"Thank you, my dear." Aunt Liang looked at Lin Shu cheerfully and said, "Ever since I used the medicine pack you made, my legs have felt much better. Now I'd like to trouble you to come over for acupuncture."
"You're welcome, Auntie." Lin Shu finished the last stitch and said with a smile, "It's what I should do."
"There is no such thing as "should"; people should learn to be grateful," Aunt Liang sighed.
"Stay for dinner later." Aunt Liang took Lin Shu's hand and said.
Lin Shu smiled and said, "I have something to do later, Auntie."
"Something's wrong, something's wrong. You always say you have something wrong, but you're actually just being polite to me." Aunt Liang turned her face away and pretended to be angry.
Lin Shu laughed, thought for a moment and said, "Next time, Auntie."
Aunt Liang squinted her eyes and glanced at Lin Shu: "Really?"
Lin Shu laughed: "Really, I promise."
Aunt Liang then smiled brightly and patted Lin Shu's hand cheerfully: "It's a deal now. You can't lie to me."
Lin Shu smiled and nodded.
Lin Shu left Aunt Liang's house and walked a few steps before he saw Liu Fang walking towards him with a basket.
Lin Shu pretended not to see her.
Unexpectedly, Liu Fang walked straight towards her and stopped in front of her, looking at her gloomily: "I won't let you succeed."
Lin Shu was confused: "What?"
Liu Fang didn't answer, but glared at her fiercely and walked behind her.
Lin Shu turned around.
I found that Liu Fang was walking towards Aunt Liang's house, and then she actually entered the yard.
Lin Shu frowned slightly. Why was she going to Aunt Liang's house?
Then, Lin Shu shook her head. This was none of her business.
Liu Fang put on a smile after entering the yard and shouted inside: "Auntie Liang, Auntie Liang, are you home?"
"Who is it?" Li Qiu walked out of the house.
"Sister Li, it's me." Liu Fang said with a smile.
"Miss Liu, why are you here again? Is there something wrong?" Li Qiu asked puzzledly.
Liu Fang's smile froze for a moment, and then she said quickly, "I'm looking for Aunt Liang. Is she here?"
"My mother is in the room." Li Qiu said.
After hearing this, Liu Fang immediately walked into the house.
"Wait a minute," Li Qiu chased after her, "She's resting inside, come next time."
Liu Fang ignored her, walked quickly to the door of the room and pushed it open.
Aunt Liang, who was sitting on the kang and cutting cloth, was frightened and shuddered.
She frowned as she looked at the fabric that had been cut sideways because of the shock, and asked unhappily, "Who is it?"
"Auntie Liang, it's me." Liu Fang said with a smile.
"Miss Liu, why are you here again?" Aunt Liang looked at her and said in a bad tone.
Liu Fang's smile almost faltered. She forced herself to maintain a smile and said, "Auntie, I heard you weren't feeling well, so I came to see you. This is what I made myself—"
"Pah, pah, pah," Aunt Liang said unhappily, frowning, "What's wrong with me?"
"This is Lin Shu, yes, it was Lin Shu who said it." Liu Fang looked a little flustered and stuttered.
"How is that possible?" Aunt Liang looked as if she didn't believe it at all.
Liu Fang secretly hated him, but she forced a smile and explained, "Maybe I heard it wrong."
"You just heard it wrong." Aunt Liang said affirmatively with a pout.
Now, Liu Fang even hated Aunt Liang.
She could no longer force a smile, and her face was a little ashen.
She quickly placed the basket on the table and said, "Auntie Liang, this is for you. I'll come to see you next time."
After saying that, he rushed out of the room without waiting for Aunt Liang to react.
Aunt Liang and Li Qiu who was standing next to her looked at each other.
Then, Aunt Liang frowned and sighed: "Return the basket to Miss Liu. We are not familiar with her."
Li Qiu nodded and chased after him with the basket.
Aunt Liang held up the crookedly cut cloth and muttered, "Could this be the result of that brat's tantrum again? He looks so icy, I don't know why he's trying to provoke a girl like that."
This way.
On the way back to the educated youth compound, Lin Shu met Xu Juan who had just finished work.
Xu Juan saw her and ran towards her excitedly: "Lin Shu."
"Slow down, and be careful not to run or jump." Lin Shu looked at Xu Juan's feet and said, "Although there are no injuries to the bones, it still takes some time to recover."
"Yes, yes, Doctor Xiaolin." Xu Juan stuck out her tongue and said with a smile, holding Lin Shu's hand, "Thanks to your medicine, I got better so quickly."
“That’s it!”
"You're really not modest."
The two of them walked towards the educated youth compound while chatting and laughing.
They walked to the dormitory door and were about to push it open when they vaguely heard soft sobbing coming from inside.
Lin Shu slowly lowered his hand that was holding the door.
She and Xu Juan looked at each other.
Xu Juan shook her head.
The two of them stood quietly outside the door.
I don’t know how long it took, but Liu Fang came back and was walking towards this side with a grim face.
Xu Juan stepped forward to stand in front of her and made a hushing gesture to her.
Liu Fang ignored her, walked around her, turned around and glared at Lin Shu fiercely.
Then, without waiting for Lin Shu and Xu Juan to react, she pushed open the dormitory door.
Lin Shu and Xu Juan immediately looked inside the dormitory.
Lin Shu saw that Xiao Qiao, who was sitting on the bed, was hurriedly pulling down her pants that had been rolled up to her knees. Then, she quickly lay down and pulled up the quilt to cover her head.
Liu Fang froze where she was, then she walked in as if nothing had happened.
Lin Shu sat on the bed and looked at Xiao Qiao worriedly.
She had seen Xiao Qiao staring at the injury on her leg in a daze several times.
The stitches on the wound on her leg had been removed long ago, leaving only a long, ugly scar that looked like a centipede.
