The streets after the battle were filled with a tense and exhausted atmosphere.
The trees along the street swayed gently in the breeze, their leaves rustling as if they too were sighing over this thrilling battle.
Zhao Qian and Xia Wan stood side by side. They exchanged only a few words, but large beads of sweat rolled down their cheeks and dripped onto the dusty ground, disappearing instantly as if they had never been there.
Zhao Qian frowned slightly, his chest heaving as he gasped for breath, trying to calm himself down from the recent battle.
He looked coldly at the several people lying haphazardly on the ground. Even though they were unconscious, their heavy and rough breathing still carried a dangerous aura, as if they could wake up at any moment and launch another attack.
Zhao Qian looked serious and turned to Xia Wan, saying, "Comrade Xia Wan, could you please go to the Public Security Bureau and tell Qin Yue that Black Hawk has been captured and that he should bring his men over immediately?"
His tone was filled with an undeniable urgency, his brows were tightly furrowed, and his eyes reflected a high degree of responsibility for the mission and concern for the situation.
He knew perfectly well that these spies were extremely dangerous, and that they might be part of a vast spy network. If they escaped, not only would all his previous efforts be in vain, but it could also cause enormous losses to the country and its people, with unimaginable consequences.
So at this point, he had to stay here and couldn't leave even for a moment, so he could only ask Xia Wan for help.
Xia Wan's heart skipped a beat. She had already seen the dangerous agent label on these people in her unique system, and naturally understood the importance of this matter. Without the slightest hesitation, she immediately nodded and said, "Okay, I'll go right away!"
Her eyes were resolute, radiating a courageous spirit, like a warrior about to go into battle. That determined gaze seemed to declare that no matter how many difficulties and obstacles lay ahead, she would forge ahead without hesitation.
She knew that she bore an important mission and had to convey this crucial information as soon as possible to contribute to the country's security.
Before leaving, Xia Wan worried that the spies might recover and attack Zhao Qian again. She quickly took out silver needles from her small bag. The silver needles gleamed coldly in the blazing sun, as if they were telling the story of the mission that was about to begin.
She walked quickly to each of the agents, her movements practiced and swift, and pricked each of them.
Her technique is precise; every needle is inserted into a key acupoint. This is the result of her years of hard work and a powerful weapon for protecting her comrades.
She had a strong interest in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture since she was a child, and after countless days and nights of study and practice, she finally mastered this unique skill.
Only after confirming that they wouldn't wake up anytime soon did she turn and leave, relieved. Zhao Qian merely raised an eyebrow at her practiced yet peculiar action, offering no questioning. At that moment, he was more concerned with the progress of the mission, and these details were temporarily set aside.
Xia Wan jogged all the way towards the Public Security Bureau.
The summer sun was as scorching as a burning flame, relentlessly baking the earth, and waves of heat rose from the ground, making people feel as if they were in a giant steamer.
Sweat streamed down her face, one drop after another, soaking her collar and gradually drenching her clothes, which clung tightly to her back.
She didn't bother wiping the sweat from her forehead or caring about her blurred vision; she had only one thought in her mind: to get the message to Qin Yue as soon as possible.
After all, those people had given her too many points, and their identities as spies had been confirmed. The situation was extremely urgent, and every second was precious; she had to hurry. Along the way, her figure moved through the heatwave, her steps firm and rapid, attracting the attention of passersby.
Some people cast curious glances, wondering why the girl was in such a hurry; others looked worried, wondering if something urgent had happened.
Upon arriving at the police station, Xia Wan, barely catching her breath, her chest heaving, immediately asked the police officer at the door for Qin Yue's location. Her face was filled with anxiety, and her eyes revealed a hint of unease.
However, she didn't say what she wanted to see Qin Yue about. Instead, she anxiously asked the police officer to pass on a message to Qin Yue, saying that Zhao Qian's sister was looking for him. She knew that the fewer people who knew about this kind of confidential mission, the better, to avoid any unforeseen complications.
If the information is leaked, not only could the spies escape, but the lives of many more people could also be endangered.
A police officer quickly came out with a man.
The man walked with a steady gait, each step firm and powerful. His eyes were sharp, as if they could see through all pretenses, and he exuded an aura of competence.
"Excuse me, are you Comrade Qin Yue?" Xia Wan asked politely, her voice slightly out of breath from running, but she still maintained the proper courtesy.
She tried to keep her voice calm, not wanting the other person to realize how urgent the situation was.
The man looked up at the unfamiliar girl in front of him, a hint of wariness flashing in his eyes: "I am. Who are you? What do you want?"
The mention of Zhao Qian's name made him wary. Zhao Qian was an orphan; how could he have a sister? His eyes were full of scrutiny, as if trying to find a flaw in Xia Wan's expression and words.
His gaze swept over Xia Wan, scrutinizing every detail, from her disheveled hair to her sweat-soaked clothes.
Xia Wan quickly repeated Zhao Qian's instructions in a low voice: "Comrade Qin Yue, Comrade Zhao Qian asked me to pass on a message to you, saying that Black Hawk has been captured and that you should take your men there as soon as possible."
She lowered her voice and glanced around to make sure no one could hear the crucial information.
