In 1987, the National College Entrance Examination began on July 7 and ended on July 9.
The arts and science exams have different subjects. In addition to the three main subjects of Chinese, mathematics and English, arts students have to take exams in politics, history and geography, while science students have to take exams in physics, chemistry and biology.
