Chapter 397 Opening a Store
Yang Hongmei looked at Lin Xia in surprise, "Is it okay to open a store? Is this considered speculation? Will we be arrested?"
She had been brave enough to set up the stall before, thinking it was the same as going to the black market. As long as she was smart and ran fast, she would not be caught. But opening a shop was different. It was impossible for a person to run away and then abandon the shop.
Lin Xia agreed with Yang Hongmei's caution. If she agreed to it all at once, she would be a little worried about whether Yang Hongmei could run a good store.
"No, sister-in-law, when you go to Guangcheng, you will know how much it has changed." Lin Xia explained with a smile. Many stores have opened in Guangcheng in the past six months. There is no shortage of courageous people in any era. High returns and high risks are a pair of good brothers.
Yang Hongmei hesitated: "Then can I do it?"
Although she said she was a little hesitant, Yang Hongmei had already been moved. In the past six months when she was at home, she would often dream of counting the money after selling clothes at midnight. The money piled up one after another, which was really a sweet burden.
Yang Hongmei was so happy that she woke up in the middle of the night, always feeling that something was missing in her life.
Even gossiping in the family compound was boring. Yang Hongmei just felt it was boring listening to all the nonsense going on around her.
"Sister-in-law, you have to believe that you can do it. If you don't know how, we can learn together. This is also my first time opening a store, right?" Lin Xia encouraged.
This was really her first time to open a store and start a business. She was not afraid of losing and did not want to have any regrets in her life.
Seeing that she was already moved, Lin Xia stepped up her firepower: "The children are on summer vacation anyway, let them go to Guangcheng to play together."
Lele and a few others nearby had been secretly listening with their ears perked up. When they heard that they could go out and play, they were extremely happy.
Seeing Lele and the others jumping for joy, Yang Hongmei thought about how Da Jun and the others had never left the island, so she agreed.
So as soon as the children had their summer vacation, Lin Xia and Yang Hongmei took their six children to Guangcheng, where they strolled around looking for shops and got familiar with the area.
It took several days to finally decide on the shop. The decoration drawings drawn by Lin Xia herself were not very professional, but they were clear enough for the decoration workers to understand.
While Yang Hongmei was watching the shop decoration, Lin Xia went to Gaudi Street by herself.
Coming here again, the grand scene before my eyes, compared with the previous one, has begun to take shape of its heyday.
Even though there were a large number of voices calling for the rectification of social trends, the trend of young people pursuing new trends and fashions was ultimately not stifled.
The nature that has been suppressed for many years is finally liberated, and the desire for personal freedom cannot be suppressed.
There are more and more young people wearing "strange clothes" in society. Everywhere you can see a group of young people wearing flowered shirts and bell-bottom pants, with semi-long hair and frog-eye glasses, carrying radios and jumping around in the park.
Lin Xia still has some understanding of future fashion trends. After all, there is the Internet in later generations, so even if she doesn't go out of her way to learn about them, she can still see the trends of those times.
So Lin Xia strolled along Gaudi Street like a duck in water, and she already had an idea of what style of clothing to choose.
After Lin Xia selected other styles, she still felt unsatisfied and went straight to Gao Zhixin's clothing store.
"Boss, can you take the order and make it for me?" Lin Xia held in her hand the clothing draft she had drawn herself. Although she had never studied fashion design, she remembered which clothes had been popular.
It would not be difficult to draw this now. Lin Xia handed the draft to Gao Zhixin. He had a garment factory behind him. After much thought, Lin Xia felt that it would be most convenient to cooperate with him.
Gao Zhixin looked at the manuscript, and became more and more surprised. Finally, he looked at Lin Xia with wide eyes: "Have you learned it?"
Lin Xia smiled without saying anything, and looked at the boss with a faint smile, "Just tell me if you can do it for me?"
Seeing that she didn't answer, Gao Zhixin didn't care and looked again.
The weather in July and August is extremely hot, but the drawing shows a set of clothes, with bell-bottom pants underneath. However, the top looks quite exaggerated, and the bulging sleeves look a bit strong.
Gao Zhixin hesitated, "Are you sure this dress is okay?"
Lin Xia smiled and said seriously, "Six hundred sets."
If one piece of clothing requires 600 pieces, it would be a bit too few, but when added together it would be a lot. Gao Zhixin also had an idea in his mind.
After the deal was settled, Lin Xia felt relieved.
There was no chance for her to succeed in the garment factory on her own. State-owned garment factories in that era were still very powerful and would not even look at private orders. Lin Xia thought that Gao Zhixin had connections, so she approached him.
He is definitely more effective in speaking than herself. She may not even be able to see the production director, but he can meet the factory manager directly.
Most of the clothes in the store are selected from the market, but if you want to gain a foothold in Guangzhou, you must have something that others don’t have.
Everything is still in preparation. After Lin Xia finished the work at hand, she looked back and found that the children had all become quite tanned.
"Where have you been?" Lin Xia looked at the black-haired brats and widened her eyes in surprise.
A few children turned around muttering to themselves, and when they saw Lin Xia asking, their eyes rolled around, but they seemed to have made an appointment beforehand and refused to speak.
Seeing that they were safe and didn't look like they were fighting, Lin Xia waved her hand and said, "Forget it. Don't learn bad things, don't fight, and don't go to dangerous places."
"We didn't!" Lele retorted loudly.
Just because it doesn't happen now doesn't mean it won't happen later. The brat always has no sense of severity. Lin Xia looked at the steady An An, thinking that she would not learn bad things.
An An blushed slightly and said, "Mom, I know!"
Only after getting An An's assurance did Lin Xia feel relieved.
Seeing Lin Xia leaving, Lele complained unhappily, "Damn it! Why does mom trust you and not me?"
Xiaojun laughed happily and said, "Auntie Lin is also nagging like this!"
An An glared at Xiao Jun: "This is a sign of concern for us, don't you know?"
"Are you really not going to tell the parents about this?" An An asked with some concern on her face.
Lele glared at him, "Don't say that!"
Seeing that Niu Niu and Ning Ning were unwilling to say anything, An An had no choice but to nod and agree.
A few people went to murmur again, and Da Jun walked to An An and said softly, "It's okay. I don't think Aunt Lin would blame us if she knew about such a small matter."
In his opinion, Aunt Lin is such an open-minded person that she would definitely support them even if she knew about it.
An An always felt that it was not good to hide it from her mother, but seeing that no one was willing to say it, she had no choice but to shut up.
Lin Xia felt that these brats must be holding back on something, but she never expected it to be such a big deal.
