Chapter 68 Discovery

After a few days, Aunt Liang was able to sit up and walk a few steps.

Everyone was very happy, and they tacitly agreed not to tell her about Han Yan, for fear of upsetting her. They decided to at least wait until she felt better before telling her.

This day.

After Lin Shu removed the needle from Aunt Liang's body, he smiled and said, "Aunt Liang, you will be able to move freely in a few days."

"Okay, okay." Aunt Liang held Lin Shu's hand and said with a smile, "Thank you so much, my dear."

"Auntie Liang, you've said thank you so many times," Lin Shu said affectionately, "I've already told you not to be polite to me."

"Yes, yes, yes." Aunt Liang agreed readily.

As she spoke, Aunt Liang looked at Li Qiu who was sitting next to her and asked, "Did you tell Yan Zi that I woke up?"

Li Qiu glanced at Lin Shu and said, "Tell him you're awake."

"That's good," Aunt Liang paused, "tell him not to rush back. I'm fine now."

Li Qiu nodded in agreement.

"And," Aunt Liang suddenly said angrily, "where's Liu Fang?"

"Auntie Liang, you are looking for Li Qiu..." Lin Shu asked tentatively.

"She was the one who pushed me down," Aunt Liang said angrily, her face flushed. "I didn't expect that little girl to be so vicious."

"Auntie Liang, don't be angry." Lin Shu quickly helped her calm down. She couldn't be too excited now.

It took a while for Aunt Liang to calm down.

"Liu Fang has gone back," Lin Shu consoled her, "but she will get her comeuppance sooner or later."

"You mean she ran away back home?" Aunt Liang frowned.

Lin Shu nodded.

"She got it for free." Aunt Liang said angrily.

At this time, Xiao Huzi rushed in: "Grandma."

"Where have you been playing, you little rascal? You look so happy." Aunt Liang said while holding Xiao Huzi's hand.

"I'm going to play at my second uncle's place--" Xiao Huzi said, and immediately covered his mouth, his eyes rolling around at Li Qiu and Lin Shu.

Lin Shu and Li Qiu looked at each other, both showing guilty expressions.

Aunt Liang was stunned for a moment, then her face turned fierce: "Are you hiding something from me?"

Lin Shu immediately took Aunt Liang's hand and said apologetically, "Aunt Liang, we didn't mean to hide this from you."

"Yes, mother, we didn't mean it." Li Qiu followed.

Aunt Liang took a long breath and said calmly, "Go ahead, I can handle it."

Lin Shu thought about it and decided to tell the truth: "Auntie Liang, Han Yan was injured during a mission. His legs can't walk for the time being, and he is now recuperating at home."

"I really just can't stand up temporarily. I'm not lying to you." Lin Shu added, paying close attention to Aunt Liang's expression, fearing to irritate her again.

Li Qiu nodded vigorously: "It's really only temporary. I can stand up now."

Aunt Liang looked calm after hearing this, but her body shook.

Lin Shu hurriedly supported her and asked worriedly, "Auntie Liang, are you okay?"

"I'm fine..." Aunt Liang's hands were shaking as she spoke tremblingly, "Help me go over and see him."

"good."

Lin Shu and Li Qiu helped Aunt Liang to see Han Yan.

When I pushed open Han Yan's door, I saw him practicing walking with a cane.

Seeing them come in, he was so startled that he staggered back two steps and fell onto the bed.

Lin Shu breathed a sigh of relief, fortunately he fell on the bed.

"Mom, why are you here?" Han Yan said a little stutteringly.

Aunt Liang snorted softly: "Why don't you want to see me?"

"No." Han Yan said embarrassedly.

Lin Shu and Li Qiu helped Aunt Liang sit down on the stool next to them.

Then, she and Li Qiu walked out of the room silently and closed the door.

Lin Shu and Li Qiu looked at each other, both with relieved expressions.

They went to the main room. Han Shan and Han Xin were inside.

When they heard Li Qiu say that Aunt Liang knew about Han Yan's situation, they all looked at them worriedly.

"Mom, are you okay?" Han Xin asked.

"It's okay." Li Qiu replied.

Han Shan and Han Xin finally breathed a sigh of relief.

After a while, Lin Shu heard Aunt Liang calling them, and hurried in with Li Qiu.

Lin Shu noticed that Aunt Liang's eyes were red, as if she had just cried.

Lin Shu nodded to Han Yan, then he and Li Qiu helped Aunt Liang back to the room.

"Are you okay?" Lin Shu returned to Han Yan's room and saw him sitting on the edge of the bed, looking more fragile than ever.

Han Yan extended a hand toward her.

Lin Shu couldn't help but walk over and put his hand in his.

Han Yan took her hand and asked her to come closer, then stretched out his hands and gently wrapped them around her waist, resting his head gently on her waist and abdomen.

Lin Shu's body stiffened at first, then relaxed.

Lin Shu pursed his lips, placed his hand on his head and gently stroked his hair.

After an unknown amount of time, Han Yan raised his head in this position, looked at Lin Shu, and said in a muffled voice, "Thank you."

Lin Shu looked down at his deep eyes and slightly red eye sockets and jokingly said, "This is the one thousand and first thank you you've said to me."

After saying that, she started laughing herself.

Han Yan raised the corners of his mouth slightly and stared at her deeply, his eyes as gentle as water, gently surrounding her.

Lin Shu was stunned and immediately put his hands over his eyes to block his sight.

"What's the matter?" Han Yan asked in a puzzled tone.

"Nothing... nothing." Lin Shu coughed lightly. She wouldn't admit it. His expression just now was too much to ask for. She was a serious little fairy.

"Let me see your legs." Lin Shu quickly changed the subject.

Han Yan hummed softly, let go of her hand obediently, and followed her closely with his eyes.
