Chapter 83 Song Hengjue Suspects Rebirth

He was trying to evoke some fond memories between the couple.

Unexpectedly, when Yang Qingheng heard the words "rabbit meat," she felt nauseous and almost vomited on the spot.

He immediately closed the lunchbox and gave a fake smile: "I finished eating before I came. I'm not hungry anymore. Let's leave it for Qiqi. She's pregnant, so let's give her something to eat to help her recover."

Song Hengjue gazed at her intently, not wanting to miss a single expression: "You used to love to eat, so even if you're full, you can still try some of this. I made it especially for you."

Unsolicited kindness is either a sign of ulterior motives or theft!

Yang Qingheng suddenly became wary. If Yao Ying hadn't been there, she would have loved to smash the lunchbox in Song Hengjue's face: "If you can't eat, forcing yourself to eat will only upset your stomach. If you want to eat, you can eat it yourself."

He stood up and said, "I have something to do, I'll be leaving for a bit."

Song Hengjue frowned, staring at her retreating figure with increasingly deep eyes.

Seeing that her daughter-in-law was no longer accepting her son's attempts to please her, Yao Ying felt disappointed. Looking at her son, who was still sitting there dumbfounded, she gave him a hard whack: "You idiot, why don't you go and coax your wife?"

How could she have given birth to such a thing?

Thinking about Yang Qingheng's reaction, Song Hengjue stood up and said, "I'll go out and take a look."

As soon as Yang Qingheng rushed into the bathroom, she couldn't help but vomit violently, her face turning deathly pale and her eyes filled with tears.

He wished he could rush in and stab Song Hengjue right now.

With so much meat, why did he have to cook rabbit meat to disgust people?

Thinking of the gruesome sight of a skinned rabbit covered in blood, Yang Qingheng turned pale and vomited violently again, so violently that she almost threw up her stomach.

The bathroom doorbell rang.

A cool voice came through the crack in the door: "Yang Qingheng, are you alright?"

Yang Qingheng almost laughed out of anger. She wiped her face, took a couple of breaths, opened the door, crossed her arms, and looked down at him: "You've chased me all the way to the bathroom. What's the matter?"

Song Hengjue narrowed his eyes, carefully examining her pale face: "You were fine just now, how come you suddenly feel unwell? Should we go to the clinic to see a doctor?"

"You know perfectly well why I'm like this." Yang Qingheng grabbed his collar, her handsome face looming closer.

Song Hengjue felt suffocated, forced to tilt his head back and look straight into her deep eyes. The guesses in his mind grew wildly like vines on the seabed, and his heart finally skipped a beat.

Could it be...?

He opened his mouth, but after a long pause, a sound finally escaped his lips, hoarse with nervousness: "Why do you hate rabbits? Is it because you...?"

"Why? Because..." The man's expression, which had been cracking, was no longer as repulsive as before. Yang Qingheng sneered inwardly, a hint of malice rising within her. She blinked, leaned close to his ear, and said innocently, "You're pregnant."

Song Hengjue's expression changed drastically.

Yang Qingheng shoved him hard, making him stumble, laughing so hard that tears welled up in her eyes: "Song Hengjue, you don't really think I'll have your child, do you? You're so easy to fool. What makes you think I'll have your child?"

Having successfully witnessed the man's face turn ashen from the mockery, Yang Qingheng felt refreshed. She slowly and deliberately dried every finger, coldly tossed the tissue at his chest, opened the door, and strode out.

Upon entering the ward, Yao Ying immediately saw through the emotions on Qing Heng's face and felt uneasy: "Qing Heng, who has offended you?"

Yang Qingheng lowered her brows to suppress the emotions in her eyes, shook her head and pretended to be helpless: "There are too many people in the toilet at this time. I finally got to the front of the line and someone cut in line."

"Oh dear, there are still such rude people in this big hospital." The old lady slapped her thigh and spat out.

Yang Qingheng covered her mouth and chuckled: "Don't talk about people who have no manners. I saw a dog that was indiscriminately breeding at the hospital just a few days ago."

He glanced at Song Hengjue, who had just entered, his eyes filled with even more mockery and ridicule.

The old lady was confused and thought that there really was such a dog that had offended her daughter-in-law's eyes. She was disgusted and said, "Who is so immoral? It's one thing to not leash a dog, but to let it into the hospital to embarrass people. If it bites someone, that's really immoral. If this were in our countryside, we would definitely have to neuter it."
