Chapter 108 New Home

When they arrived at the family area, Xiao Zhang led Mrs. Zhou in different directions.

"Are you tired? Do you want to take a break?" Han Yan stopped and asked.

Lin Shu shifted the luggage from his right hand to his left hand and shook his head: "I'm not tired, let's go quickly."

"Give me the bag." Han Yan said after taking a look at the bag in her hand.

"I'm really not tired." Lin Shu felt warm in his heart and glanced at Han Yan who was already carrying a large package in one hand.

Han Yan stared at her for a few seconds, said nothing, but slowed down his pace.

The two finally arrived at the building where they were. Fortunately, the floor they were on was not very high.

As soon as they stepped onto the stairs, they met a slightly tall and strong woman walking down.

"Captain Han, you're back?" she shouted loudly, her eyes set on Lin Shu behind Han Yan, looking him up and down.

Han Yan nodded and said, "Sister-in-law Wei." Then he turned to look at Lin Shu and said, "This is my wife, Lin Shu."

"Hello, Sister Wei." Lin Shu said with a smile.

"Hello, hello, you are really as beautiful as the rumors say." Mrs. Wei's face was full of smiles.

Lin Shu raised her eyebrows slightly. She could keenly sense that Mrs. Wei seemed to dislike her.

"Mrs. Wei, let's go up first." Han Yan said.

Lin Shu followed Han Yan and was glared at by Mrs. Wei when he passed by her.

Lin Shu was confused. When had he offended her?

"Who was that just now..." Lin Shu asked softly after going up to the second floor.

She is the daughter-in-law of the company commander who lives on the third floor.

"How's your relationship?"

"What about your relationship with Captain Wei?" Han Yan gave her a strange look. "Very good, what's wrong?"

"That Mrs. Wei just now...seemed to have some opinions about me." Lin Shu hesitated for a moment and decided not to hide it from him.

Han Yan's face turned cold, and he stroked her hair gently: "Don't pay attention to her, and don't tolerate her."

"If I don't get along well with the military wives, will it affect you..." Lin Shu asked nervously. She was not good at, nor did she like, dealing with interpersonal relationships.

Han Yan scratched her nose lightly and said softly, "Silly girl, forget what I said. Just be yourself."

"Yeah." Lin Shu nodded heavily. She was so lucky to have met him.

"Be good, come and see our home." Han Yan said as he opened the door and turned on the lights in the house.

Lin Shu walked into the house. As soon as he entered, he saw the hall. There was only a wooden table and a few wooden stools in the hall.

The larger room is their bedroom, which has a large bed, a dressing table and a large wardrobe.

Next door was a small room with only a bed, a table and a stool.

Diagonally opposite the door of the small room is a small cubicle that combines a washroom and toilet. Fortunately, the area is not small.

Further in is a small kitchen with a window.

"How is it?" Han Yan asked behind her.

"Very good." Lin Shu raised the corners of his mouth and nodded with satisfaction.

"There's still a little stuff missing." Han Yan said, "You can buy whatever you want later. You have the final say on how to arrange it."

Lin Shu raised the corners of his mouth slightly and said in a soft voice, "Aren't you afraid that I will spend all your money?" He had already handed her the passbook and the cash and bills in his hand.

"Then I have to work harder and try to earn as much as you spend." Han Yan said with a smile.

Lin Shu chuckled: "Then you have to work harder."

"Yeah." Han Yan rubbed her hair.

Next, they simply packed up the things they brought.

"You take a rest first." After cleaning up, Han Yan took out two lunch boxes and said, "I'll go to the cafeteria to get some food."

Lin Shu nodded.

After he left, Lin Shu lit the coal stove and put a pot of water on it.

After dinner, they can take a bath.

At this moment, there was a knock on the door.

Lin Shu hurried to open the door.

A thin-faced woman in her thirties came out of the door with a basin. She looked at her with a smile and said, "Captain Han's wife, right? I live on the first floor. Just call me Sister Cao."

She paused and said, "I vaguely heard some noise upstairs, and I guessed it was Captain Han who came back. I just made some sweet potato pancakes, and I'll give some to you guys to try."

"Hello, Mrs. Cao, please come in and sit down." Lin Shu greeted her quickly.

"No, you just got here," Mrs. Cao said, pressing the plate into her hands. "I don't want to disturb you. I'll come over and sit with you in a couple of days."

After saying that, he turned around and rushed downstairs without waiting for Lin Shu's reaction.

Lin Shu looked at the golden pancakes on the plate and thought that Mrs. Cao's personality was a bit like Aunt Liang's.

Not long after, Han Yan came back with a lunch box.

"Has anyone been here?" Han Yan asked as soon as he entered the door.

So sharp. Lin Shu pointed to the pancakes on the table and said, "It was sent by Mrs. Cao from the first floor."

"Well, Mrs. Cao is a nice person. You can ask her if you have any questions in the future." Han Yan put the lunch box on the table and opened the lid and said.

Lin Shu raised his eyebrows and nodded. It seemed that he had a good idea of what the military wives were like.

Soon her eyes were drawn to the braised pork on the lunch box.

The two of them looked at each other at the same time, with smiles that they both understood in their eyes.

"What a coincidence! This is the braised pork that the canteen chef is known for, which I mentioned in my letter." Han Yan said with a smile, "He happened to make it today."

"Then I am so lucky." Lin Shu said, and couldn't wait to pick up the chopsticks, pick up a piece and put it in his mouth.
