Chapter 450 Do you miss me?

In the afternoon, Sister-in-law Yu and Xu San didn't go anywhere; they helped unload all the things from the truck.

"This has almost filled all three rooms in the east wing." Looking at all the goods, Sister-in-law Yu swallowed hard, her eyes saying: This is all money!

Zhou Mingli brought in more clothing this time, and relatively fewer radios.

Zhou Mingli said, "These are all common, unavailable products, so they sell well."

"Let's not work today. Take a day off tomorrow and then we can get back to work."

"Okay!"

In the evening, Zhou Mingli took Master Yun for a walk around the neighborhood, had dinner with him, and when he wanted to introduce him to the people who lived nearby, Master Yun waved his hand, saying, "I won't be staying here for long anyway, there's no need to get to know them."

Zhou Mingli laughed, "What are you talking about? Do you really want to work on the production line for the rest of your life?"

Master Yun glanced at him.

“Even if you want to, the Labor Bureau won’t allow it. I guarantee you that you can live here after you retire.”

Master Yun didn't say anything, but he didn't stop Zhou Mingli from introducing him to neighbors.

Zhou Mingli didn't get home until evening.

Huang Zheyue got back earlier than him. When Jiang Ci got off work, Huang Zheyue told him that Zhou Mingli was settling the master craftsman in, so Jiang Ci didn't wait for him to have dinner with the children.

While we're at it, let's take a look at the good stuff that kid Huang Zheyue brought back.

When Zhou Mingli returned, he heard Jiang Ci saying, "Can't you guys collect some pop songs? It's all rock."

“Our students love listening to this!” Huang Zheyue said matter-of-factly. “Aunt Jiang, this is what I plan to sell to the students. If you like it, ask Uncle Zhou to bring back a few discs next time.”

Jiang Ci laughed in exasperation, "You brat."

The radio was playing a cassette tape, and the heavy rock music was incredibly loud.

Zhou Yang and Zhou Miao listened to it happily and didn't find the song unpleasant at all.

"I'm back."

Upon hearing his voice, Jiang Ci turned her head and smiled.

She wore a comfortable cotton nightgown with a square neckline and ruffled lace on the shoulders, revealing her fair arms.

Zhou Mingli subconsciously took larger steps and walked to her side.

Zhou Yang and Zhou Miao chattered around him.

Zhou Mingli had no choice but to deal with the two little ones first, so he took a bag of candy out of his bag and gave it to them to share.

Zhou Yang and Zhou Miao had long since stopped liking sweets. They pouted and said, "Dad is getting more and more perfunctory with us!"

“That’s right!”

Zhou Mingli pressed their heads down expressionlessly, "Go back to sleep."

“And you.” He pointed at Huang Zheyue again.

"oh."

Huang Zheyue scratched his head and left.

The heavy music was still playing on the radio. Jiang Ci watched with a smile as he directed the children away and turned the volume down a bit.

"There's still hot water in the thermos. Go take a shower and change your clothes first." Just a second before Zhou Mingli raised his arm to hug her, Jiang Ci raised her hand and pressed it against his chest.

All right.

Zhou Mingli hadn't showered for two days, so he had to take a hot water bottle to shower first.

After closing the door and drawing the curtains, Zhou Mingli took off his short-sleeved shirt while crossing his arms and said to Jiang Ci, "Don't sleep, I have something to tell you."

Zhou Mingli never felt much shame in front of Jiang Ci. His strong arms and neatly arranged six-pack abs, which hardened when he exerted force, were clearly visible in front of Jiang Ci.

Jiang Ci didn't run away, but sat to the side and watched, saying, "Zhe Yue said that the guy surnamed Qi is causing trouble again?"

Zhou Mingli nodded. "I scared them away."

Jiang Ci fanned herself with a palm-leaf fan, her gaze lingering on his chest where his hand deliberately rested, and said, "The Qi family came back from out of town and has always rented a place to live. He had originally agreed with the group of people who stole and sold radios that if they ruined our business, they would give him money to buy a small house."

“I reported the guy who stole the radio and sold it, so he lost his house. But his son is getting married this year, and the bride’s family is demanding that he have his own house. That’s why they’re in a hurry,” Jiang Ci said calmly. “They’re trying to cause trouble again.”

After saying that, Jiang Ci paused, then said irritably, "Zhou Mingli, can you please stop being so flirtatious?"

She even struck a pose.

"Judging from your calm demeanor, it seems you've thoroughly investigated the background of that Qi guy." Zhou Mingli said with a smile, grabbing a towel from the side to dry himself off. Without putting on any clothes, he walked over to Jiang Ci in a few steps and picked her up with one hand.

"You're still watching this lewd stuff?"

"It's been over a month, have you missed me?" Zhou Mingli slipped his hand inside her nightgown and touched her.

Jiang Ci remained silent, her face still flushed, and said, "Didn't you feel it when I thought about you?"

Zhou Mingli's smile deepened, and he looked up to kiss her chin.

He kissed her lips.

The empty, quiet room was filled with the sound of splashing water. Jiang Ci's body felt weak, and she could only raise her hands to hug his neck to prevent herself from sliding down.

Zhou Mingli deliberately didn't hold her tightly, so that when she couldn't hold on any longer, his legs would tighten around her waist.

Zhou Mingli laughed, took her clenched fist in his large hand, lifted it up, and kissed the inside of her wrist.

Her blood flowed through bluish-purple veins, a thin and vulnerable spot.

He tilted his head, looking intently and seriously at the inside of her wrist. Her slightly long hair swayed gently, glistening with water droplets that seemed about to fall.

Jiang Ci brushed his hair aside, and he smiled again, pried open her fist, and intertwined his fingers with hers.

He kissed her repeatedly, signaling her to hug his neck tightly.

"Baby." Zhou Mingli pressed his ear against her neck, inhaling the increasingly rich fragrance emanating from her.

"Miss you."

I miss you so much.

A night of absurdity.

After cleaning up the mess, Zhou Mingli lay down on the bed with the lazy Jiang Ci in his arms. Jiang Ci complained of the heat and kicked him, saying, "Stay away from me."

Zhou Mingli didn't let go, even when it was hot. "You throw me away after you're done, how heartless of you, wife."

"It's mid-July now, it's so hot." Jiang Ci doesn't like this sweaty feeling at all; it's sticky and uncomfortable all over.

Zhou Mingli brought over a palm-leaf fan and fanned her while saying, "Get the air conditioner working sooner or later... I'll buy a fan tomorrow."

Jiang Ci stretched out her body, not even wanting to cover herself with the thin blanket, and said with her eyes closed, "That guy surnamed Qi beats his wife. His wife was almost beaten to death, but he kept it a secret. Find an opportunity to ruin his son's marriage. If you can, make those two divorce."

Zhou Mingli hummed in agreement. "Leave it to me."

He thought of something, got up, went to the outer room in the dark, and quickly returned.

Jiang Ci was drowsy when she felt him take her hand and put something cool on her wrist.

She looked around, but it was too dark to see anything.

"What is that?"

"Aren't you sleepy? You can look at it again tomorrow morning." Zhou Mingli brought out the palm-leaf fan again and fanned the two of them.

Jiang Ci climbed to the window and pulled back the curtains.

The moonlight shone on her arm, and Jiang Ci could see clearly what was on her wrist.

It was a bright green jade bracelet.
