Grandma Sun pointed at Lan Yuchu and teased, "I heard you're very protective of your wife. Your aunt works in the same place as your mother, and she complains that you're always clinging to your wife, as if you're afraid she'll get lost!"
Lin Qiyue lowered her head shyly.
"Grandma, that's not true." Lan Yuchu didn't seem to mind the old lady's teasing, but when he glanced back at his wife, his face instantly turned red.
Sun Ru immediately chimed in, "That's right. Your mother said that as soon as you came back, you took your wife shopping for clothes and watches, and cooked for her every day. But she didn't even give her a single gift. She said, 'You've forgotten your mother after you got married.'"
After listening, Lin Qiyue didn't feel like she was being scolded; she just felt a little embarrassed.
Lan Yuchu never even considered buying a gift for his mother; he was a grown man.
"I didn't buy my wife a gift either," he explained awkwardly, scratching his head.
Grandma Sun smiled and noticed that Lin Qiyue was a little afraid of her, so her expression softened and she looked kind.
He took Lin Qiyue's hand and made them sit down, saying with emotion, "Child, you must be tired from the journey."
"Not tired."
She wasn't tired at all; she didn't walk here. Lan Yuchu brought her.
"Too thin! Xiao Chu, you need to be more considerate of your wife. Look at this beautiful girl, she's so pale and thin, she'll suffer a lot during childbirth!"
As he spoke, he couldn't help but glance at Lin Qiyue's bottom. Looking at her small frame, he couldn't help but blame Lan Yuchu.

Grandma Sun understood her daughter's meaning and quickly nodded in agreement, saying, "That's true!" Then she hurriedly instructed Sun Ru, "Stay for dinner. Ru'er, go and buy some vegetables and plenty of meat so the child can get some nourishment."
"No need to trouble Grandma, Yu Chu is very good to me, and I've been taking care of my health lately," Lin Qiyue quickly explained.
