"Oh, how miserable!"
Sitting on the hospital bed, Han Yan turned his head to look at Number Nine who came in with a kettle.
"What's so miserable?" Number Six asked with a smile after taking a sip of soup.
"What's eating so delicious? Give me some." Number Nine put the kettle on the ground, sat down next to Number Six, and stretched his neck to look into the bowl.
"Hey, wow, it's a chicken leg." He quickly picked up the chicken leg.
"Hey, give it back to me." Number Six pounced over.
"No." Number Nine quickly opened his mouth and sucked the chicken leg back and forth.
Number Six was stunned, with a look of disgust on his face: "You kid, aren't you disgusting?"
Number Nine chuckled and said, "It's not disgusting if you put it in my mouth."
Han Yan looked at the two of them and shook his head.
Number Nine ripped off a piece of chicken thigh and said, "I was filling water just now and passed by an operating room."
He took another bite of chicken and continued, "That woman cried so miserably. It was heartbreaking to see and hear."
"It makes those who hear it sad, and it makes those who listen cry." Number Six interrupted.
Number Nine choked and stared at him with wide eyes.
Number Six handed the poured water to Han Yan and chuckled, "Go on, go on."
Number Nine quickly swallowed the food in his mouth: "Anyway, I was crying and feeling very sad. It was very miserable. It was very miserable."
"Still shouting..." Number Nine said as he suddenly moved closer to Han Yan and looked him up and down.
Han Yan looked at the big greasy mouth in front of him.
He calmly extended a finger to Nine's face as it came closer and closer.
"Number Two, your real name is Han Yan, right?" Number Nine asked with wide eyes.
Han Yan nodded in confusion.
"Nonsense, you're the one with the head injury." Number Six, who was standing next to him, pushed Number Nine aside and said, "Just say it. Why are you getting closer to that person?"
Number Nine sat back on the stool and chewed the remaining chicken leg bone. "You and that person are truly destined to be together. The woman crying and shouting was Han Yan."
Han Yan paused while drinking water, and couldn't help but think of the girl in his dream whose nickname was Xiao Shuer and whose real name was Lin Shu.
He rubbed the wall of the cup with his thumb and stared at the ripples in the water, slightly distracted.
He always felt that he had forgotten something very important.
"Pfft, ptff, ptff, what do you mean by destiny? Don't talk nonsense." Number Six kicked Number Nine. "Number Two is married."
"What I'm saying is—"
"Wait." Han Yan came back to his senses, interrupted Number Nine, and stared at Number Six, "What did you just say?"
Number Six was stunned: "Pfft, ptff, what do you mean by fate?"
"Not this one."
"Number two is married."
Han Yan's face was filled with disbelief, and he asked hesitantly, "You mean, I have a wife?"
"Yeah." Number Six's eyes widened. "You said you had a wife."
"I said it myself?"
"yes!"
"Could it be that you made this up to deal with He Xiaoling? That's not right, you clearly—"
"Hahaha." Number Nine suddenly burst into laughter. "Number Two, Number Two, you're not bragging to us that you have a wife just to save face, are you?"
"Go to hell." Number Six kicked Number Nine again. "Does Number Two really need to brag?"
"Why not?"
"You think he looks like you?"
"What's wrong with me? I look manly."
"You are ugly."
"Then you look as pretty as a woman, and you don't have a wife yet."
"Okay, you're talking about me again..."
The two started gesturing again.
I, have a wife? Han Yan's grip on the water glass tightened, his heart filled with shock.
He believed that Number Six would not lie, and he believed even more that he would not speak nonsense.
He panicked and said hurriedly, "Number Six, please call a doctor for me."
Number Six, who was strangling Number Nine, immediately stopped and quickly let go of Number Nine: "Are you feeling unwell? I'll be right there."
He rushed out immediately after he said that.
"What are you doing? You can't run around in the hospital." As soon as he reached the ward door, he almost bumped into the nurse coming in.
"Yes, I'm sorry." Number Nine apologized and squeezed out quickly.
The nurse shook her head and turned to the person behind her and said, "This is the ward."
"Okay, thank you for your help."
A familiar voice sounded.
Han Yan looked at them, his gaze fell on the person behind the nurse, his pupils dilated.
She, isn’t she the little Shu’er who appeared in his dream when he grew up, the girl Lin Shu?
Lin Shu thanked the nurse and looked at Han Yan, who was sitting on the hospital bed and staring at her blankly.
While I felt relieved, a hint of doubt flashed across my mind. What was that look in his eyes?
Lin Shu walked to the bedside, raised his hand and waved it in front of Han Yan's eyes, jokingly saying, "What? Don't you recognize me?"
"No." Han Yan blurted out.
He avoided looking around, lowered his head slightly, and his hand trembled, causing the water in the cup to accidentally splash onto the cup.
"Why are you so careless?" Lin Shu glared at him, took the cup from his hand and put it on the table.
Han Yan was startled and clenched his hands lightly.
"Good boy, we were worried to death." Instructor Gao, who came in with him, stepped forward and lightly punched Han Yan on the shoulder.
"Especially my sister-in-law." He winked at Han Yan and whispered, "You have to coax her well."
Han Yan couldn't help but look at Lin Shu.
Lin Shu smiled at him.
When he met her gaze, Han Yan was stunned. He quickly shifted his gaze as if he was scalded, and his face flushed slightly.
Lin Shu was stunned, feeling both angry and amused. Why did this person become shy after being injured?
