"Dad, why aren't you sleeping?"
"Nannan wouldn't sleep and came to find you, so I brought her over. I was hoping to persuade her to sleep, but I didn't expect you guys to still be awake. Where's Xiao Xie? And where are Chou Chou and Xiao Shi?"
"Dad, I drew a lot of diagrams. Chou Dan is annotating them, Chou Chou is changing the markings on the big ship, and Xiao Shi is helping Chou Chou. They're busy and don't have time to look after us."
"Go back to sleep. I'll take care of Nannan. I'll give Daddy a big surprise tomorrow."
Xiao Dan's eyes lit up.
"Did you draw a lot of pictures?"
His daughter is very talented, but he doesn't force her to be overly ambitious. As long as she's happy, he's content. He's happy to give her a picture occasionally.
"Yes, there are a lot of them. Chou Dan said they're very useful. I'll give them to you tomorrow. Go back to sleep now. Old people aren't allowed to stay up late."
Despite being pushed out by his daughter's disdain, Xiao Dan still grinned and said, "Okay, okay, Dad will go back to sleep now. Don't stay out too late."
"Okay."
Xiao Dan had just left, shaking his head and swaying, when Shi Shi led her friends out of the hospital.
She held her daughter and sat on her second child's lap. "Come on, let's go to the family building. There are many apartments there, so we can hear many snoring sounds at once."
The little girl's eyes lit up, and her little hands touched the cool snakeskin. She was especially excited when she climbed up the outer wall of the building with her second child.
She flew away, she flew away.
It's definitely good to be with her older sister; she's no longer a baby lying on her stomach drinking milk.
"Eeya".
"Shh, sweetie, let me show you something. This is the woman in the whole compound who snores the loudest. I'll show you what she's capable of."
Listening to what others say can broaden one's horizons. If the little girl's biological mother knew this, I wonder what she would think?
