Chapter 7 Report to the Police

Qin Weiguo's job was suspended yesterday, and Qin Anning went directly to the food factory after making the call.

If she was done with that, she would sell the job as soon as possible to avoid any more trouble.

The security guard didn't even ask her when he saw her today, he just greeted her with a smile.

"Comrade, Deputy Director Xie said that when you arrive, go directly to his office."

Qin Anning thanked him and walked straight into the office building.

"Xiao Qin, you're here!"

There was another boy about her age in Deputy Director Xie's office.

Judging from their similar appearance, he should be Deputy Director Xie’s son.

Qin Anning smiled and said, "Thank you, Deputy Director. I happened to be passing by and came in to see how things are going at work."

Everyone knew what was going on. Deputy Director Xie said a few official words and got straight to the point.

“You are the child of a martyr, and the factory takes this matter very seriously.

We quickly verified and confirmed that this workstation was assigned to you by the government, and Qin Weiguo was asked to stop working yesterday.

But you need some paperwork to get this position back."

Qin Anning nodded to show his understanding and followed Deputy Director Xie to handle the formalities.

In less than an hour, the workstation was back in her hands.

Then in less than ten minutes, she transferred him out.

After all this trouble, it was already noon. With the money and tickets, she didn't want to let herself go and went straight to the state-owned restaurant to eat.

A roast duck costs eight yuan, a medium bowl of duck bone soup costs forty cents, and a large bowl costs sixty cents. According to the current prices, this is a high consumption.

The duck is plump and full, with crispy skin and tender meat. It is fat but not greasy, and lean but not dry. It is worthy of being a special food.

Qin An Ning ate half of it, ordered another one, and packed up the remaining half together and took them away, putting them in his space to eat later.

I don’t know if the Qin family has returned. What would they feel like if they found that their house was empty?

Qin An Ning was a little impatient and quickened his pace.

As she reached the gate, she heard crying and shouting, so she quickly squeezed in.

"Comrades, we had so much stuff in our house, and it was all stolen overnight. Not a single thing was left.

This is not allowing people to live, you have to make the decision for us!"

Huang Guifen, with one arm hanging, sat on the ground, crying bitterly.

When the snot comes out, pinch it with your thumb and index finger and flick it out.

The people around were so scared that they quickly hid away, looking extremely disgusted.

While Huang Guifen was wiping her tears, she looked up and saw Qin Anning in the crowd, pointing at her excitedly, "Comrade Public Security, quickly catch this crazy guy.

The thief must have colluded with her. She beat us all up and sent us to the hospital. No one was home, so the thief came and stole things."

Qin An Ning raised his eyebrows slightly. He didn't expect that Huang Guifen could just make up a story and guess it almost right.

Aunt Zhao, who had the worst relationship with Huang Guifen in the compound, was the first to speak, "Huang Guifen, I know you have a bad heart and don't like this child.

But you have to find a decent excuse to bite me. We all saw it with our own eyes when An Ning went out this morning.

The child had nothing in his hands."

"Of course we are. We have no right to say anything about the child's abuse, but we can't throw mud at him like that."

"Exactly. How could a child empty out all those beds, cabinets, and furniture?"

The police also found it strange. They had just asked and no one in the yard heard anything.

No one has ever seen a stranger, so how could something disappear out of thin air?

"It's her, there's no one else but her, she hates us!"

Huang Guifen kept pestering Qin An Ning, and the police came to ask Qin An Ning what he had done outside.

Qin Anning looked sad, “Comrade Public Security, I’m going to the countryside soon, and I don’t know when I can come back to visit my parents at the cemetery in the suburbs.

You can send someone to check. My parents' grave is overgrown with weeds, and I just cleaned it up."

After saying that, he looked at Huang Guifen coldly. He took advantage of all the benefits of her family, but didn't even take care of her parents' graves. He was not worthy of being a human being.

Some people in the compound couldn't stand it and told all sorts of stories about the Qin family's inhumane behavior.

They don’t know anything else, but how could an entire compound be completely unaware of child abuse?

Many of the public security forces are retired soldiers.

When she heard that Qin Anning was the child of a martyr and had suffered such a great injustice, she immediately became dissatisfied with Huang Guifen.

Moreover, Qin An Ning spoke frankly, which made the balance in her heart tilted compared to Huang Guifen's groundless accusations.

Qin Anning continued, "Then I went to the food factory to do some work, and there were many people there who could testify."

As for eating roast duck, there is no need to say more.

"What are you doing at the food factory?" Huang Guifen forgot to cry and asked in a shrill voice.

Is that little girl going to ask for a job?

It’s over, it’s over. I have to tell the head of the family quickly. If my son loses his job, he will have to go to the countryside.

That won’t do!

Qin Anning ignored Huang Guifen and spoke directly to the police, "Comrade, I don't know what's going on at home, but what I said is the truth. You can check it out as you like."

The little girl was tall and thin, with a pair of watery eyes full of sincerity on her palm-sized face.

Stand there neither humble nor arrogant, openly and honestly.

People in their line of work deal with all kinds of people, so they can still tell the truth from lies.

The police nodded, somewhat dissatisfied with Huang Guifen's unprovoked trouble.

"Comrade Huang, Comrade Qin Anning has a witness. We can tell the truth of what she said once we ask her.

Besides, it's impossible for her to move the things away quietly by herself. Your accusation is totally unfounded."
