Upon closer inspection, the main actors firing the cannons turned out to be two little children.
"It's you, it's you! You're so naughty, you're going to throw Xiao Liu to feed the fish."
Little Liu stood with her hands on her hips, so angry that her two little pigtails shook off.
"Yes, it's this big bad guy. She got a male scoundrel to throw the baby away."
His soft, slow speech created a relaxed atmosphere, rather than a tense one, giving the impression of a child playing house.
He squeezed next to the two principals and squatted down in unison.
Well, the main character is the little guy, so bystanders should be mindful and not steal the spotlight.
Zhong Li suppressed her inner panic, never expecting that the two kids would actually come to her door, and with so many people with them.
She's only been back for a short time, how come those two kids are so fast?
She was wearing makeup at the time, and only wiped it off after leaving the woods. How did she recognize herself?
Could it be that someone saw me giving them directions back then?
She looked around, but apart from her classmates who lived on the same floor, she didn't recognize anyone.
Among a group of dirty little children, she found an adult with grass on his head.
There really are adults.
Luckily she ran away just now.
As long as you deny it to the death, nothing will happen.
"Children, what are you talking about? I don't know you. I just went to the library and came back."
Xiao Liu crossed her arms, tilted her head, and snorted, "Don't try to deny it. I'll remember you. You dare say you're not Zhong Li?"
"Little friend, I can testify, this is Zhong Li, she just came back from outside. Tell me, what did she do? Why did you call her a bad guy?"
Zhong Li's roommate readily revealed Zhong Li's identity.
The older sister took over, saying, "Because she's a bad auntie, and she and the child's wicked father are harming the baby."
"What?"
Guagua brought a mother and daughter from room 308.
Zhong Ya held the child, one hand protecting the neck and the other patting the baby's bottom, seemingly trying to lull the child to sleep.
The little guy was yawning with his mouth open and his eyes were squinting, looking like he was about to fall asleep.
"Children, what did you just say? Can you say it again?"
Zhong Ya's voice was very gentle, probably because she was afraid of disturbing her daughter.
But Zhong Li lost her composure, her voice becoming very shrill.
“Zhong Ya, what do you mean? They’re just two brats who were just weaned. Can you really believe what they say? My niece is frightened. You should take her back to sleep.”
"You can tell from that you're guilty." Shishi said this while cracking sunflower seeds, then peeked her head in when she saw the door next to her open.
"Excuse me, could I borrow a stool? A short one would be best."
The classmate tactfully handed over a small stool he had brought with him. It was very low, so sitting on it wouldn't be too high. Then he squatted down at the back of the crowd, in a row with Zhou Yuan. The two happened to be classmates.
The three old men were envious. Their legs were numb from squatting, and they also wanted a small stool, but they couldn't bring themselves to do it. Their eyes shone brightly as they looked at Shishi.
Shishi glanced at them and said, "Why didn't you ask earlier? The other students were already squatting down."
The classmate blinked, as if he understood something, and went back to the dormitory to bring out three small stools.
It belongs to my other roommates; they all have classes and aren't in the dorm.
