Chapter 106 Journey 2

Lin Shu sighed inwardly and prayed that the green pepper would not be spicy, because she really couldn't eat spicy food.

At this time, Han Yan took out a military water bottle, poured a glass of water from it, and placed it on the small table next to Lin Shu: "If it's spicy, rinse it with water and don't eat the chili."

As he spoke, he peeled two boiled eggs and placed them on the lid of the lunch box: "Eat them all."

Lin Shu felt warm in his heart and smiled sweetly at him.

"Girl, the boy is so good to you." Mrs. Zhou praised with a smile, then, as if thinking of something, her face darkened and she sighed, "Unlike that bastard in my family—"

She immediately stopped talking and looked at Lin Shu embarrassedly.

Lin Shu smiled shyly and didn't ask any more questions.

Just as Lin Shu was about to eat, he glanced at Mrs. Zhou and the two little girls.

The three of them were each holding a steamed bun and chewing it.

Lin Shu quietly pulled Han Yan's clothes and whispered a few words in his ear.

Han Yan glanced across and nodded.

"Mrs. Zhou." Lin Shu called.

"What's the matter, young lady?" Mrs. Zhou immediately swallowed the steamed bun in her mouth and asked.

"Can you guys handle spicy food?" Lin Shu said, looking at his lunch box. "You see, I can't handle spicy food either. I'll share some of this lunch with you. It would be a waste if you throw it away."

She actually saw that Mrs. Zhou had just taken out a bag of steamed buns and placed a few cans of chili sauce next to it, so she guessed that they could eat spicy food.

"My husband has had enough to eat," Lin Shu added, glancing at Han Yan.

Han Yan nodded.

Mrs. Zhou hesitated for a moment and said, "Thank you, young lady."

Lin Shu put some rice and vegetables on the lid of the lunch box, and then handed the whole lunch box to her.

Mrs. Zhou took the lunch box with a grateful look on her face. She didn't eat anything at all. She took out two empty bowls and shared them with the two little girls.

Then, she handed the bag of steamed bread to Lin Shu: "If you don't mind, try the steamed bread I made."

"Why would you dislike it?" Lin Shu took out a steamed bun and took a bite.

Although it was a little spicy for her throat, she kept her expression unchanged and ate it in small bites.

"Wow, Mom, Mom, it's meat." Suddenly, the older girl Xiaocao exclaimed. She picked up a piece and carefully put it to Mrs. Zhou's mouth, "Mom, you eat too."

Mrs. Zhou touched the girl's head with relief: "If mother doesn't like it, you eat it."

Xiaocao hesitated for a moment, put the meat into his mouth, and asked innocently, "Mom, the meat is so delicious, why don't you like it?"

Mrs. Zhou smiled and said nothing.

She kept looking at the two little girls, hatred flashed across her face, followed by a hint of sadness, and finally, she looked at them with a loving face.

Lin Shu and Han Yan looked at each other, neither saying a word.

In the evening, Lin Shu rubbed his waist and back, which felt sore from sitting for too long.

"Are you tired? Do you want to go out for a walk?" Han Yan reached out to press her shoulders and asked gently.

Lin Shu looked towards the aisle of the train and saw that there were not many people, so she nodded: "Okay." She had never stood up except to go to the bathroom.

She was overwhelmed at the thought of having to sit on the train for another day and night. Fortunately, the train was not particularly crowded.

"Let me stay with you." Han Yan stood up and said.

Two people walked in the train aisle, one in front and one behind.

Occasionally, you can see people like them walking around in the aisles.

"How is it? Are you still feeling uncomfortable?" Han Yan asked softly.

"I should have bought a sleeper," he said ruefully.

"Much better." Lin Shu's eyes curved slightly, "I'm not that delicate." Sleeper tickets are hard to come by now, and she doesn't want him to trouble others for such a small matter.

The two walked, occasionally exchanging a word or two. When they were about to reach the drinking water area, they suddenly heard a loud noise from inside.

"Zhou Qianqian, stop messing around and come home with me from the train tomorrow morning." A man said loudly, his tone full of dissatisfaction.

"I'm not going back." Then a sharp female voice sounded, "I still have to go see Brother Hao."

"Then go by yourself. I won't accompany you."

"Ah, if you don't dare to accompany me, I will tell mom when I get home."

"Then tell me."

Lin Shu and Han Yan looked at each other.

"Let's go back." Lin Shu whispered. He decided to turn back and not go any further.

After walking a few steps, Lin Shu jokingly said, "Brother Hao? Could it be Qin Hao?"

"It's very likely." Han Yan said seriously.

Lin Shu chuckled.

Han Yan's mouth corners raised.

The two looked at each other, with smiles in each other's eyes, and they both knew that the other was joking.

When they returned to their seats, the two little girls were asleep. Mrs. Zhou, who had her eyes closed, suddenly opened them with a look of alertness. When she saw them, she smiled at them and closed her eyes again.

Lin Shu sat down in his seat carefully.

As soon as Han Yan sat down, he touched Lin Shu, pointed at his thigh, and leaned over to whisper, "Come here and sleep for a while."

Lin Shu looked at him with wide eyes, hesitated for a moment, and then leaned over to him.

As I walked along, I saw people sleeping in all kinds of positions on the seats, including some like them.

Han Yan spread out a small quilt to cover her, pulled her into his arms, gently placed one hand on her to hold her, and placed the other hand next to her head.

Lin Shu felt sweet in her heart. She reached out and held the fingers he placed next to her head, and closed her eyes contentedly.

She woke up once in the middle of the night, stretched her stiff body, and then slept until dawn.
