Chapter 46 Pregnant?

Fang Nan felt it wasn't appropriate for the young couple to stay, especially since the clinic didn't have beds for accompanying family members.

"Then I'll be going now, sister-in-law." He said goodbye and walked outside.

Soon it was their turn, and Yang Qingheng helped Song Hengjue walk inside.

"You have a stomach problem, and it's quite serious. You need to take good care of it. You'll need to be hospitalized for observation for a day, and you can be discharged tomorrow if you're fine." The doctor frowned, looking at Song Hengjue with a reproachful gaze.

Yang Qingheng took the prescription and nodded honestly, "Doctor, don't worry, I will definitely keep a close eye on him from now on." She glared at Song Hengjue, went to the pharmacy to get the medicine for him, and then helped him to the ward.

Song Hengjue was unusually quiet today, and Yang Qingheng almost felt like she was leading him from her past life. She felt much more comfortable looking at him.

If only poison could make one mute.

Yang Qingheng sighed.

As soon as Song Hengjue sat down on the hospital bed, he inexplicably felt a chill run down his spine and looked around at his surroundings with a strange expression.

"I'll go buy some porridge for you. Lie down for a while, and drink some hot water if you're not feeling well," Yang Qingheng instructed, taking her bag and heading outside.

"Your wife is so good to you." The nurse couldn't help but chuckle as she watched Yang Qingheng's retreating figure.

She was startled when she saw the big man; she never expected this girl to dare to rush up. She was too reckless.

"Hmm." Song Hengjue responded, his dark eyes lowered, seemingly lost in thought.

Yang Qingheng had just left the ward when she asked two nurses for directions and finally found the canteen. She then carried two boxes of porridge back home.

A baby's cry suddenly echoed through the quiet corridor. Yang Qingheng paused, staring intently at the direction of the delivery room, a strange feeling welling up inside her.

The road wasn't leading back to the ward, but her feet seemed rooted to the spot; she couldn't move an inch no matter how hard she tried.

"Comrade, which mother's family member are you?" A nurse noticed her strange expression and stepped forward to ask.

Yang Qingheng suddenly snapped out of her daze, broke out in a cold sweat, and ran towards the ward with her lunchbox in her arms.

"It's like seeing a ghost." Song Hengjue turned his head, lifted the covers, and got out of bed.

Yang Qingheng, unusually, didn't argue with him today. She reached out, opened the lunchbox, and handed it to him, saying, "It's too late. The hospital only has plain porridge left. Have some first."

Then, without waiting for him to drink or not, she took the toiletries she had just bought and went out.

After Song Hengjue finished using the toilet, he came in and saw the woman lying quietly by the bed, her fair face distorted by the pressure, sleeping soundly, showing no trace of her usual fierce and aggressive demeanor.

He sighed, pulled back the covers, and dragged her by the waist, throwing her onto the bed.

Yang Qingheng opened her eyes groggily, glanced at his face with her misty eyes, and then closed them again, not taking his rudeness to heart.

The next morning, as soon as the two stepped out of the clinic, Yang Qingheng saw a familiar figure not far away. Her eyes flashed, and a hint of curiosity appeared in them.

"Wait here for a moment, I'm going in to get something." She said to Song Hengjue, and before he could react, she dashed inside.

Huo Xiuxiu was stunned for a moment after hearing what the doctor said, then angrily burst out, "What kind of quack are you? How could I possibly..."

Feeling that everyone around her was looking at her, she glared at the doctor and ran outside as if fleeing.

Is she pregnant?

Yang Qingheng was surprised and followed closely behind.

Sure enough, a short while later, Huo Xiuxiu sneaked into the obstetrics and gynecology department.
