Chapter 86 Black Market Meeting, the Disguise Can No Longer Be Hidden

"Are you going to the guesthouse for a nap? I can give you a ride there." Tang Bainian gently clenched his fist in his pocket, turning his head to look at her casually.

Yang Qingheng shook her head. She was already embarrassed enough by the mother and son who had made things difficult for her in the ward earlier, so she didn't want to trouble him any further. She quickly refused, "No need. I'll just take a nap in the ward later, so I don't have to make another trip this afternoon."

Tang Bainian frowned: "Then I'll head back first. If you need anything, just call me."

On a whim, I made a joke: "My aunt said you haven't come to visit in a long time. If you have something to do, come over more often, so she won't nag me every day. My ears are getting calloused."

Yang Qingheng chuckled: "Tell your aunt that I'll go see her in a while."

Tang Bainian opened the car door.

Yang Qingheng was stunned, and stretched out her hand: "Wait."

She took out a handkerchief and wiped his collar, then spread it out for him to see: "Where did you go just now? There's a whole bunch of spider webs here."

The woman's face suddenly loomed large, and Tang Bainian's brain exploded with a sound, his language system going haywire.

"Pig... huh? Pig?" Realizing what had happened, her face turned bright red, and she almost slapped herself across the face.

What utter nonsense is he spouting?

Yang Qingheng sighed and said, "Go back quickly. It will be difficult for you to drive when the employees get off work and there are many people on the road."

Tang Bainian blushed and jumped into the car, too embarrassed to meet her gaze, and ran away as if his life depended on it.

All their interactions were observed by the man behind them.

"We can't even see the back of the car anymore, but we still don't want to go back."

Yang Qingheng chuckled: "It's good-looking, I like it."

Song Hengjue frowned, looked at her carefully, and realized that she didn't seem to be joking: "It's just half a collarbone showing, and you're staring so intently? Can't you have some self-respect?"

She's both lustful and brainless; who else would a man lie to if not her?

Yang Qingheng pursed her lips, not even deigning to give him a second glance: "He's my future boyfriend, what's wrong with me taking a look? Unlike you, I'd be disgusted even if you stood naked in front of me."

She pinched her nose and took two steps back, her disgusted look at the virus was completely different from her gentleness towards Tang Bainian.

Song Hengjue felt like he had a fly stuck in his throat, both angry and nauseous, but he couldn't utter a single syllable. After a long while, he managed to squeeze out a few words through his teeth: "Mom said it's hot outside and wants you to go back quickly."

~~~~~~
When Tang Bainian opened the door, Zhou Shuwen and her husband had just put the food on the table.
"I couldn't see him this morning. When he came back, he was all smiles, like he'd taken a magic pill. Where did he go?" The usually composed nephew suddenly broke into a smile, and the uncle shrugged, feeling uncomfortable all over.
Tang Bainian coughed lightly, his fist pressed against his lips: "I heard a few days ago that Aunt Yao was sick, so I went to the hospital to see her."
"Tang Bainian, I'm warning you, our family is all upright and honest. You'd better not do anything that people will talk about behind your back, or you'll be in big trouble." Uncle's brows furrowed deeply.
He's been through this age himself; how could he not know what this brat is thinking?
Yang Qingheng is a good girl, but that doesn't mean he agrees to this scoundrel sticking up to her before she's divorced. Isn't that being a mistress?
Tang Bainian gave him a strange look: "Am I the kind of person who doesn't know his place?"
"You'd better do that," the uncle sneered.
"Alright, you should say less. Bainian knows what he's doing," Zhou Shuwen glared at her husband and reached out to press Tang Bainian down to sit at the table. "Never mind your uncle, eat."
Tang Bainian shrugged off her hand and strode upstairs, his voice carrying from afar: "You guys eat first, don't wait for me."
Zhou Shuwen's hand was still raised in mid-air, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looked at her husband: "He dislikes me? Do I have a needle in my hand?"
My uncle took a sip of soup, his expression subtle and hard to describe: "You don't have it on your hands, but he does have it on his clothes."
"They're being so strange." Zhou Shuwen ignored the two odd men and sat down to eat.
Hospital.
Watching Yang Qingheng's departing figure, Song Hengjue's expression went blank for a moment, and that strange sense of unease crept into his mind again.
Something's not right. This woman is acting very strangely.
Aside from Yang Qingheng having memories of her past life, he couldn't think of any way to make her suddenly disappointed in Gu Yi, even though the two of them had been entangled for almost seven or eight years in their previous life.
But if Yang Qingheng is reborn, why does she insist on being with him? In his last life, this cold-hearted woman held a knife to his throat and forced him to divorce her. Wouldn't his divorce be giving her what she wanted?
Song Hengjue had a splitting headache and desperately needed a way to test Yang Qingheng.
"What's wrong with you looking so worried?" The ward door opened from the inside, and Master Xu looked at him strangely.
Song Hengjue snapped out of his daze, composed himself, and stood up: "You've come all this way, let me treat you to a meal?"
Master Xu shook his head, took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth, then paused for a second, remembering that he was in a hospital, and put it back.
“I think the old lady is recovering very well, she’s full of energy. She just said that she would introduce me to a wife once she’s recovered.”
Master Xu chuckled as he recalled the look of disdain on the old lady's face when she learned he was over thirty and still unmarried.
The old lady really enjoys playing matchmaker, but unfortunately she doesn't know that her own son is about to get a divorce, otherwise she would be so angry she would jump up and down.
Song Hengjue received his watchful gaze, and he knew exactly what he was thinking, but he pretended not to see it: "That's just how my mom talks, she's bored, just listen to a few of her words."
Master Xu waved his hand and headed outside: "I didn't take it to heart. I have some things to do in the city today. I'll come to see the old lady another day."
Without waiting for Song Hengjue to nod, he strode outside.
Yang Qingheng ran into Master Xu as soon as she entered the hospital. She was surprised for a moment, hesitated for a few seconds, and then quickly stepped forward: "Comrade Xu, what are you doing here?"
Master Xu was also surprised to see her. He pointed in the direction of the corridor and said, "A friend of mine has a family member who is sick, so I came to visit. But you, are you sick too?"
"No, not at all," Yang Qingheng shook her head, not wanting to say more, and quickly changed the subject, "When is the meeting you mentioned last time? I'll arrange the time accordingly."
Master Xu slapped his forehead: "I was just about to come looking for you. How about tomorrow morning?"
"Around ten in the morning, I guess." Yang Qingheng nodded. She had finished breakfast with Yao Ying before heading out.
Master Xu readily agreed: "I'll have my R&D team talk to you personally, so you two can get to know each other and become friends."
For some inexplicable reason, he always felt that the two of them could have a good conversation.
