Chapter 134 Typhoon

Li Shunzi felt so weak in his heart. He knew he couldn't hide it from Shen Anan, but he didn't dare to say it directly, for fear of causing more trouble: "It's really no one else, I was just careless!"

Shen Anan glanced at Li Shunzi, knowing in her heart that this man was holding back his anger, but the sky was covered with dark clouds, the wind was getting stronger, and it looked like a heavy rain was about to pour down. She didn't want to waste time here with Li Shunzi, and she didn't want to get drenched in the rain.

"Come on, Li Shunzi, do whatever you want. I don't have time to waste with you." Shen Anan threw down a sentence in a bad mood, turned around and prepared to leave.

Li Shunzi opened his mouth and seemed to want to say something, but Shen Anan no longer had the patience to listen. She knew that there was no good thing in arguing with Li Shunzi, so she might as well find a place to shelter from the rain.

Just then, a three-wheeled motorcycle came rumbling from a distance. Shen Anan's eyes lit up and he waved quickly.

The three-wheeled vehicle braked suddenly and stopped in front of her. Without saying a word, Shen Anan took a few steps over and jumped onto the vehicle.

"Hurry up, Master, look at the weather, the heavy rain is coming, let's go quickly!" Shen Anan urged.

The driver nodded, stepped on the accelerator, and the three-wheeled motorcycle wobbled towards the guesthouse.

The three-wheeled motorcycle was bumping on the bumpy dirt road. Shen Anan held the edge of the car tightly, letting the cold wind whistle in his ears. She looked at the sky which was becoming increasingly gloomy, feeling somewhat confused. The rain looked like it was going to be quite heavy!

After a while, the three-wheeled vehicle arrived at the door of the guesthouse. Shen Anan paid the money, jumped out of the car, thanked the driver, and ran inside quickly. As soon as she entered the door, the sound of crackling rain was heard outside, and the heavy rain came as expected.

The rain came quickly but went away slowly, dripping like God was pouring down all the rain that had accumulated for a year. Shen Anan stayed in the guesthouse for a night and a morning, listening to the endless rain outside, feeling very irritated. She had planned to go out for dinner, but now that plan was ruined.

"This rain comes at a perfect time." Shen Anan sat at the front desk, chatting with the eldest sister in the guesthouse.

The eldest sister is a warm-hearted person and a know-it-all in this area. She poured a cup of hot tea for Shen Anan and held a cup for herself, sitting behind the front desk: "That's right, we usually don't have much rain here, but this rain is rare. I don't know if it's a sign."

Shen Anan held the hot tea, feeling the temperature coming from the cup, and nodded slightly: “Yeah, the rain is strange, I always feel a little uneasy in my heart.”

The eldest sister glanced at Shen Anan and lowered her voice: "Don't disbelieve it, the older generation said that if the rain falls at the wrong time, nothing good will happen."

After hearing this, Shen Anan's heart skipped a beat. Although she was not superstitious, her elder sister's words still made her feel a little uneasy. She forced a smile and said, "Sister, please don't scare me. I'm timid."

The eldest sister waved her hand and said, "I'm just saying it. Don't take it too seriously. However, it's raining so hard that the roads in the village must be difficult to walk on. If you have anything to do, don't rush to do it today. Wait until the rain stops."

Shen Anan nodded, she knew that her elder sister was telling the truth.

I stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the rain curtain outside. I felt helpless. I had to go back to the front desk and continue chatting with the elder sister to pass the time.

The two chatted about everything from village gossip to this year's harvest, and time passed quickly. Although Shen Anan felt a little uneasy, she also understood that the rain was not something she could control, and there was no point in being anxious.

Shen Anan originally thought that no matter how heavy the rain was, it would stop by the next day, but God seemed to be against her. Not only did the rain not stop, but it got heavier and heavier, and the wind blew stronger and stronger.

She was in the guesthouse, listening to the whistling wind and crackling rain outside, and felt anxious for no reason. I walked to the window and looked out. I saw that the trees on the roadside were blown to and fro by the wind, and rain was hanging on the windows like curtains.

"Sister, why is the rain getting heavier?" Shen Anan turned to ask the sister at the front desk, with a hint of anxiety in her voice.

The eldest sister looked up outside, then looked at Shen Anan, sighed and said, "From the looks of it, it's probably a typhoon. Although typhoons are not common in our place, once they come, the rain and wind are incredible."

Shen Anan's heart skipped a beat when she heard this. She knew how powerful the typhoon was, and it was no joke. She asked worriedly, "When will this typhoon pass?"

The eldest sister shook her head and said, "It's hard to say. Typhoons come quickly and go away slowly. We can only wait patiently."

Shen Anan sighed helplessly, and had to go back to the front desk and continue chatting with the eldest sister to pass the time. But she had a bad feeling in her heart...

The next afternoon, the typhoon finally left.

Shen Anan walked on the muddy road and came to Wangjiazhuang with a heavy heart. All she could hear were the villagers' wails, sounds filled with despair and helplessness. All the crops in the fields were gone, the whole place was in a mess, and the villagers' hopes were also swept away.

She went straight to Uncle Shen's house. As soon as she entered, she saw Uncle Shen and his wife sitting on the edge of the kang, with sad looks on their faces. There was a big hole in the roof, and when the wind blew, it was very cold, and the house was a mess.

"Uncle, this roof..." Shen Anan pointed at the hole, feeling anxious.

Uncle Shen sighed and shook his head: "Hey, girl, this typhoon has destroyed everything. The food is gone, and the roof is blown off. What can we do?!"

Looking at Uncle Shen’s sad face, I felt bad. She knew that food was the lifeblood of Uncle Shen, and now that it was all gone, one could imagine how he felt.

"Uncle, don't worry, we will always find a way..." Shen Anan comforted her, but she herself was unsure.

Grandpa Shen's wife wiped the tears from her eyes and said, "An An, how can God be so blind?"

Hearing this, Shen Anan sighed. She knew that anything she said at this time would seem pale and powerless.

However, she still couldn't bear to see the big hole on the roof of Grandpa Shen's house, so she rolled up her sleeves and prepared to go up to the roof to help repair it.

Uncle Shen quickly stopped her and waved his hand: "An An, you can't do this. You are a girl, how can you do such rough work? Besides, it's windy on the roof, it's dangerous."

However, Shen Anan insisted, and Uncle Shen's wife came over to persuade him: "Good boy, it's enough that you have this intention. We can repair the roof ourselves, so don't worry about it!"

Seeing that Mr. and Mrs. Shen were determined, Shen Anan had to give up. She also knew that Mr. and Mrs. Shen were strong-willed people and did not want to cause trouble for herself.

As he was speaking, there was a sudden commotion outside.
