Jiang Ci remained calm and composed, putting her hands in her pockets. After thinking about it carefully, Zheng Xiao actually felt that Jiang Ci's words made a lot of sense!

Jiang Ci turned her head and glanced at Zheng Xiao, then pursed her lips. "For a leader's son to be so successful, his family must spoil him rotten."
Without stopping, she boarded a bus and went directly to Peking University.
The campus was covered in white snow. Jiang Ci asked the gatekeeper for directions to the library and made her way to Weiming Lake after a series of twists and turns.
All the lush trees were covered in snow, and the lake was frozen solid, with many students skiing on the ice.
All around was a blanket of white snow, and the Boya Pagoda stood tall in the distance, forming a scenic view in itself.
The scenery is indeed very beautiful.
But the wind on the lake was very cold.
She sniffed and quickened her pace.
Jiang Ci didn't linger when passing by Linhu Pavilion; she just glanced at it casually.
But in that one glance, she froze.
Who's over there?
Who is that?!
Jiang Ci looked around, then immediately pulled the scarf around her neck up to cover her face and mouth, before running off behind a rockery.
Immediately afterwards, she stuck her head out, her bright eyes looking intently at the Linhu Pavilion not far away.
How did Shan Lian end up with Guo Zhen?!
Her eyes widened, and her mind was filled with a jumble of thoughts.
As far as she knew, children of Shan Lian's age generally preferred men who were older than themselves, who were mature, sexy, emotionally stable, and provided a sense of security similar to that of a father.
Could it be that Shan Lian has fallen in love with Guo Zhen at first sight and developed feelings for him that she shouldn't have?
Jiang Ci frowned; this would be bad.

"If we can just get through these two years and Dad's position is stable, I'll bring you home, okay?"
Shan Lian turned her head away. "Stop making these impossible promises! You've been saying since I was five that you'd take me back once you settled down, and now I'm sixteen! You've never kept your promise all these years!"
"I also... have my reasons," Guo Zhen said solemnly.
"That's your excuse!" Shan Lian said fiercely. "Since you never intended to take me back before, don't even think about it anymore! I won't trust you, I don't want to go back with you, and I certainly don't want to change my surname to Guo!"
"Xiao Lian!" Guo Zhen said painfully, "Do you really want to distance yourself from your father now?"
Dan Lian shed tears, "You were the one who abandoned me first."
