Xie Wan and Wang Xiang boarded a flight from London to New York two days later.
Xie Wan was not used to wearing a kimono.
But in order to avoid being scrutinized after getting off the plane, she had no choice but to endure it.
Wang Xiang was wearing a suit and a pair of round black-rimmed glasses. He looked a bit like a young businessman from Japan.
Xie Wan’s English is pretty good, but his Japanese is limited to one sentence: “バカヤロー (Bakayaro)”.
Along the way, Wang Xiang was teaching her common expressions. Fortunately, Xie Wan now had an excellent memory, so basically she would remember it after Wang Xiang said it once.

In just two days, Xie Wan was able to have simple conversations with Wang Xiang.

Xie Wan understood. She knew how Japanese women walked, so she put her hands on her abdomen, bent her waist, lowered her head and followed behind Wang Xiang.
During the customs inspection, there were clearly FBI personnel at the entry port.
Whenever a person with an Asian face appears, the FBI will approach and question them carefully.
Wang Xiang was a little nervous and handed over their passports.
The FBI agent looked at Xie Wan, pointed at her and asked:
"Please...repeat your original home address."
Wang Xiang translated the agent's words into Japanese and repeated them.

The agent spoke English, which Xie Wan could understand.
But Wang Xiang never taught Xie Wan how to say the answer in Japanese.
Xie Wan’s current character is an uneducated Japanese woman, so of course she cannot answer in English.
Wang Xiang wanted to answer for Xie Wan, but was stopped by the FBI agent. He pointed to a translator who could speak Japanese and said:
"Translate my questions for her and ask her to answer in Japanese."
The translator said it again.
