Ci generously patted the ticket on Zhou Mingli's chest, "Aren't you going to become an apprentice this weekend? Here you go."
Such a grand gesture made Zhou Mingli unable to suppress a smile.
No matter how you look at Jiang Ci, I think she's so cute.
She's so cute, I want to devour her whole.
If the children weren't there, Zhou Mingli would have loved to pin her against the wall and give her a good kiss.

Zhou Mingli said, "I also brought back some rice."
Jiang Ci wanted to eat it, so Zhou Mingli was naturally willing to make it for her. "If you don't have ham, how about putting some cured meat in?"
They hadn't finished eating the cured meat they had made.
Jiang Ci immediately nodded.
So Zhou Mingli added fried rice with egg on the spot.
With Huang Zheyue here today, Zhou Mingli has done quite a lot.
For the first time ever, the Zhou family ate white rice, and Zhou Yang and Zhou Miao's eyes lit up as they ate.
Huang Zheyue was initially a little hesitant.
Zhou Mingli also served him a bowl of fried rice with eggs. After taking a bite, he stopped being shy and ate the rice with gusto.
At the dinner table, Zhou Mingli briefly explained what Huang Zheyue had encountered that day, and how he wanted to ask Jiang Ci to help him find a tenant.
Jiang Ci also asked the same question Zhou Mingli had asked earlier, "If you rent out the house, where will you live?"
“I can sleep anywhere. I’m just a kid, why would I be afraid of being kidnapped?” Huang Zheyue said confidently.
He ate his meal with gusto, his eyes fixed on the food. He ate faster than Zhou Yang and Zhou Miao, clearly indicating that he hadn't had many proper meals in a long time.
Huang Zheyue is more worried about food and drink than about housing right now.
She sighed, "I know a few other families, but I don't know if they've found a place yet. Two rooms to rent out for ten yuan a month, that's considered high, don't you think?"
Huang Zheyue nodded with bright eyes, "Okay! But we have to find someone who's feisty and willing to fight, otherwise if Engineer Huang and his team come to make trouble, I'm afraid someone too weak will be bullied away."
This kid thinks a lot.
Jiang Ci nodded, indicating that she understood.
After the meal, Huang Zheyue touched her pocket and took out a lot of loose change.
"Here is twenty yuan, which is for you to send me to the hospital for treatment."
