Chapter 398 Counterattack

After waiting for Jiang Ci for a long time without her arriving, Commander Xu, hearing the commotion outside, finally couldn't resist and came out.

He stared at Jiang Ci with a gloomy expression, his anger barely contained.

Jiang Ci was still pretending to cry, "Commander Xu, what are you saying? You said you were coming to find me. I twisted my ankle, can't I even see a doctor?"

Commander Xu sneered, "No wonder Mr. Shan was fooled by you, Jiang Ci, you're quite the actress!"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ci's heart skipped a beat.

They were both adrift at sea, unable to receive any news from Beijing or the mainland. For the past two weeks, Commander Xu had been quite trusting and lenient with her, never showing any sign that he knew Jiang Ci was an undercover agent.

How did he know?

His thoughts raced as Commander Xu walked step by step toward Jiang Ci. His voice was dark and filled with anger, "I treated you as my future comrade and successor, and I carefully taught you. Is this how you repay me?"

Jiang Ci removed her hand from her ankle and said in a low voice, "I don't understand what Commander Xu is saying."

Commander Xu said, "You don't need to understand anymore; you're going to die today anyway."

He pointed to the boundless ocean, "If you were thrown in here, your body would be eaten up by the sharks in the sea within a day, leaving not even a bone fragment."

The woman standing nearby listened without saying a word, also looking at Jiang Ci with a gloomy gaze.

He grabbed Jiang Ci's shoulders and held her down tightly.

Commander Xu rushed over suddenly, holding a rope in his hand, intending to tie Jiang Ci up directly.

Just as the man grabbed Jiang Ci's arm, Commander Xu was about to pull him up from the ground and tie him up with a rope. Under the moonlight, a silvery reflection suddenly flashed before Commander Xu's eyes.

With a puff.

A sharp pain shot through my chest and abdomen.

Commander Xu groaned in pain.

He looked down at Jiang Ci in disbelief.

Blood splattered on her face, appearing a pale, eerie blue in the deep darkness of the night.

Jiang Ci pulled out the dagger and then plunged it into the arm that was gripping her arm.

"ah!!"

Commander Xu couldn't help but scream in agony, and his grip loosened.

The two cuts were made so fast that Jiang Ci didn't hesitate or waver for a second. The speed was so fast that it sent chills down the woman's spine, and an indescribable coldness spread from the soles of her feet to the top of her head.

Jiang Ci's hands and face were splattered with Commander Xu's blood. She turned to look at the female comrade and smiled slightly, "Are you afraid of pain?"

Are you afraid of pain?

Are you afraid of pain?

Are you afraid of pain?

The woman's mind was buzzing, her pupils were trembling violently, as if something was choking her, preventing her from making a sound.

Her eyes moved and landed on Jiang Ci's face.

There were no tear stains, no signs of crying.

Jiang Ci was as calm as an emotionless machine, looking at her as if calculating where to stab her.

The woman was terrified by her own imagined idea and screamed, "Aaaaaah!!!"

She released Jiang Ci in a flash and retreated as if fleeing.

Commander Xu and the female comrade's cries finally attracted the attention of the sleeping crew members.

The sailors, the first mate, and everyone in the mission all came out wearing their coats and carrying flashlights to see what had happened.

The sound of the woman's hurried footsteps attracted everyone's attention, and they soon bumped into her as she fled in a panic.

Seeing the woman's panicked appearance, the first mate raised his hand to stop her, "Miss, what's wrong?"

The flashlight shone on her pale face, where there seemed to be a trace of blood.

Everyone was shocked.

"Murder... Jiang Ci murdered someone!"

The woman murmured, her voice filled with fear and panic.

"What?"

"How is this possible!"

"It's true! Jiang Ci is not a good person! She wanted to kill someone! She stabbed Commander Xu!!"

Everyone was shocked and quickly headed towards the direction the woman had come from.

The ship rocked on the sea. The group went to the corridor in the stern cabin. The flashlight beam shone on a certain spot and then suddenly stopped.

Jiang Ci was leaning against the railing, holding a piece of clothing she had cut from Commander Xu's body, wiping the blood off the dagger. Her face and clothes were stained with red blood.

On the ground lay Commander Xu's body, writhing and groaning, his arms and abdomen oozing deep red blood.

He is injured!

Everyone watched this scene unfold, recalling the woman's terrified scream, "Jiang Ci stabbed Commander Xu!"

It's actually true!

"You've arrived?" Jiang Ci wiped the dagger clean and looked at everyone calmly. "Tie him up and take him away."

The voice carried an unquestionable command.

The first mate and the others frowned. "Jiang Ci, you stabbed Commander Xu!?"

Jiang Ci looked down at Commander Xu, who was groaning, and said, "Isn't this obvious to the naked eye?"

The first mate said warily and coldly, "Don't interrupt! I'm asking you why you stabbed him!"

Jiang Ci lifted her eyelids slightly. "Of course I can explain, but you have to tie him up now, take him away, and find a doctor to bandage his wounds. A person can be crippled, but not killed."

"Jiang Ci! I think the person who should be tied up is you!"

An angry man from the Ministry of Foreign Trade said, "Commander Xu was so good to you! Why did you kill him! If our comrades hadn't seen through your scheme, would you have thrown our commander into the sea instead!"

"Yes! First mate! We should tie Jiang Ci up now!"

"Don't say any more! Quickly get Commander Xu to the doctor to stop the bleeding!"
