"Ah, which one is that?" Aunt Liang looked confused.
Zhou Chuanxiong pondered for a moment. "About a decade ago, I settled in a village in western China. At that time, a story was popular there."
Han Yan and Aunt Liang looked at Zhou Chuanxiong seriously.
Lin Shu pricked up his ears.
"In the story, there are people in the village who are like Shushu. They are in a coma, but their bodies are incredibly healthy."
"Ah, why is this happening?" Aunt Liang asked hurriedly.
Zhou Chuanxiong didn't answer the question directly, but continued, "The villagers investigated various reasons and later found out..."
Lin Shu held his breath and took a step closer.
"The unconscious people had gone into a mountain behind the village before they fell unconscious."
"What's in the mountains?" Aunt Liang widened her eyes.
"Somewhere in the mountains, a huge pit appeared at some point. The pit was filled with water, and through the water, you could see a colorful boulder lying at the bottom of the pit."
Suddenly a large pit of water appeared, and Lin Shu looked at Han Yan.
She remembered the puddle she and Han Yan saw when they were in the unknown space.
I don't know if there is any connection between the two.
Han Yan paused, a trace of contemplation flashing in his eyes. It seemed that he and Lin Shu were thinking the same thing.
"Does it have anything to do with this puddle?" asked Aunt Liang.
Zhou Chuanxiong nodded and shook his head.
"What does this mean?"
“That’s just speculation.”
"When the villagers discovered the pit, they started talking about it. Some said someone dug it, but more people speculated that it was caused by a loud noise one night and that the boulder was an extraterrestrial object that fell from the sky that night."
"However," Zhou Chuanxiong continued, "no matter which speculation you have, after the villagers fenced off the pit and prohibited entry, no one has fallen unconscious since then."
"Has the unconscious person woke up?" Lin Shu blurted out, and only after he finished speaking did he realize that they couldn't hear what he said.
"Are they awake?" Han Yan asked immediately, as if they had telepathy, his eyes filled with anticipation.
Lin Shu's heart was lifted.
"Awake." Zhou Chuanxiong said.
Lin Shu's heart dropped instantly.
"How did you wake up?"
"How did you wake up?"
Han Yan and Aunt Liang spoke at the same time, their expressions slightly excited.
Zhou Chuanxiong sighed: "No one knows, they woke up one day later."
"Ah..." Aunt Liang's face was full of disappointment.
Han Yan's eyes darkened.
Lin Shu felt a sense of loss.
"The strange thing is," Zhou Chuanxiong said to Han Yan, "everyone who woke up said that they saw another world in the puddle, and they also went to that world."
What? Lin Shu was shocked and immediately looked at Han Yan.
Han Yan's pupils suddenly shrank.
"Are they dreaming?" Aunt Liang said in surprise.
"Well, the villagers heard it and said the same thing."
"To prove that what they said was true, they went to see the puddle again."
"How is it? How is it?"
"The pit is still there, but the water and the boulders inside are gone."
"How amazing!" Aunt Liang exclaimed. "Could it have been secretly moved away?"
"Yeah." Zhou Chuanxiong nodded. "Some people suspect so, but there's no trace of it around."
"Naturally, there's no way to prove the truth in what they say."
"Everyone in the village said they were dreaming."
"Those people don't think so. They believe that their souls have temporarily left their bodies and gone to another world."
"So this is called soul separation syndrome?"
Zhou Chuanxiong shook his head: "That's half right. The people in the back think that this is actually a disease. They came into contact with the water in the pit and were infected by the strange rocks lying at the bottom of the pit.
"This is the source of 'Soul Separation Syndrome'."
Is that so? Lin Shu lowered his head and fell into deep thought. But...
"But Shushu has never come into contact with the water or the stone?" Aunt Liang asked what was in her heart.
No, Lin Shu suddenly looked up at Han Yan.
She had touched the water in the puddle in that unknown space.
While wiping Han Yan's hands.
At that time, she suspected that Han Yan's coma and amnesia were related to this.
Although, they did not see any strange stones in the puddle.
But combined with what her father just said.
In all likelihood, her situation is the same as those people's.
Han Yan's eyes brightened a little, and there was a hint of obvious excitement on his face.
"So I said Shushu's condition is like a dissociative disorder." Zhou Chuanxiong replied, "But I want to go--"
"I'm going to this village." Han Yan said.
"What, what?" Aunt Liang looked shocked.
Zhou Chuanxiong stared at him.
Lin Shu's heart skipped a beat.
"I'm going to this village." Han Yan repeated.
"But, but..." Aunt Liang said anxiously, "Shushu's situation is different from theirs. There's no need, no need..."
"Are you sure?" Zhou Chuanxiong asked in a deep voice.
"Sure." Han Yan's eyes were firm.
"Aren't you going back to the army?" Zhou Chuanxiong asked again.
Lin Shu bit his lip, his heart in a knot.
Han Yan was silent for a few seconds, then said in a deep voice, "I'm going to apply for a transfer."
"What?" Aunt Liang shouted, standing up suddenly, "You, you..."
Lin Shu's heart sank heavily, and he felt as if the dust had settled.
The tears in her eyes flowed like a dam breaking.
