Chapter 244 Her Brothers Win Her Heart

"I can't tell at all. Sigh, I wonder if she thinks I'm in her way again," Song Hengjue said gloomily, with a hint of resentment. "She doesn't even bother to coax me. It's because I'm not as popular with her as the other brothers outside..."

Amidst the accusations, Yang Qingheng almost thought she was some heartless scumbag. She affectionately pinched the tip of his nose and chuckled, "Still putting on an act here? Should I build you a theater?"

Song Hengjue snorted coldly: "You're always changing the subject."

Yang Qingheng was amused by his flustered appearance, shook her head, reached out and pulled open another suitcase next to her, took out a large stack of clothes, and was about to hang them in the wardrobe.

Song Hengjue was initially sulking with her, but when he saw what she was holding, his expression changed abruptly. He snatched it away and haphazardly stuffed it into his suitcase, trying to cover up the truth: "Didn't you say you weren't well-rested? Go and rest now. I'll take care of things here."

Song Hengjue probably had no idea how unfocused his gaze was, but Yang Qingheng could tell at a glance that something was wrong with him.

"What is this? Let me see." She squinted, scrutinizing him.

Song Hengjue realized he had overreacted, so he coughed and pretended to be calm, though his heart was practically leaping out of his throat: "Aren't these all your clothes? Don't you know that? Go and rest. Look at you, with those dark circles under your eyes. Anyone who didn't know better would think you were a panda spirit."

"Then you pack your things properly, I'm going back to sleep." Yang Qingheng nodded, as if she had been persuaded, and turned to walk outside.

Before Song Hengjue could even catch her breath, she suddenly turned around and unexpectedly pulled out the stack of clothes from the suitcase. After seeing them clearly, she was both annoyed and amused: "Song Hengjue, are you crazy? Why did you steal other people's clothes?"

And judging from his expression, he didn't seem to be unaware at all!

Song Hengjue was feeling guilty, but when he heard Yang Qingheng say that it was stolen, he became indignant and retorted, "You bought it for me in the first place, so what's wrong with me taking it back? How can you call something between lovers stealing?"

He hadn't even complained about Tang Bainian taking his clothes and wearing them for so long; how generous he was.

Song Hengjue was furious when he thought about how Tang Bainian had shamelessly kept him in the dark for so long, making him completely fooled.

Although he disliked the clothes Tang Bainian had worn, he would rather throw them away than let that shameless Tang Bainian wear them.

"When did I say it was for you..." Yang Qingheng subconsciously retorted, something flashed through her mind, but she suddenly stopped, almost biting her tongue.

It's clear what's going on; Song Hengjue thinks the clothes were bought for him!

When Yang Qingheng recalled that Song Hengjue had been wearing the same sweater in front of her every day since that day, she inexplicably felt a little guilty.

She had originally planned to buy a few items for both him and Tang Bainian, but Tang Bainian came over after she finished picking out items for him, so she didn't get to buy any for Song Hengjue.

Strictly speaking, this dress was actually bought by her for Tang Bainian.

But she dared not say it aloud.

Thinking of Tang Bainian's expression after discovering his clothes were missing, I was so embarrassed that I wanted to dig my toes into the ground and almost wanted to crawl into a hole.

Why hasn't the Earth exploded yet?!

He gritted his teeth and shoved Song Hengjue's shoulder: "You better find someone to send it back right away, I can't afford to lose face like that."

The dignified boss of Boxiang stole someone else's clothes. How embarrassing would that sound if word got out? She didn't want to lose face with him.

“I won’t return it. I’ll have Fang Nan buy him a new one.” Song Hengjue felt a tightness in his chest at the thought of Tang Bainian wearing the clothes Yang Qingheng bought for him, and he refused to budge.

Yang Qingheng remained silent, and in the end, she did not force Song Hengjue to send it back.

Ever since she learned of Tang Bainian's feelings for her, she'd felt uneasy, especially if Tang Bainian were to appear before her again wearing clothes she'd bought...

Yang Qingheng shuddered and dared not think any further.

New is better, new is better, and the new style looks even better.

She finally convinced herself, gave Song Hengjue some instructions, and went back to her room. As she passed the mirror, she glanced at it and was shocked by what she saw.

Song Hengjue's words were absolutely true. Even she herself was frightened by the two huge dark circles under her eyes. Calling her a panda spirit wouldn't be an exaggeration.

A few days ago, I was busy helping Tang Bainian find connections to turn public opinion around. Last night, I was pestered and messed around by Song Hengjue all night. It's no wonder I look haggard.

He quickly rolled onto the bed to catch up on sleep.

Perhaps because Song Hengjue was going back to Hai Province the day after tomorrow, he stopped going to the company and wanted to be by her side 24 hours a day. Yang Qingheng was so bothered that she couldn't even go to work. She simply told Sun Rong and the others that she planned to rest at home until Song Hengjue returned to Hai Province before going back to work.

"How did you find a place like this?" Yang Qingheng asked in surprise, looking at the restaurant in front of her.

She passed by here every day and often ate with her business partners here, but she never noticed that there was such a shop at the end of the street. It looked quite large and had a lot of customers.

Song Hengjue squeezed her fingers, gave the waiter a few instructions, and then said, "I get off work late tonight, and all the shops around are closed. I've been here once before, and I didn't expect the food to be so good. I heard it used to be a state-owned restaurant, and the chefs there are all quite good."

Upon hearing that it was a state-run restaurant, Yang Qingheng raised an eyebrow and glanced around. Sure enough, many of the people there were men and women in their forties and fifties.

I guess they came with a bit of nostalgia in mind.

Unlike other restaurants, this one didn't have private rooms. Knowing she preferred quiet, Song Hengjue found a table in a corner and sat down.

He was right, the food here was really good. Yang Qingheng even ate half a bowl more rice than usual today. After he paid, she was satisfied and headed out, thinking about shopping at the mall and buying some clothes for Song Hengjue.

Unlike Beijing, it's still spring here, but it's already summer there. Long-sleeved shirts are no longer suitable for him, so we need to bring him some short-sleeved shirts back.

She had only taken two steps outside when she heard a familiar voice: "Qingheng? What are you doing here?"

Yang Qingheng froze, instinctively shaking off Song Hengjue's hand, somewhat at a loss: "Mom and Dad, I've come to eat."
