Their eyes all fell on Lin Shu lying on the bed.
Lin Shu, who was still sitting on the bed, felt his scalp tingling and quickly jumped off the bed.
Although I knew they couldn't see me, I still felt uncomfortable.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Lin Shu smiled bitterly. He thought he would bump into someone, but he didn't know that he couldn't touch anyone at all now.
She stood beside Han Yan cautiously.
"Family members of the patient Lin Shu?" an older doctor asked, opening a notebook.
"Yes, Lin Shu's husband, Han Yan." Han Yan replied.
The doctor flipped through a few pages of the notebook and looked at it for a while before saying, "Are you sure your wife was knocked unconscious by a car and then sent to the hospital?"
Han Yan's coldness instantly emanated from him, but he quickly retracted it: "Yes, I was there at the time."
Lin Shu was puzzled. Why was it like interrogating a criminal?
"Uncle Zheng, he's lying!" One of the younger-looking doctors suddenly shouted, his voice a little excited.
What's wrong with this doctor? Lin Shu looked at him carefully.
His face was completely covered by a mask.
But Lin Shu would not mistake this voice, these eyes.
The young doctor in front of her was Dr. Zhang’s grandson Zheng Jun, whom she met when she and Dr. Zhang went to the hospital for an exchange meeting.
"Xiaojun." The doctor who asked the question, known as Uncle Zheng, called out.
Zheng Jun glared at Han Yan: "But——"
"Shut up." Dr. Zheng said in an unhappy tone, with a warning in his voice.
Lin Shu looked at Zheng Jun, then at Doctor Zheng.
It is obvious that the two people have a close relationship.
However, why was Zheng Jun so excited about whether she was hit by a car?
The only connection is Zhou Qianqian's mother who was arrested for hitting her with a car.
"Doctor Zheng, please ask this doctor to leave." Han Yan stared at Zheng Jun with cold eyes.
"Why?" Zheng Jun shouted.
Han Yan ignored him and looked at Dr. Zheng.
Doctor Zheng paused and said, "Xiaojun, go out."
"I won't go out." Zheng Jun said excitedly.
"go out!"
"I don't. It was obviously him who lied and caused Aunt Zhou to be—"
"Shut up!" Doctor Zheng interrupted him angrily, "Get out now!"
"I, I..." Zheng Jun seemed frightened. He glanced at Dr. Zheng and walked out of the ward with drooping shoulders.
The other doctors looked at each other.
Sure enough, Lin Shu guessed correctly. Zheng Jun was doing this for Zhou Qianqian's mother.
So, the question Dr. Zheng just asked...
Doctor Zheng let out a long breath and turned to look at Han Yan: "Sorry, Comrade Han Yan, let's continue."
"Yeah." Han Yan had a blank expression on his face, and no emotion could be seen.
Lin Shu thought that Han Yan must have guessed the relationship between them.
"Comrade Han Yan, are you sure that your wife Lin Shu was hit by a car?" Dr. Zheng asked the same question again.
Lin Shu frowned.
Han Yan stared at Dr. Zheng for a few seconds.
"Doctor Zheng," he said in a deep voice, "you should tell me about my wife's physical condition, not..."
The two looked at each other silently, and the atmosphere in the ward became tense.
Doctor Zheng looked away first. He smiled wryly, "Comrade Han Yan, don't be nervous. We are just trying to better understand your wife's condition."
"Right, right, right." A doctor beside him wiped his forehead. "We're asking this because we haven't found any problems with your wife."
"Yeah, I got hit by a car but I wasn't hurt at all."
"There are no internal injuries, not even any skin injuries or bruises."
“Being healthy is incredible.”
The other doctors echoed one after another.
Lin Shu looked at himself lying on the bed in surprise.
Her skin is fair with a healthy glow, her face is rosy, and her lips are slightly upturned, as if she is having a sweet dream.
It certainly doesn't look like a patient who was hit by a car and admitted to the hospital unconscious.
She looked at Han Yan.
Han Yan looked at "her" lying on the bed with tender eyes, seemingly not surprised at all by her condition.
"Then tell me, why is she unconscious now?" His tone was flat and it was impossible to tell whether he was happy or angry.
But Lin Shu still felt his suppressed anger.
"This..." Several doctors looked at each other.
Finally, they looked at Dr. Zheng who remained silent.
Dr. Zheng glanced at Han Yan and immediately shifted his gaze.
He coughed lightly and said in a deep voice, "I'm sorry, we can't answer this question either. We suggest you transfer your wife to a hospital specializing in brain medicine."
Han Yan remained silent.
"You guys go out." After a while, Han Yan said without turning his head.
Doctor Zheng choked, his face turning pale and red: "Hmph, you don't know what's good for you." Then he left angrily.
Several doctors looked at each other and hurriedly chased after him.
Han Yan closed his eyes, his jawline tense.
Lin Shu walked over to him and looked at him worriedly: "Han Yan..."
After a long while, Han Yan's expression returned to calm. He walked to the bedside and leaned over to get closer to "her" who was lying on the bed.
Lin Shu walked over curiously. What did he want to do?
Han Yan kissed "her" lips.
Lin Shu's eyes widened, his face flushed. He, he...
"Shu'er." A trace of sadness flashed in Han Yan's eyes.
Lin Shu couldn't help feeling sad.
"Where are you? Are you still there..."
I wasn't there, Lin Shu naturally understood what he meant.
She pursed her lips and didn't say anything, because it was useless to say it.
