Chapter 8: Touching Porcelain



"Let's go to the restaurant for lunch." Lin Shu suggested.

"Okay, okay." Xu Juan said excitedly, "I haven't eaten meat for a long time. This time I want to eat my fill."

She took out her ticket, counted it, and then her round face turned pale. "Okay, I'll just eat a little."

Lin Shu couldn't help but smile: "I'll treat you."

Suddenly a sharp howl was heard from the street.

Lin Shu looked in the direction of the sound.

Not far away was an old woman lying on the ground.

Her hand was tugging at a young man's clothes.

There was a half-worn bicycle lying on the ground.

"My legs are broken, my legs are about to be broken." The old woman cried and shouted.

The young man he was pulling was fair-skinned, with his glasses slightly crooked on his nose, and he stood there looking a little embarrassed.

In a short while, passers-by who came to watch the fun gradually gathered around.

Lin Shu thought about it and went over to take a look.

"No, no, I, she ran over here by herself and then fell in front of my car." The young man who was being pulled flushed and explained anxiously.

Lin Shu looked into the young man's eyes. Although his eyes showed panic, he did not feel guilty.

Although the old woman on the ground was crying desperately, there was no look of pain in her eyes.

It was obvious that the young man was being blackmailed by the old woman.

"Mother-in-law, I know a little about medicine. Let me check your legs." Lin Shu walked over and said.

The old woman stopped crying but ignored Lin Shu.

She continued to pull the young man, crying and shouting: "My leg is broken, you have to pay for my medical expenses and nutrition..."

It turned out to be a scam!
