Chapter 107: Meeting My Cousin

Li Erhe wanted to invite Ye Hanhan to his home for a banquet, but Ye Hanhan really hated seeing Ye Yong and Liu Yan, so he made an excuse that he had to go to the county town to do some business.

Seeing this, Li Erhe no longer insisted and just told Ye Hanhan to have a good rest at home.

Although they did not invite the entire team to the wedding, they still gave the members half a day off as usual so that everyone could have a good rest at home.

Ye Xuanhan was about to go home and lie down on the bed for a nap, but was stopped by Qian Lanlan who came to his house.

"Xianhan, are you going to the county town? Today is the 15th."

Ye Xuanhan was slightly stunned, then he realized that today was already September 15th and Qian Lanlan had to drive her tractor to the county town for maintenance.

"Go, go, go, save yourself from the hassle at home."

"I thought so too," Qian Lanlan said with a blink.

When we arrived at the entrance of the village, there were already a few people waiting there, no more, no less, exactly five.

...

...

This time there was no arguing. Everyone got on the tractor in an orderly manner and headed towards the county town.

When we arrived at the county town, everyone got off the bus one by one and went about their own business.

Ye Xuanhan was the last one to get off the bus. She planned to stroll around the county town, have a meal at a state-owned restaurant, and bring some food for Qian Lanlan.

The county town is large and she has only been here a few times, so she is not very familiar with the roads here.

This is also one of the reasons why Ye Hanhan decided to go out for a walk.

As I was walking, I suddenly noticed a long queue in the distance, and I had no idea what it was doing.

Ye Xuanhan was a little curious, so he stepped forward and took a closer look.

It turned out to be a movie theater with several movie posters on the wall.

Ye Xuanhan was not interested in watching movies. His mobile phone in the space stored tens of thousands of movies, but the movies in this cinema were boring.

Just as I was about to turn around and leave, I heard someone calling my name from behind.

"Ye Hanhan?"

Ye Hanhan subconsciously turned her head and saw a girl standing in the middle of the team, calling her name.

She went over it in her mind but couldn't remember who the girl was.

The girl waved, then turned around and said a few words to her companions behind her, then ran towards Ye Hanhan.

"Ye Han, don't you remember me?"

"Who are you?"

Ye Han scratched his head and realized that he indeed had no memory of the girl.

Could this person be Daya’s friend or classmate?

"Oh, girl, I haven't seen you for a few years. You look strange." The girl patted Ye Han's arm gently, "I am your cousin."

"Cousin?" Ye Han asked.

"I'm your aunt's eldest daughter, don't you remember?"

Ye Han looked at the girl's features carefully, and finally remembered her.

The girl is Zeng Li’s eldest daughter Tang Ying, who is two years older than Ye Han.

There was no grudge between her and Daya, and it could even be said that they were not familiar with each other. At most, they had met once or twice when they were young.

The main reason is that Daya had little contact with Zeng Li’s family when she was a child.

Speaking of Zeng Li, Ye Hanhan recalled the last time he diagnosed Zeng Li with heart disease, and he didn't know whether she had gone to the hospital.

So Ye Hanhan thought of a euphemism and asked, "Cousin, my aunt seems to have some health problems. She accidentally fainted at our house last time. Did she go to the hospital when she got home?"

"Yes," Tang Ying said with a smile, "I just wanted to tell you about this. My mother has been looking worried for the past few days. When I asked her, I found out that she was really feeling unwell. She has now been sent to the hospital."

"That's good."

Ye Hanhan nodded.

Saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda.

Although she didn't like her aunt Zeng Li very much, she didn't want to see a living person die in front of her.

"Xianhan, thank you so much for helping my mom. She told me everything. If it weren't for you, her heart disease would have gotten worse."

"That's really a good thing," Ye Hanhan felt a sense of accomplishment.

"Xianhan, I'm sorry. I have to apologize to you on behalf of my mother," Tang Ying said with a guilty look on her face.

After her mother came home from Ye Xuanhan's place, she started to tell her about Ye Xuanhan's faults, saying that he was ungrateful, heartless, and a jinx.

Tang Ying was a smart person. She saw that something was wrong and quickly got the truth out of Zeng Li.

If it weren't for Ye Xuanhan, she wouldn't have discovered that her mother had a heart disease.

"It's okay, cousin, as long as my aunt doesn't come to our house to provoke me, I usually won't care."

Ye Xuanhan didn’t say the second half of the sentence.

If Zeng Li really dared to come to his house and beat and scold him, Ye Han would not show mercy even if she was a heart patient.

She had never met her cousin Tang Ying before. When they met today, Ye Hanhan discovered that her personality was completely different from her mother Zeng Li.

Zeng Li is narrow-minded, rash and brainless, but Tang Ying is a smart and generous girl.

But think about it, it is not impossible. After all, a bad bamboo can produce good bamboo shoots, not to mention a human being.

Ye Xuanhan has a good impression of Tang Ying.

But she still remembered to go for a walk on the street, so she prepared to leave.

"Cousin, I'm going to go walk around in front. You can watch the movie. It will be your turn soon."

"Okay," Tang Ying waved her hand, "You go ahead and take a look. By the way, Han, when our factory has a holiday in two days, I will go to your team to find you. You saved my mother's life, and I really have to thank you."

When Ye Han heard that Tang Ying was coming to his house, he did not refuse.

"Okay," Ye Hanhan agreed readily.

After walking for a while, Ye Han found himself at the alley where he met the man with hypoglycemia last time.

It seems like there is a black market in there?

Ye Xuanhan thought about this and felt a little curious.

Just as she was looking at the alley carefully, someone patted her shoulder gently from behind.

"It's not safe here, little girl."

Ye Xuanhan was so frightened that he almost lost his soul.

When I turned around, I saw the uncle I met last time standing behind me.

"Uncle, what a coincidence."

Is this uncle a frequent visitor to the black market?

How about we meet each other every time!

Ye Han was a little surprised, but after looking at the uncle's thin body, he began to understand a little.

This uncle probably wanted to try his luck on the black market to see if he could buy refined flour or other fine grains because his family was not getting enough food.

Sun Mingde looked at Ye Hanhan with a kind expression, as if he was just an ordinary person.

"My dear, you left in such a hurry last time that I didn't even know how to address you."

"My name is Ye Hanhan."

Ye Xuanhan said his name openly.

Anyway, it was okay to expose your identity information in the 1970s. Even if the other party knew it, they would not be able to return it to you.

"My name is Sun Mingde, you can just call me Uncle Sun."
