Chapter 109 Canteen

It turned out to be Mrs. Wei from yesterday.

"Good morning, Sister Wei." Lin Shu said with a smile.

"Good morning, Xiaolin." Mrs. Wei said, leaning halfway in. "Why don't you ask me to come in and sit down?"

Lin Shu was stunned and said, "Come in and sit down."

Mrs. Wei walked in front of Lin Shu without waiting for her to react, looking here and there.

Then, she cast her eyes on the breakfast on the table and said exaggeratedly, "Xiao Lin, you didn't just get up, did you?"

Lin Shu nodded calmly. She didn't think sleeping in at home was a big deal.

Mrs. Wei's face was full of disapproval: "Don't tell me that this breakfast was also made by Captain Han, right?"

Lin Shu nodded calmly. She didn't think it was strange for her husband to make breakfast.

"What?" Mrs. Wei seemed frightened, her eyes full of disbelief. "Not only did you sleep in, but you also let a man make breakfast for you."

"Is there anything wrong with this?" Lin Shu asked.

She knew that in some families women were the ones doing the housework, but in her family and Han Yan's family, men would also help women with the housework when they were free.

Every family has its own lifestyle, there is nothing strange about that.

"What's wrong?" Mrs. Wei raised her voice, "As a woman, how can you be so lazy?"

She frowned and began to scold: "Your man is working so hard outside, you should have woken up early..."

Lin Shu felt helpless.

She didn't want to have such an awkward quarrel with Han Yan's brother's wife on the first day, so she nodded casually to deal with it.

At this time, Mrs. Cao came in and said with a smile: "What are you talking about? It's so lively."

Lin Shu greeted her enthusiastically as if he had seen a savior: "Sister Cao, you're here, come and sit down."

Mrs. Cao gave Lin Shu a reassuring look, then turned to look at Mrs. Wei: "Mrs. Wei, I seemed to see your two boys playing in the yard just now."

"What?" Mrs. Wei was shocked. "Could it be that these two little ancestors skipped classes again? No, I have to go and check it out." After saying that, she hurried out.

Seeing her go out, Lin Shu breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Mrs. Cao with gratitude.

Mrs. Cao smiled brightly. "As soon as I got home, I heard her loud voice and knew she was lecturing someone again. I guessed you must be embarrassed to say anything, so I hurried over to check on her."

Lin Shu smiled embarrassedly.

"Also," Mrs. Cao said with a stern face, "Don't listen to her nonsense. She treats the three men in her family like ancestors, feeding the younger ones and wanting to feed the older ones too. She thinks all women should be like her."

Lin Shu opened his eyes wide, his face full of disbelief.

"You don't have to put up with her anymore. Just be nice to her." Mrs. Cao continued, "If she hits a wall a couple more times, she won't pick on you anymore."

Lin Shu nodded quickly: "Thank you, sister-in-law."

"What's there to thank me for?" Mrs. Cao said with a smile, "I think women should have their own opinions." She looked at Lin Shu ambiguously and said, "A good man is one who loves his wife."

Lin Shu's face flushed and he nodded hurriedly.

Mrs. Cao laughed heartily. "I never thought that Captain Han, though he looks cold and icy, actually loves his wife more than most men I've ever met. It really is true that 'hardened steel becomes soft as silk'."

Lin Shu smiled. She also thought Han Yan was good.

"Okay, I won't nag you anymore. If you have any questions, just come and ask me." After saying this, Mrs. Cao left in a hurry.

After seeing Mrs. Cao leave, Lin Shu quickly finished the last two bites of breakfast to prevent anyone else from coming over.

After cleaning up the dishes, Lin Shu looked at the empty house and wondered what he should add.

She took out a pen and paper and sat at the table, thinking and writing. The living room should have some furniture... and the other room...

"I wonder if there's any furniture maker around here," Lin Shu muttered to herself. She wanted to make something she liked.

As she thought about it, she also drew the pattern of the furniture.

Knock, knock, knock! There was another knock on the door.

Lin Shu raised his head and rubbed his sore neck. When he looked at the time, it was already noon.

She guessed that it must be Han Yan who came back, and ran over happily to open the door.

It was indeed Han Yan.

"You're back?" Lin Shu's face was full of joy.

"What are you so happy about?" Han Yan asked as he took her hand and walked into the house.

"I'm happy to see you back." Lin Shu said, glancing at him shyly, her face hot, but she just wanted to say it.

After hearing this, Han Yan turned around and half-hugged her, looking her in the eye with a smile in his eyes. "Look at your little mouth today, is it as sweet as honey?" Then he kissed her.

"Hmm," Han Yan licked his lips and said ambiguously, "It's sweet indeed."

Lin Shu's cheeks burned hot, and he stammered, "You, you..."

Han Yan put him down, laughed heartily, and ruffled her hair: "Come on, I'll take you to the cafeteria for dinner."

Lin Shu forgot what happened just now when he heard it, and gave him a coquettish look: "Wait a moment."

She hurried into the room to fix her hair and clothes. She didn't want to leave a bad impression in front of everyone.

After a while, the two went to the cafeteria together.

As they walked, Han Yan introduced the surroundings to her: "The building over there is the office building, the training ground is on the side, and that is the dormitory building..."

Lin Shu looked at him curiously and asked him some questions from time to time.

"Hello, Captain Han, hello, sister-in-law."

A neat and high-pitched voice suddenly sounded.

Lin Shu was startled and quickly looked in the direction of the sound.
