Shishi and Chou Chou finally got to eat the sweet fermented rice balls they had been longing for. They were sweet and chewy, and just what they wanted.
With their families reunited, the four women returned to their homes. The past is history, and a bright future awaits them.

Their families were disoriented and made frequent mistakes at work because their house was emptied overnight and there was a snake demon in the past. They were warned by the factory that if it happened again, they would be fired.
Xie Lin didn't listen to what was coming next. He focused on stocking up on goods, learned how to make fermented rice balls, and after learning that all four families had decided to move away from the city, he set off back to the island.

They also borrowed a driver so they wouldn't have to make another trip.
