Chapter 171 The Welcome of the Little Ones
"What happened?" After seeing the little guy's appearance clearly, Lin Xia was so scared that her eyes went dark and she spoke in an anxious tone.
Lin Xia walked up to the little guy and checked him anxiously, thinking to herself, "Don't worry, don't worry." Just then, Wang Guilan heard the noise and came out, "Sister-in-law Guilan, bring some water."
Wang Guilan quickly agreed and turned back into the house.
"Auntie Lin, An An was bumped into." Da Jun said timidly.
I don’t know when Da Jun and a few other children came. When Da Jun came forward, the other children hid at the gate of the yard and peeked, not daring to come forward.
The little guy found his mother and didn’t cry as hard anymore. He just sobbed pitifully, his little body trembling.
"The water is here." Wang Guilan came over with a basin, and Lin Xia didn't have time to ask Da Jun what was going on.
She took the basin and wiped the little girl's face. Her hands were covered in blood. Just as she was about to wash her hands, she saw the little girl clenched her fists. Lin Xia opened them and saw a small baby tooth inside.
"Baby, open your mouth and let mommy see." Lin Xia felt relieved and wanted to see what was in her mouth.
An An obediently opened her mouth, which was still stained with blood. It was obvious that a piece of her lower front tooth was missing. Considering that she was already five years old and was about to start changing her teeth, Lin Xia felt relieved. She just hoped that she was not being bullied.
"Does it still hurt? It's okay, baby, it's just time to change teeth. If they fall out, they will grow again." Lin Xia brought a cup and let the little guy rinse his mouth until the bleeding stopped, and then cleaned the tooth.
There was some fear on the little guy's face. He always wanted to touch it with his hands, but he was afraid of pain and didn't dare to. His big eyes were filled with tears and the area around his eyes was red from crying. He looked so pitiful.
"Is it steamed?" The little guy said this and then covered his mouth, wanting to cry again.
Lin Xia tried not to laugh in her heart. It might be because she was missing a front tooth, so there was a slight leak in her speech, and it sounded a little unclear.
"It's true, you can't touch it. Your hands are dirty and it won't heal well if you touch it." Lin Xia stopped her. Seeing that she no longer touched the gap with her hands, she felt relieved. It would be troublesome if the wound got infected and inflamed.
Lin Xia looked at Da Jun, wanting to know the details of the situation. "Da Jun, can you tell me what happened?"
Upon hearing this, Da Jun bravely told them what had happened. It turned out that when the little guy went out to play with them, a group of children were playing the game "Eagle Catches Chicken". After the little guy joined in, he bumped into the child in front of him while hiding from the eagle.
The little guy didn't react at first, but when he spat out his teeth and saw the blood, he was so scared that he started crying and ran home with blood on his face. Da Jun and the others followed him.
The other children didn't dare to come in because they were afraid that Lin Xia would be angry and blame them. A similar thing had happened before, and they were scolded by the child's grandmother and not allowed to play together.
"Thank you, Dajun, it's okay. An An is just starting to change her teeth." Lin Xia felt relieved when she saw that it was not a fight or bullying of An An.
There was no dust on the little guy's body, and he was just crying. It seemed that he accidentally hit his teeth while playing, causing his teeth to change prematurely. Fortunately, it was not a tooth that had already been replaced.
"Let them come in and play together. I'll get you something delicious." Lin Xia looked at the children outside the yard who were afraid to come in, and said to the army.
Da Jun was stunned. He didn't expect Lin Xia to believe what he said and to make delicious food for them. He happily ran out to inform other children.
A group of children were sitting in a row under the porch. Lin Xia went into the house and gave them the coconut cakes that she had made yesterday. She also took out some dried fish and put them in a basket for them to eat.
The little guy's teeth don't hurt anymore, and he eats with other children, but his posture is awkward and he is afraid to bite with his teeth. You can still see traces of crying around his eyes.
Lin Xia felt much more relieved. She had never raised a child before, and the scene just now really scared her.
"Where is that tooth, Mom?" The little fellow came running in and suddenly asked about the previous tooth.
"What's wrong?" Lin Xia handed her the cleaned little tooth.
"They said they wanted to take a look." The little guy was no longer worried or sad, and began to be curious about what his teeth looked like.
I gave the tooth to the little one and followed her out to see what they did.
Several children gathered together, discussing teeth curiously, and opened their mouths to show others.
Lin Xia was watching with interest. Seeing that some children were interested in teeth, she walked up to them and asked, "Do you want to know why teeth fall out?"
It immediately attracted the attention of several people, and the expectant little faces in front of him were full of curiosity and desire for knowledge.
Lin Xia moved a stool and sat down, smiling and saying, "Everyone grows twenty teeth when they are young, but when they are five or six years old, they will be replaced with better and harder teeth."
When the group of children heard the number of twenty teeth, they opened their mouths wide and stretched out their fingers to touch. Fortunately, they had washed their hands before eating.
The little girl then realized that she was not the only one with missing teeth. Almost all children over five or six years old had missing teeth. This was a common problem, so An An was not so sad, because she was not the only ugly one after all.
Taking advantage of their interest, Lin Xia gave them a detailed introduction on how to protect their teeth. Nowadays, adults are busy working and children are basically left alone. It is common for them not to take a bath, let alone such a small thing as brushing their teeth.
"So you must brush your teeth well, otherwise your teeth will become ugly and smelly."
When most of the children heard that it was ugly and smelly, they showed expressions of disgust on their faces.
"Auntie Lin, my dad sometimes doesn't brush his teeth!" Shitou raised his hand and said he had a problem. He didn't want to brush his teeth.
"Then go home and take a look at your father's teeth. If he doesn't brush his teeth, he will become like that in the future." Lin Xia looked at Shi Tou who betrayed his father, hoping that he would not be spanked when he returned home.
"Me too! Me too!"
"I'll go back and take a look."
After hearing this, the children looked excited as if they had received an adventure mission.
Soon it was time for lunch and the children went home one after another. The little one put away the tooth carefully and prepared to wait for Lu Yuxiu to come home and help her lose the tooth.
My mother said that I should throw the lower teeth towards the roof, which means they can grow out. Unfortunately, their house is a two-story building, and she is too short to throw them up.
"Come and have dinner soon. Dad will be back in the afternoon." Seeing the little guy looking towards the gate of the yard frequently, Lin Xia shouted.
After hearing this, An An ate with some disappointment. After the meal, Lin Xia took her to rest as usual.
"Dad, you're back!"
On this day, as soon as the men in the family quarters returned home, they were warmly welcomed by their children at home, which made the fathers confused. Some of them even looked outside the door to see which direction the sun was setting.
I have never seen children shouting like this before. Usually when they come home from school, these kids would call "Mom" all the time, but today they actually called "Dad".
When the fathers heard the shout, some were happy, while others looked alert as if their children had gotten into trouble.
"Tell me what you want to do, kid? Did you make your mother angry?" Shi Tou's father looked at his son vigilantly.
