"You're the one who's crazy, you're crazy every day!" Yang Qingheng said angrily, continuing to walk forward.
If it weren't for the fear that Yang Cheng would come back and cause her trouble, who the hell would care how she got back? And she's still ungrateful, a cold-hearted, heartless ingrate as always.
Song Hengjue had a headache, so he ran over, grabbed her arm, and lifted her into the back seat.
Yang Qingheng struggled a few times but couldn't break free, so she simply stopped struggling and sat obediently in the back seat.
She knew Song Hengjue's character perfectly well. If he liked someone, he would divorce her immediately. Although he was a bit of a smart aleck, he wasn't the type to cheat.
Otherwise, she would have stormed into the classroom and started a fight with him at noon today. The reason she feels uncomfortable right now is entirely because of the look he gave her at noon. Yang Qingheng knows that she is using this as an excuse to vent, but she just can't control the grievances in her heart.
He was the one who stole the bride, so why should he be able to walk away without a second thought after she falls for him?
The next day was the weekend, and Yang Qingheng breathed a huge sigh of relief.
She did attend adult college in her previous life, but that was more than a decade ago, and she had long forgotten most of the knowledge. Moreover, the adult college she attended didn't teach physics or chemistry, so picking up knowledge from decades ago now would be extremely difficult.
She felt exhausted after just one day of studying and needed to take a break.
Remembering that last month's profits were still in Liu Qing's hands, she was still a little uneasy, so she simply went to the neighboring village to find Sister Sun and went to Dahe Village together, intending to distribute the money first, and also to tell Liu Qing that Second Master Xu had agreed to their cooperation, and that they could set up a stall in the black market normally tomorrow.
"Excuse me, is this Liu Qing's house?" Yang Qingheng entered the village and asked two people before finally finding a small courtyard at the end of the village.
The yard was very tidy, even the firewood was stacked neatly, which suited Liu Qing's personality.
As soon as the words fell, Liu Qing hurriedly came out from inside: "I was just thinking of going to look for you, and here you are, what a coincidence."
But Yang Qingheng wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but she felt that Liu Qing's smile was a little stiff and she didn't seem that happy.
"What a coincidence! Let's go inside and talk." She closed the courtyard gate behind her and pulled Sister-in-law Sun's arm to walk inside.
There was only an old woman in the inner room, probably Liu Qing's mother-in-law. She was clearly taken aback when she saw them come in, and her gaze unconsciously darted away. Yang Qingheng became even more certain that Liu Qing was hiding something from her.
"We only have boiled water at home, I apologize for not being hospitable enough." The old lady poured them two glasses of water and then went back to her room with great tact.
Yang Qingheng nodded, but didn't drink the water. Seeing Liu Qing quietly pick up a package from the corner to go back to her room, she chuckled and said, "Sister Liu, you just said you were going out to find us, so this must contain the profits. Let's split it now, I have things to do later."
Liu Qing froze, clutching the package tightly.
Yang Qingheng's eyes were deep and unfathomable: "Sister Liu, what's wrong?"
Sister-in-law Sun also sensed something was wrong and turned to look at Liu Qing.
Under their gazes, Liu Qing finally gave in, obediently took the package, and reluctantly opened it.
Yang Qingheng looked closely and saw that there was not only a bag of money and tickets inside, but also several sets of clothes. Liu Qing didn't want to go find them at all; she clearly wanted to run away with the money. If they had come any later, they probably wouldn't have seen her at all.
Yang Qingheng laughed in anger: "Sister Liu, we trusted you so much, and this is how you repay our trust?"
Liu Qing's lips trembled a few times, but in the end, she couldn't say anything. She covered her face in shame, and tears streamed uncontrollably through her fingers.
"Qingheng, I have no choice, I'm sorry, I really have no other way..."
Yang Qingheng's brow twitched, somewhat speechless.
She hadn't even said anything yet, so why was she crying? Besides, Liu Qing isn't usually the type to cry easily.
It was hard not to suspect that this person was playing the victim.
"Xu Qi, come back!" came the old lady's anxious voice from inside the room. Suddenly, a child ran out and buried his head in Liu Qing's arms, his dark eyes staring straight at them with full of vigilance.
Yang Qingheng was taken aback. His hair was an unhealthy yellowish-brown, and his face was sallow and thin, making his eyes appear even larger, which inexplicably reminded people of a little monkey on the mountain.
Remembering that when they were at the hospital last time, Sister-in-law Sun said that Liu Qing had brought her child to see a doctor, she turned to her and gave her a look: What's going on?
Sister-in-law Sun couldn't bear it and whispered, "I asked the doctor last time, and he said it was congenital heart disease. He needs to go to Beijing for treatment. His father died from overwork trying to raise money for his treatment."
Yang Qingheng's heart skipped a beat. She couldn't help but pinch her brow and look at Liu Qing: "So you did this to treat his illness? You could have just told me directly. Do I look that cold? Would I be unwilling to lend you money to save his life?"
Liu Qing was startled. She looked up, her eyes still red: "You really want to lend me money?"
"Take out seven hundred for next month's payment, and consider the rest a loan to you. Take your child to see a doctor as soon as possible." Yang Qingheng snatched the package, counted out Sun's sister-in-law's three hundred-plus yuan salary without saying a word, and stuffed the rest back into her package.
Liu Qing's eyes welled up with tears, and her knees buckled as she was about to kneel down before her: "Qing Heng, thank you. I thank you on behalf of my child. Don't worry, I will definitely pay you back this money. I will pay you back every penny, even if I have to sell my blood."
Yang Qingheng was startled and quickly helped her up.
"Why are you saying this? I trust you. Hurry up and take the child to the capital for treatment. When we come back, we can work together again."
