Chapter 438: Get Along
Bai Manjun listened carefully, used it seriously, chatted happily, and liked Ning Xiyue more and more. She has successfully occupied the first position in the family.
Neither sons nor husbands are attractive anymore. What matters more is the future daughter-in-law who is sweet, smart, beautiful, and considerate like a little girl.
Once they started talking, they couldn't stop, and the more they talked, the more they got along.
Ning Xiyue just felt that it was very comfortable to chat with Mother Ji and they got along well.
Bai Manjun also likes talking to Ning Xiyue. She knows a lot, speaks nicely and is playful.
The two of them don't think of themselves as future mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, but rather like good friends, friends regardless of age.
So this mouth never stopped.
Ji Yanming and his two brothers-in-law had already moved all the stuff and bicycles back home, but the mother and daughter had not yet finished their conversation.
Father Ji has also been out and about for many times. Every time he comes out, he sees his wife and future daughter-in-law chatting happily with their faces wide open. He is so envious, but he doesn’t know what interesting things could make them talk for so long. Humph!
She turned around and went back to get an empty wine bottle, filled the jar with some wine and placed it on the dining table. She went to the kitchen to fry peanuts and also helped her son make dinner.
Soon, Ji Yanming had already cooked dinner. Seeing the dark weather outside, he couldn't help but walk over and called softly:
"Mom, it's getting late. Let's have dinner first. It's too cold today. After dinner, I'll send Yueyue home to rest. We've been busy all day. We can talk later. There's plenty of time. Don't waste time."
"It's time to eat now. Look, auntie, I wanted to make delicious dishes for you, but we were having such a good chat that I couldn't stop." Bai Manjun said in annoyance.
Ning Xiyue shook her head indifferently: "It's okay, Auntie, I will come to bother you often in the future. When you study in Beijing, as long as you don't find me annoying, I will come to see you when I have time."
"Mom, don't worry. I've cooked all the dishes you prepared. They're all on the table. Now just wash your hands and eat."
Ji Yanming walked over, pulled both of them up from the sofa and took them to the kitchen.
There were already six dishes and one soup on the table, including braised carp, sweet and sour pork ribs, stir-fried shredded pork, fried bacon with mushrooms, shredded potatoes, stir-fried cabbage, and pork ribs and radish soup.
The portion was big, and it was plenty for the four of them.
Moreover, these four meat dishes, two vegetarian dishes and even the soup are all Ning Xiyue's favorite dishes. They were cooked by Comrade Ji and are very much to her taste.
Although the dishes were cooked by Comrade Ji, they were all prepared by Ji's mother in the morning, which was enough to show how much the Ji family cared about her. Starting from the return gifts, you can see that it was full of details.
It can be seen from many places that even before Mother Ji knew that the skin care products she liked to use were made by her, Mother Ji already liked and valued her.
This made Ning Xiyue feel comfortable and happy. She accepted this family from the bottom of her heart and liked the two elders.
After the food was served, Ning Xiyue and Ji Yanming drank half a glass of wine with Ji's father, which made Ji's father very happy.
Drinking the sorghum wine brewed by Ning Xiyue herself made him happier and more fond of it than drinking the specially supplied Maotai.
"Yueyue, your winemaking skills are really good. The wine is sweet and fragrant, and tastes better than the wine in the winery."
"Uncle, if you like to drink, I will bring you other kinds of wine next time. I can also make glutinous rice wine, medicinal wine, and fruit wine. I will make a jar of each for you so that you can taste them all."
"Okay, okay, I'm very happy that you have this thought. Don't bother. Come, let's eat. This kid's cooking skills are getting better and better."
Ji Wenxue finally realized the joy of having a daughter, which is better than having a bad boy. The two bad boys at home are more distant than the other and not considerate at all. No wonder his wife is so happy.
Ning Xiyue replied with a smile. Since she had said it, she would definitely do it. She would send the wine over when she returned, so that the elders would like her more.
"Come, Yueyue, eat this sparerib." Bai Manjun took another pair of clean chopsticks and helped Ning Xiyue pick up a piece of spareribs and put it in her bowl.
"Thank you, Auntie. You can eat too."
Ning Xiyue had just finished the ribs in her bowl. Ji Yanming was afraid that she couldn't reach the dishes far away, so he helped her pick up the bacon and shredded pork far away with a chopstick.
Ning Xiyue turned around and smiled slightly, then happily buried her head in eating the food in the bowl.
She ate very well at this meal. Both Ji's mother and Ji Yanming fed her, and her belly was full.
She didn't stay long after the meal. She sat and chatted for a while before getting up to say goodbye. Ji Yanming took her back.
Ji's parents stood at the door and watched the figure disappear into the distance.
Ji Wenxue looked at his wife, who was in a very good mood and smiled, and said:
"It can be seen that you are very satisfied with the future daughter-in-law of the second brother. You even like her very much. You even took out her favorite dowry."
"Who wouldn't like such a good daughter-in-law? She's sensible, good at talking, sweet-mouthed, and smart. Most importantly, the second son likes her."
Bai Manjun scorned the old man and said, "Don't think I didn't see that you still like that girl very much. Tell me, where did you hide that wine? Hand it over. You can only drink a little every day. Don't even think about drinking more."
As he said that, he ran to his study.
"That's the wine my future daughter-in-law gave me. Please leave some more for me!" Ji Wenxue chased after him anxiously.
