Chapter 41 Slacking off on the way back

"Xiaoxiao, slow down, don't fall!" Lin Qiyue said worriedly.

Fearing that Li Xiaoxiao would get too tired carrying the small bucket by herself, I helped her carry it.

Returning to the stream they had just seen, Lan Yuchu and Li Xiaoxiao went to catch fish in the water, leaving their clothes for Lin Qiyue to hold.

The two men bent down to look at the little fish underwater, watching it hide under the rocks, and then picked up the rocks in their hands and smashed them down hard.

The little fish was stunned by being squeezed and smashed by the stones, and floated directly to the surface of the water.

Lan Yuchu even caught fish with his bare hands, and also caught crabs and small shrimp in the mountains.

"Brother Yu Chu is so amazing~"

"Wow, it's an eel!"

Wow, so many shrimp and crabs!

Li Xiaoxiao was thrilled. She had returned with a full load of goodies. On the way back, she kept glancing at Lan Yuchu. She was filled with curiosity and admiration for this brother from the city.

She was quiet when she arrived, but she just liked following them.

On the way back, they talked non-stop, sharing their happy moments.

Lan Yuchu and Lin Qiyue both responded gently to Li Xiaoxiao's words.

When I got home, I saw that the third son of the Li family had returned.

"Third Brother, I'm back!" Li Xiaoxiao saw her third brother return from his exams, and she walked in briskly, running up to him to show off.

As Lin Qiyue and Lan Yuchu entered, they saw a tall, thin young man wearing a white, yellowish short-sleeved shirt.

There was a moment of silence when the group made eye contact.

"Is the exam over?" Lan Yuchu asked first.

Li Qu realized what was happening, awkwardly clutching the hem of his clothes with his hands and nodding, "I just got back. I finished my exam this morning and came back this afternoon after cleaning."

It's four o'clock now. He came back and saw there was still food in the kitchen, probably left for him by his family, so he ate some.

He knew that guests were coming to his house today, so he became nervous.

"Kid, don't you remember me?" In Lin Qiyue's memory, Li Qu was a mischievous boy.

When Lin Qiyue was little, she loved playing with this little brother the most, and she would share all the fun things and delicious food with him.

Li Qu is two and a half years younger than Lin Qiyue, so he should be eighteen years old now.

He has just graduated from high school and now has no chance to go to university because there are no recommended places.

He might stay in the village or become a teacher at the school.

However, there aren't many schools, so the number of teachers they can recruit is likely limited.
