Chapter 328: Recovering from a Minor Illness
"Asleep." Lu Yuxiu reached out and touched An An's forehead to check the temperature.
Lin Xia leaned on the man's shoulder. With someone by her side, her anxious heart gradually calmed down.
Sensing her dependence, Lu Yuxiu reached out and hugged her. After thinking for a few seconds, he suddenly said, "I'm sorry."
Lin Xia looked up inexplicably, looking at his stern profile, not knowing why he suddenly said sorry.

"I'll go call Zhou Zheng." Lu Yuxiu turned around and went out after hearing that. Lin Xia poured hot water into the basin, which was better than nothing to cool down An An. The temperature couldn't be allowed to rise any further.
Fortunately, Zhou Zheng lived nearby, and he was prepared after seeing the doctor during the day, so he came quickly with a medical kit.
"It will take longer to take effect. If the body temperature is still very hot, wipe it more with warm water." Zhou Zheng put away the needle and looked up to remind Lu Yuxiu.
"Thank you." Lu Yuxiu reached out and patted Zhou Zheng's shoulder.
"Why are you being so polite to me?" Zhou Zheng packed up the medicine box and didn't even want Lu Yuxiu to send him off. "Go and see the child. Call me if anything else happens."

That night, Lin Xia and Lu Yuxiu stayed with An An until dawn. Fortunately, the temperature returned to normal at around four in the morning.
No matter you get an injection or take medicine for a cold, it takes time to get better, and you can only recover slowly.
"Cough cough...You can't be so close to me." An An coughed twice and pushed Le Le who was coming over. She had a cold and it was contagious, so she couldn't get close to her brother when she coughed.
When Lele had a cold in the past, her mother wouldn’t let them get close to her brother.

"Mom!" An An was afraid that her younger brother would be infected, so she ran to the side to hide.
Lele thought her sister was playing a game of chase with her, so she happily came over. Ningning also joined in, and the two of them chased after An An.
Suddenly, laughter of children could be heard from all over the room. Lin Xia was busy in the kitchen. She couldn't help but smile when she heard the laughter. She still liked the way children were when they were lively and naughty.
"Time for lunch!" Lin Xia brought out the dishes and saw three people circling the sofa.
"Mom, save me!" An An rushed out and ran towards Lin Xia as if he had seen a rescuer.
It was just one or two seconds after they stopped that An An was hugged by two little guys who had caught up with them. Seeing that they had caught their sister, the two little guys hugged An An tightly and refused to let go.
Lele and Ningning were all laughing and very happy.
"Come and have dinner!" Lin Xia didn't bother to deal with the issues between the children. An An's cold had gotten much better, but she still coughed occasionally.
The three of them played like this a few days ago. Seeing that Lele and Ningning didn't have a cold, Lin Xia didn't pay much attention to it. But An An was older and remembered the cold that Lin Xia had mentioned before, so she was afraid that Lele and Ningning would get infected if they got close to each other.
Lu Yuxiu was not at home at noon, so Lin Xia took the three little ones to eat. Because An An had not fully recovered yet and his stomach was weak due to the illness, the dishes he cooked were mainly light. But as he gradually got better, he would need to supplement with more nutritious foods such as protein.
Lin Xia mostly steams or blanchs fish and shrimp. The whole family eats this way, so An An no longer finds the food unpalatable. Not to mention the two little ones, who can even enjoy eating white steamed buns.
The Chinese New Year is just a few days away. After An An fell ill, Lin Xia and Lu Yuxiu discussed and decided not to go back home for the New Year this year. It is extremely cold in Beijing right now, and Lin Xia is afraid that the fatigue from the journey will make her illness worse.
Since she decided to stay on the island for the New Year, Lin Xia started preparing New Year's goods as she did in previous years.
Yang Hongmei was happy that Lin Xia stayed to celebrate the New Year, as it would be a lively occasion.
"How about we all have the New Year's Eve dinner together?" Lin Xia blurted out when she saw how happy she was and thought that Zhou Zheng and the others would not be going back home for the New Year.
Upon hearing this, Yang Hongmei immediately nodded in agreement, "I think it's okay!"
"Then each family can cook a few dishes and put them together for a table. What do you think?" Yang Hongmei suggested enthusiastically.
Although there are many children in the family, there is nothing to do after dinner. In the past, we had to endure it. But if we celebrate the New Year together, there will be many people around and we can chat and gossip all night long.
“I think so too. Then I can cook dishes from our hometown.” He Xiao said with a shy smile.
He Xiao also thought it was a good idea. It was impossible for her to go home for the New Year, and Zhou Zheng's parents couldn't come to the island.
