Chapter 11 Getting Married
"Just you wait and see, I won't let them have an easy time." As a woman, Shen Xizhen understood even better where a woman's jealousy lay.
It was Zheng Jiayu and Gu Yunting's first meeting, so it was easy to handle.
Gu Yunting was unaware of the brother and sister's scheme.
After discussing what he wanted to buy with Zheng Jiayu, he went to his boss to ask about the marriage application.
The leader handed the approved marriage application to Gu Yunting: "Now that you're bringing someone back, you have to treat her well. Don't do anything that would upset her, understand?"
"Don't worry, boss, I'll do a good job."
"Alright, let's go back."
Gu Yunting was on his way home with the marriage certificate when he ran into Shen Lin.
Shen Lin's gaze remained fixed on the marriage certificate in Gu Yunting's hand.
The report stung Shen Lin's eyes: "Brother Yunting, are you really going to get married?"
She had previously been convinced that their relationship was just going through the motions and wouldn't lead anywhere, but now, seeing the marriage application in Gu Yunting's hand, Shen Lin realized that things had changed.
Gu Yunting carefully put away the marriage certificate and gave a curt "hmm".

Shen Lin turned around and looked at Gu Yunting's departing figure, her eyes filled with resentment.
She was so gentle to someone she had just met, yet she had loved Gu Yunting for so many years and received only indifference in return.

She was really unwilling to accept it.
Shen Lin rushed home and said to Shen Xizhen, "Brother, Gu Yunting has submitted his marriage application, and the leader has approved it. What should we do next?"
Shen Xizhen looked up at her sister in surprise: "What did you say? Is this all true?"
Shen Lin nodded with a wry smile: "Absolutely true."
Faced with the sudden news, Shen Xizhen was unsure what to do, so he went to call his father alone.
"Dad, something unexpected has happened."
Upon receiving the call, Shen Yang's face darkened: "What happened? What exactly is Shen Lin doing?"
"Dad, Gu Yunting has brought his fiancée over. They're probably going to get their marriage certificate tomorrow."
"What? Shen Lin was there for so long and still couldn't win over Gu Yunting? What kind of work is she doing? She's utterly useless!" Shen Yang shouted angrily.
Shen Xizhen listened quietly to Shen Yang's words, not daring to interrupt or say a word.
After Shen Yang calmed down, Shen Xizhen continued, "Dad, what should we do next?"
Who is Gu Yunting's fiancée?
"The other person's name is Zheng Jiayu, and she comes from Sichuan." Shen Xizhen told Shen Yang about Zheng Jiayu's situation.
Upon hearing the name Zheng Jiayu, Shen Yang's voice turned strange: "Are you sure it's Zheng Jiayu?"
"It's Zheng Jiayu."
Shen Yang's voice revealed his happiness.
He said to Shen Xizhen, "Try to sow discord between Zheng Jiayu and Gu Yunting, preferably make Zheng Jiayu fall in love with you. Also, make Shen Lin hurry up and get Gu Yunting, and cooperate with you in this matter."
Shen Xizhen was somewhat surprised by this.
My father was so angry just now, how come he's happy now?
The sound was a little strange.
"Dad, who is Zheng Jiayu? Why did you make this decision after hearing her name?" Shen Xizhen always felt that Zheng Jiayu's identity might not be simple.
Otherwise, his father wouldn't have done that.
"Don't ask questions you shouldn't ask, just do as I say."

After hanging up the phone, Shen Xizhen returned home with doubts.
As soon as Shen Xizhen entered the room, Shen Lin grabbed his arm and asked anxiously, "Big brother, what did Dad say?"
"Dad wants me to get close to Zheng Jiayu, and at the same time, I want you to help me accomplish this, and at the same time marry Gu Yunting."
Shen Yang's order puzzled Shen Lin: "Brother, what exactly is the purpose of Dad's order?"
"Doing this doesn't seem to be doing us any good, does it?"

The next day, Gu Yunting drove Zheng Jiayu to the county town.
Zheng Jiayu had prepared herself for a bumpy ride, but to her surprise, Gu Yunting was a very good driver. Although there were bumps along the way, they weren't as bad as before, which made Zheng Jiayu breathe a sigh of relief.
Upon arriving in the county town, Gu Yunting first went with Zheng Jiayu to get their marriage certificate.
When she received the marriage certificate, Zheng Jiayu said in surprise, "I thought Shen Lin and the others would come and sabotage us, but they didn't."
Gu Yunting looked at Zheng Jiayu, who had a regretful expression, and asked, "You seem to really want Shen Lin to come and cause trouble? What good would that do you?"
Seeing Gu Yunting's dark expression, Zheng Jiayu coughed lightly and said, "You misunderstood. I was just saying it casually. After all, isn't that what people do when they're jealous of their family's power?"
"Because Shen Lin knows very well that if she really does something, I will take action directly and make sure she can't stay here any longer."
Zheng Jiayu nodded in understanding. "Oh, I see."
"I've remembered that, and I won't make the same mistake again."
Gu Yunting took the marriage certificate from Zheng Jiayu's hand: "I will keep this from today onwards."
Zheng Jiayu looked at her empty hand and then at Gu Yunting's resolute expression. After thinking for a moment, she said nothing and followed Gu Yunting to the supply and marketing cooperative.
Zheng Jiayu didn't bring many clothes with her to the north this time, so she went to buy some clothes. She originally planned to buy some for Gu Yunting, but Gu Yunting stopped her before she could even open her mouth.
"Just buy it for yourself. I usually wear training clothes and rarely wear my own clothes. Buy a few more sets." Gu Yunting looked at the ready-made clothes and picked up some nice dresses.
He thought Zheng Jiayu was so pretty, with such fair skin, that she would definitely look good in clothes.
