Chapter 98 Slap

The old lady, who had just recovered from a serious illness, was acting like she had taken a superpower today, clinging tightly to him and refusing to let go.

I was already cursing him out in my mind.

Tang Bainian is shameless. Before his son and daughter-in-law got divorced, he at least knew how to put on an act in front of her. Now he completely doesn't care anymore!

"If you don't see a doctor, how will you know what kind of medicine you lost? You'll be even less likely to find it later."

Tang Bainian was uneasy, but the old lady had just recovered from a serious illness, and he dared not upset her.

He knew perfectly well what status the old lady held in Yang Qingheng's eyes. If the old lady were to get seriously ill from anger today, he was afraid that there would be no possibility for him and Yang Qingheng in this lifetime.

Helpless: "Fine, let me go first, and I'll confidently look for it for you."

I grabbed the flashlight from the table and actually crawled under the bed.

This sincere attitude made the old lady feel inexplicably guilty. She glanced around and squatted down, pretending to search with him.

“My hand slipped just now and it suddenly disappeared. I guess it didn’t fall far. Let’s look for it together.”

Outside the door.

Yang Qingheng strode ahead, while Song Hengjue followed behind her at a leisurely pace, until they finally arrived at the stairwell.

"What do you want to say?" Song Hengjue stopped, his tone unusually patient, probably because they were divorced and would never have any contact again.

Yang Qingheng turned around, her clear black and white eyes staring at him, dark and deep, as cold as if she were looking at a dead person.

Song Hengjue finally couldn't stand the silence any longer and frowned: "What exactly are you...?"

"Slap!" A slap broke the silence of the stairwell.

Song Hengjue's mind went blank for a moment. Touching his numb cheek, he laughed in exasperation: "Yang Qingheng, did you come here to go crazy today?"

"No, I've come today to return a message to you."

"What?" Song Hengjue was stunned.

"The biggest mistake I ever made in my life was being with you. If I could do it all over again, I would rather go to hell."

Yang Qingheng's expression was terrifyingly calm as she spoke each word clearly.

Yao Ying waited for a long time but didn't see Yang Qingheng return. Instead, she saw her son come in with a handprint on his head. She was so anxious that she stomped her feet and grabbed his hand tightly: "You foul mouth, what did you say again? I gave you a chance but you didn't know how to seize it!"

"What can I say?" Song Hengjue was slapped again for no reason, and his mood was already not good. Now that he heard his mother rush over and scold him, his mood plummeted to the bottom. "If you really like her, you can recognize her as your goddaughter. She doesn't look down on you. You two can live together, and maybe you can even become in-laws with Aunt Zhou."

Yao Ying's eyelids drooped, and after a moment of silence, she sighed: "Hengjue, Mom has to be honest with you today."

"What?" Song Hengjue had never seen his mother with such a serious expression before. He immediately sat up straight, held his breath, and listened intently.

“I was afraid you would feel inferior, so I never told you.” Yao Ying wiped away her tears.

Song Hengjue was shocked: "...What disability?"

Yao Ying jumped up and slapped him on the head: "You brat, I was so busy making you proud that I forgot you had a mouth! You good-for-nothing, get out! I don't want to see you again today!"

The old lady had worked in the fields for many years, and her strength was greater than that of an adult man. Song Hengjue was really hurt this time. He covered his head and couldn't say a complete sentence for a long time.

While Yao Ying was furious, the atmosphere in the Zhou family was indeed extremely pleasant.

As soon as Yang Qingheng jumped out of the car, Zhou Shuwen, who was in the living room, dropped the fruit plate and rushed out: "I told you that the sound of the skeleton in the car meant that Bai Nian and Qingheng had returned, but your uncle wouldn't believe me, saying that it was impossible for the two of you to come back so early."

Yang Qingheng gave her uncle a polite smile.

Her aunt put her arm around her shoulder and pulled her inside, saying, "You're back just in time. The food has just been served. Eat first, and you can have the soup later."

"I'm such a big, living person, yet I have absolutely no presence," Tang Bainian followed.

His uncle looked him up and down and sneered, "Presence? In this family, you're the sixth oldest."

As for who the top five are, they are naturally Yang Qingheng, Zhou Shuwen, their son, him, and Xiao Xuan.

When Yang Qingheng heard her uncle mocking Tang Bainian, she couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Xiao Xuan was the wild cow cat they encountered on their second meeting. Tang Bainian didn't know why, but he brought the little thing home. Zhou Shuwen also said that if it weren't for this cat, he wouldn't have come back alive. It was his benefactor, so they decided to keep it at home.

As soon as she entered the door, the little thing came pattering over, and when it got close, it pounced and punched her in the foot.

Yang Qingheng gasped, "You little coal ball!" She pretended to suck hard on its belly, making the coal ball bar its teeth.

"Qingheng, this is a white fungus soup that your uncle specially made for you. He finally managed to finish all these things, and you look so thin. Eat more." Zhou Shuwen said warmly, afraid that she would feel neglected.

"Why bring up something you shouldn't talk about!" Uncle noticed Yang Qingheng's silence, glared at his wife, and then smiled at Yang Qingheng, "Qingheng has been reborn. You'll have plenty of choices from now on. Such a good day should be celebrated."

Auntie quickly realized, "Yes, yes, yes, we should celebrate."

"Thank you so much, Aunt Zhou, for taking care of me all this time. Otherwise, I wouldn't know where I would be right now," Yang Qingheng said gratefully, hugging Zhou Shuwen tightly.

Zhou Shuwen chuckled and patted her back, saying, "You silly child, don't be so formal."

The uncle noticed his nephew giving him a wink, and quickly put down his chopsticks to agree: "Yes, we're family now, Qingheng, just treat it like your own home."
