Chapter 326: Tricking the Child
There was a strong wind outside, and the three of them sat together in the house chatting and drinking tea. Even a typhoon day didn't seem so scary.
"Boom~"
A loud thunderclap sounded, and the little ones ran over with panic on their faces, and threw themselves into their mothers' arms like a group of frightened quails.
Ningning's short legs slowed down her running, and in a hurry she threw herself into He Xiao's arms, burying her little head in his arms and rubbing her body against him. She covered her eyes and dared not look up, as if she would not be afraid if she could not see.
He Xiao looked at the little kid in his arms somewhat helplessly. It felt so soft and he could smell the fragrance of milk on it. He Xiao didn't dare to use too much strength with his hands and he felt a little dizzy.
After waiting for a long time, the thunder outside disappeared, and the group of little kids regained their energy and became lively again.
Ningning raised her head when she heard her brother and sister talking.
"Huh?" The little kid tilted his head. Isn't that his mother?
The little head was filled with confusion. He turned around and saw his mother next to him. A trace of embarrassment appeared on his little face. He ran back to Lin Xia's arms, and after a while he raised his head to peek at He Xiao.
Seeing this aunt looking at me and smiling sweetly, I felt a little embarrassed and avoided her sight.
He Xiao had been confused and had no sense of reality since she became pregnant, but now she suddenly felt that it was great to have such a chubby daughter.
I just don’t know what Zhou Zheng thinks about the gender of the child. He Xiao frowned slightly, and a hint of worry appeared in his eyes.
In the military camp, Lu Yuxiu looked outside worriedly. He could only see heavy rain and nothing else. He also had no idea how his wife and children were doing at home.
Song Yu and Zhou Zheng are also worried. In the past, when they were single, they had no idea what worrying about them was, no matter whether it was raining or slashing. Now that they have families and people they can't let go of, they have become weak points.
By the time they left the camp, the rain had stopped but the wind was still strong. Several people rushed home against the strong wind, their bodies dripping with wetness.
Song Yu ran back home and was relieved to see Han Wei staying in the house. "You weren't scared, were you?"
Han Wei saw that he was dripping with water all over his body, so she stepped forward and handed him a towel, "It's okay, Lin Xia sent me back and helped me pack before going back."
"Don't come over here. I'll go wash up first." Song Yu thought to himself after hearing this. Since Han Wei became pregnant, Lin Xia has been bothered a lot. Next time he goes to Guangzhou, he should buy something for the children.
Zhou Zheng hurried back home. When he entered the house, he saw that He Xiao was motionless. He called out in surprise, "Xiao Xiao."
"Xiaoxiao." After calling out several times but no one answered, Zhou Zheng looked around the room and the kitchen but couldn't find anyone, so he ran to Lin Xia's house.
"Brother Zheng!"
As soon as he entered the room, he heard a familiar voice calling him. He looked up and saw that it was He Xiao, whom he had been looking for for a long time. Seeing that she was fine, he was no longer anxious.
"See, I told you he would definitely come." Lin Xia saw Zhou Zheng coming and hit He Xiao with a smile.
He Xiao had just seen Lu Yuxiu come back, and was afraid that Zhou Zheng would be anxious because he couldn't find him, so he hurried home. Lin Xia looked at the wet mud road outside and hurriedly stopped him.
He Xiao's face turned slightly hot when she saw Zhou Zheng staring at her closely.
After Zhou Zheng thanked Lin Xia solemnly, he took He Xiao home.
"Come and drink this." Lin Xia turned around and saw Lu Yuxiu coming out of the shower. She immediately poured him a cup of boiled ginger soup and added brown sugar to neutralize the spicy taste of ginger.
Hearing his wife's concern, Lu Yuxiu silently walked over and drank the cup of tea with a strong ginger flavor.
"Dad, what are you drinking?" Lele wandered over to Lu Yuxiu, curious to see that his father was drinking, and asked in a small, cheerful voice.
Lu Yuxiu glanced at his son. After a long time, he knew what he wanted to say as soon as the little guy opened his mouth. This kid must be greedy.
"Dad, I want to drink." Ningning heard that there was food, and ran over to watch.
Looking at his cute daughter, Lu Yuxiu was silent. Seeing his daughter's eager look, he couldn't bear to refuse her.
Although brown sugar was added to the ginger soup, it still tasted very spicy. Lu Yuxiu hesitated whether to let the two of them taste it.
Lele smacked his lips greedily when he saw it. He tugged at the hem of his father's clothes, stretched out two little fingers, and gestured, "Daddy, let me have a taste, I'll have a little bit!"
Ningning was also acting coquettishly.
Lu Yuxiu: ...
When the child started to act coquettishly, his heart melted. Lu Yuxiu stretched out his hand and handed the teacup to the little guy's mouth, "You can only drink a little."
Seeing that his father agreed, Lele held the teacup with his little hands and buried his face in it. He took a small sip and his face immediately wrinkled from the spiciness.
"I want one too, I want one too." Ningning was standing in line, and when she saw her brother finished drinking, she couldn't wait to go forward.
Lu Yuxiu had no choice but to let her taste a little.
"Spicy!" Lele's face wrinkled because of the spiciness, and his little feet kept jumping on the spot.
Ningning was also moved to tears by the spicy taste.
"Do you still want to drink?" Lu Yuxiu finally understood why Lin Xia often played tricks on the children. There were three little foodies at home, especially the two little ones, who wanted to eat everything and try everything.
Lin Xia had long been worried that the two little ones would want to eat whatever they could get their hands on, and that it would be troublesome if they ate something they shouldn’t. So she often tricked the two little ones into trying something strange, just like now. The little guys were crying because of the spiciness, and after learning their lesson, they would never dare to eat anything carelessly again.
"Mom, it hurts." The two little guys had tears in their eyes because of the spicy smell, and they stuck out their little tongues to ask Lin Xia for help.
"Will you still eat it in the future?" The two of them cried until their eyelashes were wet. She felt distressed when she saw it, but she still had to take the opportunity to educate the child.
The two little ones shook their heads pitifully.
I will never drink the water my dad feeds me again!!
Lin Xia poured a cup of warm water and slowly fed it to the little guy.
An An shook his head, looked at his poor brother and sister, took a biscuit and whispered to comfort them: "Eat biscuits, biscuits are sweet."
After eating biscuits and drinking water, they both finally recovered.
After putting the child to sleep at night.
Lin Xia leaned in Lu Yuxiu's arms and counted the days on her fingers, "Twenty tickets to go home, so that I can stay at home until after the Lantern Festival."
"Yeah." Lu Yuxiu had no objection to the time of going back. He reached out and pulled the quilt. The temperature at night dropped a little.
"Why is it so cold this year?" Lin Xia pressed her legs against Lu Yuxiu's body to keep warm. It felt good to have someone warm the bed. Thinking of the three little ones next door, she said with some worry, "I wonder if the children have covered themselves with the quilts."
"I'll go check again." Lu Yuxiu paused as he turned off the light, then stood up and prepared to check on the child again.
Lu Yuxiu got up and came back soon after, "It's well covered, it should be fine."
Holding the warm Lu Yuxiu in her arms, Lin Xia slept well all night.
The next morning, it was still gloomy outside and there was no sign of sunshine, but fortunately it was not raining or windy.
Lin Xia went upstairs to wake the children up. The weather was so cold that even she didn't want to get angry in bed in the morning.
When they arrived in the room, the two little guys turned over and got up as soon as Lin Xia called out, but An An didn't move.
"Baby, wake up." Lin Xia saw An An not moving and felt something was wrong, so she went over to take a look.
