Chapter 169: Mr. Zombie Released

March 1st is the release day of "Mr. Vampire".

At night, in a cinema in Anle, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.

That evening, Zhang Qiurui, Li Shaohong, Hu Mei and Chen Jiaying went to the cinema to watch the movie "Mr. Vampire" directed by Li Shaohong.

Look at the attendance and the audience feedback.

The four of them sat down quietly, the lights in the theater dimmed, and the opening credits of "Mr. Vampire" slowly appeared on the big screen, accompanied by a tense and slightly weird background music, officially kicking off the movie.

At the beginning of the movie, Taoist Simu drove the corpses to Uncle Jiu's charity cemetery. When the voice-over was eerie and terrifying, the camera turned and a row of zombies suddenly appeared. This shot scared the audience.

Then Qiu Sheng pretended to be a ghost and played the role of a zombie to scare Wencai. A stick of incense was inserted into the side of the coffin. As the terrifying background music sounded, the incense was instantly pulled out, the coffin lid suddenly popped up, and a zombie jumped out.

The audience watching the movie were so scared that they jumped and the timid ones even screamed out loud. While their hearts were beating like drums, their eyes were involuntarily attracted by the terrifying scenes.

As the plot gradually deepens, Old Master Ren moves the coffin, a female ghost appears, and Old Master Ren turns into a zombie. The ink line bounces on the coffin but not on the bottom of the coffin. This scene makes the tense atmosphere in the theater escalate again, and the audience's breathing seems to stagnate.

As a result, the zombies were released from the cage and bit Mr. Ren, and Uncle Jiu was locked up in a cell. Captain Awei's series of funny and tense plots made the theater burst into laughter and exclamations from time to time.

Especially when Wencai took Ren Tingting to hide from Old Master Ren, they hid in the wardrobe, holding a bamboo tube to breathe in and out, so as to avoid being chased by zombies. The audience couldn't help but hold their breath when watching this scene.

Seeing Wencai trembling with fear because of the zombies, and the bamboo tube in his hand accidentally knocked away by the zombies, leaving a circle of red marks on his mouth, the audience was extremely amused, worried, and scared.

As the plot progresses, ink lines, talismans, and peach wood swords, these traditional ghost-exorcising props shine on the screen.

Even after the movie ended and the theater lights came back on, many people were still feeling a lingering fear.

"This movie is really scary, but it's also really good, exciting, and funny."

"This movie is really exciting and scary. I'm going to watch it again tomorrow and ask my friends to watch it with me."

"There was another show late at night, so I watched it again and went home. Although it scared my heart so much, the thrill was really great!"

"No wonder Director Zhang said that you have to bring someone to watch Mr. Vampire at night. I really don't dare go home alone after watching it."

"I came here alone. On my way home, I had to pass through an alley. There were no lights there, and it was dark. I didn't dare go back."

"Director Zhang's scripts never disappoint."

"Don't you see who Director Zhang is? She's the best director at the Berlin Film Festival, the best director at Cannes, and she was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars. How could the script she wrote be bad?"

After the movie ended, the audience's discussions were endless, full of praise and aftertaste for the movie "Mr. Vampire".

Some people were sharing the thrilling moments in the movie, while others were discussing the hilarious scenes. Everyone's face was filled with excitement and satisfaction.

........。

"Sorry, I bumped into you. Are you okay?" After watching a movie, Zhang Qiurui went to the public toilet in the shopping mall to relieve his physiological needs. When turning a corner, he accidentally bumped into a hurried man.

The man was not tall and was rather thin, with a three-dimensional face. The most striking feature was his hooked nose, but he still had some baby fat on his face, which made him look less masculine and more childish.

He was wearing a simple white T-shirt, dark jeans, and a pair of sneakers, and looked like he was in a hurry to go back.

"Ahua, hurry up, the dormitory is about to close and you won't be able to go back then." Not far away, a young man shouted anxiously to the person who bumped into Zhang Qiurui.

"I'm sorry! Are you okay?" The man who hit the person looked at Zhang Qiurui and seemed to think she looked familiar. Although he was anxious to go back, he had hit someone and it was not easy for him to just leave. While apologizing, he asked politely.

"It's okay, you can go!" Zhang Qiurui smiled and waved his hand.

"Then I'm leaving."

"It's him!" Zhang Qiurui smiled as he looked at the man's back as he left.

Should I call you Liu Furong now, or...

In 1980, he was training at the Artist Training Class of Hong Kong Television Broadcasting Co., Ltd. The following year, he was admitted to the 10th Artist Training Class of Hong Kong TVB, thus starting his acting career.

I didn't expect to meet you so soon.

........。

"Ahua, hurry up and leave. What's wrong with you? Did you get scared after watching that zombie movie? You look listless."

"Nothing serious. I just bumped into a girl in the restroom. I thought she looked familiar." Liu Dehua said thoughtfully.

"You're not saying you're familiar with this girl because she's pretty?"

"It felt so familiar. I must have seen it on TV." Liu Dehua recalled with a slight frown.

"It's okay if I can't remember. If she's pretty, she should be like us, in the artist training class, maybe a TVB trainee."

"No, I remember. She is Director Zhang Qiurui, the one who won the Best Director Award at Cannes and Berlin and was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars." Liu Dehua remembered. He excitedly patted his companion's shoulder, then looked behind him. When he could no longer see Zhang Qiurui, he felt like he had missed out.
