Chapter 122 Fainting

"Don't move." Han Yan took a deep breath and lowered his voice.

Lin Shu felt something was wrong with his body and immediately stood still.

After a while, Han Yan let out a sigh: "Let's talk for a while."

Lin Shu breathed a sigh of relief. These past few days had been so… she still hadn't recovered.

"You can't bear to leave me." Han Yan's voice was soft.

Lin Shu hummed softly and leaned his face against him.

"Don't worry, I'll be careful." Han Yan rubbed his chin against the top of her head.

"Um……"

"If you have any questions, you can find Instructor Gao."

"Um……"

"Take good care of yourself at home."

"Um……"

“…”

As Lin Shu listened to Han Yan's chattering, he felt an infinite sense of security and sweetness in his heart.

After an unknown amount of time, she fell into a sweet dream.

The next morning, Lin Shu was startled awake by the movement of the people next to her. She immediately sat up.

"What's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?" Han Yan, who was sitting beside the bed, looked worried and reached out to push the hair away from her face and behind her ears.

"No." Lin Shu shook his head and took his hand: "I'll pack your things for you."

As she said this, she was about to lift the quilt and get up.

"No need." Han Yan held her down, "Everything is packed, you can sleep for a while."

Lin Shu sat on the bed, staring at Han Yan closely in the faint light coming in through the window.

Han Yan changed his clothes and came over, gently kissing her forehead: "Be good, wait for me to come back."

It was not until he heard the sound of the door closing outside the house that Lin Shu lay back on the bed like a lost soul.

She couldn't fall asleep anymore, and only came to her senses when the sunlight shone into the room.

She patted her cheeks and said, "Come on, Lin Shu, you can do it," she encouraged herself.

Shortly after breakfast, Mrs. Cao came to visit.

"Xiao Lin, are you okay?" she asked as soon as she saw Lin Shu.

Lin Shu felt a little warm in his heart: "It's okay."

"I understand how you feel," Mrs. Cao said. "When I first came here, it was my husband's first mission, and I was so worried I couldn't eat or sleep."

Lin Shu poured a glass of water and placed it in front of her desk, then sat down and listened to her quietly.

Mrs. Cao took a sip from her water cup and continued, "Then I thought, what's the point of worrying? Life has to go on as usual."

Lin Shu nodded in agreement.

"However," Mrs. Cao looked at Lin Shu and said earnestly, "People tend to think a lot when they are idle, and they also tend to think a lot when they are alone."

"You should have had a child sooner. With a child to hold you back, you wouldn't have to think so much."

"A baby?" Lin Shu couldn't help but put his hand on his belly.

Although she didn't quite agree with what Mrs. Cao said, having a child would distract her attention.

But, Lin Shu pursed her lips. She really wanted a child, a child for her and Han Yan.

After Mrs. Cao left, Lin Shu felt much better.

She excitedly found a blank notebook and listed out all the knowledge points she remembered about pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy, and post-pregnancy.

She thought she would need it soon.

night.

This was the first night without Han Yan since Lin Shu joined the army.

She looked at the empty room, feeling a little uncomfortable.

Suddenly, there was a loud bang and thunder was heard outside.

Lin Shu quickly ran to the balcony and took in the clothes that were hanging out to dry.

Before she could carry the clothes back to the room, she could hear the sound of raindrops hitting the window outside.

"Wow--"

After a while, a sharp cry of a child was heard.

Lin Shu didn't care. She hung up the clothes she had collected on the hangers.

It is not surprising that the children of Mrs. Cao who lives on the first floor and Mrs. Wei who lives on the third floor occasionally cry.

After a long while, Lin Shu, who was leaning on the bed reading a book, frowned slightly.

The child's crying hasn't stopped yet, which is very wrong.

She walked out of the room, opened the door outside, and listened carefully.

The crying sound came from Mrs. Cao's house on the first floor, occasionally accompanied by a few children's shouts.

"Wow! Mom, please wake up..."

"Come and save my mother."

When Lin Shu heard this, he was shocked and quickly ran to the first floor.

"Sister Cao, Sister Cao."

Lin Shu ran to Mrs. Cao's house, knocked hard, and shouted loudly inside.

There was no answer from inside the house, only the sound of a child crying.

Lin Shu was anxious and shouted, "Xiao Ming, Xiao Ming, open the door for Auntie."

She shouted several times before she heard the sound of footsteps in the house.

The door was opened by Mrs. Cao's youngest son.

His face was red and tear-stained from crying, and he cried to her aggrievedly: "Auntie..."

Lin Shu paused and asked hurriedly, "Xiao Ming, where is your mother?"

"Mom, mom..." Xiao Ming started crying again.

Lin Shu didn't care about him and hurried into the house.

I saw Mrs. Cao lying on the ground with a pale face and unconscious.

Lin Shu quickly squatted down to examine her.

At this time, Mrs. Wei from the third floor also came into the room, looking panicked: "What, what happened?"

"Hurry, hurry, send Sister Cao to the infirmary." she shouted loudly.

Then she slapped her thigh again and said, "Oh, how are we going to go out when it's raining so hard outside?"

"No need to go to the infirmary." Lin Shu breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that Mrs. Cao was not in danger of death. "You take care of her, I'll be back soon."

Without waiting for Mrs. Wei to react, Lin Shu rushed upstairs, then ran downstairs with the needle and the necessary medicine.

Mrs. Cao paced back and forth in the room, looking anxious. When she saw her, her eyes lit up: "Xiao Lin, what are you going to do?"

"I'll treat Sister Cao first." Lin Shu said quickly, "I squatted next to Sister Cao and poured a small bottle of medicine into her mouth."

"Xiao Ming, don't be afraid, Mom will be fine soon." Taking advantage of the opportunity to observe Mrs. Cao, Lin Shu softly comforted Xiao Ming who was tightly clutching Mrs. Cao's clothes.

"Hmm..." Xiao Ming sat next to Mrs. Cao and sobbed.

"Mrs. Wei, come and help move Mrs. Cao to the bed." Seeing that Mrs. Cao's expression had eased, Lin Shu turned to Mrs. Wei who was standing aside staring at them blankly and said.

After putting Mrs. Cao on the bed, Lin Shu asked Mrs. Wei to take Xiao Ming, who had followed in, out.

"I want to give Mrs. Cao acupuncture." Lin Shu said.

"Can you do it?" Mrs. Wei looked doubtful after hearing what Lin Shu said.

"I can do it." Lin Shu said firmly.

"You..." Mrs. Wei opened her mouth and took Xiao Ming out half-believingly.

After finishing the acupuncture, Lin Shu saw that Mrs. Cao was in stable condition and walked out of the room.

Xiao Ming had fallen asleep on the bench outside the hall.

Mrs. Wei sat beside him blankly. When she saw Lin Shu, her eyes lit up: "Are you done?"

Lin Shu nodded, everything was fine.

Mrs. Wei was skeptical, but her expression relaxed.

"Mrs. Wei? You go back first. I'm here." Lin Shu thought for a while and said.

Mrs. Wei hesitated for a moment and said, "I'll stay here with you too."
