Chapter 240: Revealing the Truth About Marriage to Song Hengjue

"Get away." Song Hengjue said coldly, grabbing her arm and trying to pull her to the ground.

Yang Qingheng frowned, her long legs tightly clamping around his strong waist, her palms pressing against his neck, and her savage kisses rampaging and plundering his mouth.

Song Hengjue's tongue suddenly trembled, and the sweet, rusty taste spread between their lips and tongues. The woman in front of him was like a fierce little beast, without reason, and seemed to be taking over his possession.

Ownership...

Song Hengjue realized that this thought had popped into his head. His fingers, which were pinching her slender waist, trembled with excitement. All the blood in his body rushed to his brain. He pressed his hip against her soft flesh, forcefully pressing himself against her in front of him, kissing her until her face was flushed and her breath was disordered before he slightly loosened his lips and tongue.

"You're not angry anymore, hmm?" Yang Qingheng tremblingly kissed the tip of his handsome nose, her cool fingertips touching the bone at the corner of his eye, massaging and rubbing it, like soothing, but more like flirting, the itchiness and tingling sensation shooting up into Song Hengjue's heart.

In the darkness, Yang Qingheng couldn't see the man's expression, only hear his warm, rapid breathing and see a pair of deep, dark eyes filled with tears in front of her.

"You only believe him."

A sad male voice sounded in her ear. Yang Qingheng could even imagine Song Hengjue's red eyes, looking aggrieved and angry in the darkness. Her heart softened completely. She gently rubbed her warm lips against his cheek, coaxing him like a child: "I was blinded by greed. I actually doubted you. I'm the worst and stupidest idiot in the world. I'll believe whatever you say from now on. Don't be angry anymore, okay?"

Song Hengjue stared blankly into the darkness before him. He knew that his life was probably over.

From the moment the woman appeared at the door, all the resentment that had accumulated over the past few days seemed to be shattered by a hammer. He almost despaired, thinking that her coming meant that he did have some place in her heart.

He could accept that she didn't love him as much, and he could even accept all her distrust and misunderstandings.

God knows how much he's been suffering these past few days. Whether he closes his eyes or opens them, she's still there. The thought that they'll never have another chance together drives him crazy with sadness.

At this moment, he finally faced his own heart.

Rather than saying he was angry that Yang Qingheng didn't trust him these past few days, it would be more accurate to say he was terrified that he would have to treat her like a stranger in the future.

So he deliberately arranged to meet Miss Xu on her usual route.

Yang Qingheng had no idea that today, in the coffee shop, even if she said just one word to him, all his pretense would crumble.

So the moment the woman apologized, the ruins in his heart suddenly rose into skyscrapers. His Adam's apple bobbed, and his hoarse voice sounded like a plea: "Yang Qingheng, I know he's more important to you, but please like me a little more too, just a little. I won't ask for more."

He could accept that Tang Bainian occupied a larger place in her heart, as long as she didn't leave him.

Yang Qingheng's breath hitched, guilt weighed heavily on her heart, and she said, almost as if making a vow, word by word, "Song Hengjue, I don't like anyone else, I only like you."

She took his hand and placed it over his heart, where it was pounding wildly. The pounding reached Song Hengjue's fingertips, causing his heartbeat to become erratic as well.

Seeing that he didn't believe her, Yang Qingheng found it amusing and finally told him about her agreement and relationship with Tang Bainian.

"You mean, you and Tang Bainian were just playing around? You..." Fireworks suddenly exploded in her mind, and Song Hengjue was so happy that she almost fainted.

Yang Qingheng nodded and whispered in his ear, "I divorced him today."

We're divorced! We're divorced!!

Song Hengjue was really going to die at her hands today. He couldn't vent his excitement and desperately needed to do something to soothe his overwhelmed emotions. He kicked open the door, pushed her onto the bed, and almost savagely tore at her skirt without any patience.

Before she could even pull her skirt open, a burning kiss was already imprinted on her collarbone through the thin fabric, making Yang Qingheng's lower body tense and her toes clench.

Yang Qingheng felt that Song Hengjue had a pitiful air about him today, and she couldn't bear to push him away, letting him do whatever he wanted. She didn't even stop him when he accidentally bit her and hurt her.

However, her feelings of pity and affection quickly vanished under Song Hengjue's recklessness.

The lights had been turned on at some point, revealing the decadent scene. On Song Hengjue's well-defined fingers was a silver ring, pressed against the bluish-purple veins, exuding a wild yet inexplicably sexy aura. The freshly applied silver threads gave the ring a misty glow, and the intense visual impact made Yang Qingheng so ashamed that she almost cried out.

Her knees pressed weakly against his forearm, and she frantically grabbed the back of his hand: "The ring is cold, don't use this hand."

Song Hengjue had this in mind, but he wouldn't have it his way, and the veins on the back of his hand suddenly bulged.

Yang Qingheng trembled, her mind going blank.

…………

When Yang Qingheng opened her eyes again, it was already noon the next day. The curtains were thoughtfully drawn, preventing the scorching sunlight from shining in. There was a water glass on the bedside table, which she touched and found was still warm.

She suddenly sat up, and before she could even sit up straight, she had already poured a mouthful of warm water into her mouth, finally quenching her thirst.

"You're awake?" Almost at the same moment, Song Hengjue pushed open the door, still wearing an apron around his neck, probably because he heard her voice and rushed in.

Yang Qingheng was sore all over, and seeing his smug look annoyed her.

Last night, when she asked him to stop, he acted as if he were deaf. His domineering attitude almost made her think she wouldn't wake up today.

I drank water with my eyes downcast, too annoyed to speak.
